  1. Basically, the fact that someone is kind and generous does not mean that person is not destructive. Or that they doesn't view entropy as the elemental force driving everything. Or that they don't view the ending as the thing that defines and completes the thing. Or... And so on, and so on. People are generally complicated beings and they cannot be reduced to two traits and their traits could be what people can see as contradictory. We don't know that.
  2. So, a bit of update on my part: The dropped laptop came back. New disk, SSD this time, gonna cost a bit (~42% of what I bought the laptop for). The old disk... I hope something is recoverable, as I have absolutely no backup. (Yeah, I know) Most of my writing and worldbuilding notes were there + some other stuff I won't be able to get back from somewhere else (like 1000+ bookmarks in Firefox). I have an operational comp back now, so I'll go back to being more active Good news is that my uni accepted me back, so I can go back to studying. Today I had the signing up for classes done, and my plan is a bit over the place but it definitely could be worse (signing up time is between 8 am and 2 pm and I was assigned a start on 1:21 pm... which is super late and good stuff was already taken). Now I think I'm gonna take a nap, I spent most of the night setting up plan A, B, C through G (none of which were good, cause the stuff was already taken), so...

    Lift

Good! Although Lift looks kinda older than she should be? But maybe that's just me.
  4. I can't find the confirmation that both ending of WoR are canonical in respect to Shardblade killings and revivals. IIRC it was Peter saying it in one of Edgedancer threads. EDIT: Nevermind, found it:
  5. If by "possession" you mean "it traveled with the same transport", then yeah, you're right.
  6. That's the purpose of AMAs, yes. My sleep cycle is messed up. I'm prone to staying up super late and then sleeping through classes (or however you call it at uni). If I have a free day off, I can sleep for 16 hours and I would not wake up without alarm. Wasn't there a WoB on that? Check in a few independent sources if it's not a hoax. Whatever government said, probably. Unless it was stupid. Yes. Potatoes cannot move. I'd say it's a drastic difference. They sum up to The Answer?
  7. And what would that spoilers be? I have not seen any Oathbringer spoiler here.
  8. Yeah. Wait, did you perhaps mean to post that in Oathbringer spoilers subforum? I figure I should have asked earlier but so far there are no spoilers here.
  9. Oh, I didn't mean at the feast. She shows up somewhere else. And who do you think he might be? IIRC the most popular theory was that it's the drunk that asks Szeth if he had seen him. Good observation. What do you think of the man accompanying Nale? The options are either Kalak or Ishar (he talks about Szeth's Blade as "his own lord's", so he can't be Jezrien, and he can't be Taln).
  10. Yeah. He's the most noticeable of all the Heralds showing up in the first two books. Have you found Pailiah yet?
  11. Even better combo is when you throw in Radiant Lightweaver I have explained my reasoning here:
  12. @Zape at the beginning of Bands of Mourning there's a blink-and-you-miss-it reference by VenDell to Kelsier having Ascended to Preservation. This should have been a hint that there's something more going on with Kelsier than we have seen.
  13. Actually, rights for adapting whole Cosmere into films have been bought out and Brandon have been talking about it, see for yourself. Not gonna touch on the topic of Kingkiller, as you clearly are biased on that.
  14. @hoiditthroughthegrapevine to be honest, I don't see why are you binding yourself to our votes. It's your book, your money and your personalisation (which will stay on the book forever). Our votes can be helpful in determining which questions are the best, or which ones we find interesting, but - and I think @RShara would agree with me - they should be nothing more than an aid for you in deciding which one to ask. If there is a question you like more, please choose it. Even if it has zero upvotes and it's silly.
  15. Personally, I think it's a waste of a question. More importantly, Brandon has asked us to not ask these kinds of questions: From the same WoB, here's this part: and as it is from August 30th 2017, just five months ago, I'd take it as "Eshonai's not going to return". Cal, I disagree because of the WOB I linked To be honest, if I were him, I'll RAFO most of these kinds of questions, even if I was 100% sure they are 100% dead. RAFOs have to have a margin, otherwise they turn into confirmations. That's why it's important to occassionaly RAFO questions about sensitive matter (like who's dead for good), even if the answer is very simple and you're not gonna change it.
  16. Please go into long phsycologicla rant. I beg.
  17. No, unfortunately.
  18. But Moash's eyes did not turn blue. They turned light tan.
  19. First off, the Red Rip's page is full of chull dung - it gives extensive descriptions to the red haze surrounding Scadrial (Trell's assault): https://coppermind.net/wiki/Red_Rip Basically everything after Appearance section should be deleted, or perhaps the non-speculative parts moved to Trell's page. Now, Taln's scar presents speculation as fact, as it says Taln's Scar is the same as Red Rip, which we do not have confirmed (or at least it's not sourced). We only have it confirmed that the Red Rip and Starbelt are one and the same. Since we have pages for both Red Rip and Taln's Scar, why does Starbelt is only a section in Threnody? I think it should have it's own page.
  20. Why only ideas come to me in such quantity and quality at times like this? Aka - my mind wanders, I'm tired, I should have long be sleeping (it's 4:30 am), some quiet acoustic guitar music plays... boom! I have had a few solid ideas to fix the plot and another few good ideas for worldbuilding.
  21. Until Voidbringers turn up Only now I have realized that you have more rep than I have posts
  22. Some people think First Era is better. However, some people - including me - believe that Second Era is better than the First.
  23. I know of no source for that claim. I do know that Brandon said you can read Secret History after Hero of Ages if you don't care about Second Era, but if you do, you should read it after Bands of Mourning. @Turtleboi Arcanum Unbound is a collection of short stories, and there is one that is meant to be read after Elantris, one that is accompanying Second Era (Allomancer Jak) and one that is meant to be read after Bands of Mourning (Secret History). The rest of them you're good to read. If I were you, I'd go read Elantris now, then Second Mistborn Era and then AU.
  24. Tashikk would be far more appropriate, don't you think?
