  1. When you're reading something (like Powder Mages Trilogy - I recommend) and looking for behind the scenes stuff. Then you go online and realize that there's nothing... Cosmere broke me so hard :<
  2. Still, Kelsier is the founder of the church he is in. And Kelsier was god, if only for a time. Taking into account that people of Final Empire worshipped a perfectly physical man (although with godlike powers)... he may not be praying to him but certainly he would treat Kelsier like a prophet maybe?
  3. I've added the second film in Polish Legends series. Check it out:
  4. Second one. This one is titled "Twardowsky". Warning: some mildly strong language. Here's the legend: Wikipedia. Easter Eggs: ... Elvis? I think that one is obvious and self-explanatory. Music: (in chronological order) When Twardowski drives around: Wszystko ch... Nothing of note, really. Plays on radio: Zegarmistrz Światła Purpurowy. (title: Crimson Watchmaker of Light) Masterpiece 10/10. You may have heard it in This War of Mine trailer. The disco music: ... is anybody even interested in that? It's garbage and is used intentionally because it's garbage Credits music: Dni, których nie znamy. (Days we don't know) it's good. No covers today. Next up: Twardowsky 2.0. BTW, if you're interested in translation of the lyrics or anything, feel free to ask or PM me.
  5. There's also the thing that all three godmetals of Ruin and Preservation are accounted for: lerasium (P), atium (R), harmonium (R&P). Trellium isn't any of those things, so I deduce it comes form different Shard altogether.
  6. Yes, they are. I don't know what you mean. There was no 2001 Witcher movie. Never.
  7. Okay, I wanted to post here but then I realized I'd need to give some context and stuff and I wouldn't want to spam the topic... Have you heard of Polish Legends short films? You should watch them. I made a thread for it so I can give context and stuff
  8. Allegro (which is sort of Polish Ebay) has launched a series of short films which are modern retellings of Polish folklore tales. Yes, there are English subtitles, fear not. They're directed by Tomasz Bagiński and made by Platige Image. If those names don't ring any bells, Bagiński's Cathedral (based on a short story of famous Polish sci-fi author, Jacek Dukaj) was nominated for an Oscar in 2003 (and also won some other awards). Still nothing? You probably have heard of Witcher trailers. Those are people who made them (and also Cyberpunk 2077 trailer). (Platige Image also done many other awesome things) There are five films in total (as of right now). I'll post each one separately, while providing the thing it's based on, references it includes, linking the songs it covers etc. You can choose to read up before watching or later (or never), I leave it up to you. ----------------------------- The first one is The Dragon. Here's the legend on Wikipedia. TL; DR: wikipedia anchored. What's the deal with the man playing on the tower? Wikipedia again. Easter eggs: Music: Plays during news and credits: Cichosza: oryginal. The cover they used is avalaible on spotify playlist they made or download here. The Dragon plays and sings a song but it's nothing of note, really: Najwięcej witaminy: oryginal. I'm including it only because here everyone has probably heard it in some form. BTW, the city it's happening in is Kraków/Cracow. Brandon's gonna visit it in two months. The rest four films are inter-connected... but spoilers! Anyway, this one is stand-alone with a subtle nod given in next film. I admit it's not that great but the next two are awesome. I'll probably post the next one tomorrow (so like in 12 hours or something) or on Friday.
  9. Took me less than minute to find: www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=977#167 EDIT: Since I'm already getting downvoted, I want to add that you should have searched for it. It's not exactly hard to find. from OP.
  10. Or a swivel chair without wheels.
  11. Once I complete I'll share it anyway I have to dig through the Ultimate Questions thread :<
  12. Ah, the thin line I have to thread to balance between asking about what I want to know and getting RAFO'd
  13. SANDERSON COMING TO POLAND IN MARCH I CAN BARELY CONTAIN MYSELF I know it's not as exciting for you guys, who can go and meet him somewhere few times a year but for me it will be an extremely rare event. I have to go compile my list of questions.
  14. Are you really implying that
  15. Since that thing got a little more alive, what do you guys think about turning it into a place to craft and discuss theories? That is, if anyone is willing to share what theory they're working on to get some pre-publication feedback. In the meantime, I started WoB Stack Exchange. It's a place to help with finding those WoBs you swear you remember but can't find anymore.

Burned atium went back to the Pits to be produced again. It was a stable cycle. IIRC Preservation cut off Part of Ruin and forced it to produce atium. That's why they were equal in strength even with Preservation having Invested humans more.
  17. I doubt that on Roshar, being so 10-centric, would liespren have names in binary. They're gonna be in denary, I think.
  18. @hwiles I just don't remember anything like that from SH. That's why I'm so confused. Also, IIRC it's hard for spren to move offworld. SH
  19. What do you mean? Anyway, as for the mail delivery: I think @hwiles is right. You ask somebody and if he's going in the right direction, you give them your letter. Anybody read Name of the Wind? Remember how delivering letters works there? Let's say Alice on Sel wrote the letter to Quentineu on Roshar. Bob going in the general direction of Roshar buys the letter from Alice. Then, when Bob no longer goes in the right direction (makes a stop at Silverlight), Cecil buys the letter from Bob for sligthly more. Then, when Cecil ends his journey on Scadrial, he sells the letter to David, who is travelling from Scadrial to Nalthis. Then David sells the letter on Nalthis to Eugene who's going to Roshar. Then Eugene sells the letter to Quentin. Each middleman makes some money off of this and the letter gets delivered.
  20. I've seen some of yours, they're awesome. Who else wanna dive in Creation Daily? We could make it a thing.
  21. And in surprsing plot twist the next Random Stuff would get named "The Admin Jedi". And now for something completely different: I need to comb through Creation Daily for my posts as I have not have them saved anywhere else. I don't even know how many pages there are. I don't remember when I first posted there. Sounds fun. And I get to read all those ideas people had.
  22. So, we finally know how the "Random Stuff XI" will be titled. THE ADMIN JEDI THE LAST ADMIN
  23. Remember when I talked about a world where secret magic societies started revealing themselves and subtly taking over governments due to the world going crapsack? How about a short story where that part about reveal didn't happen? But world is becoming hellish anyway. The story would be a mage hunting down and stopping those people who gone rogue and decided to go against Masquerade? I would aim at depressing mood; he knows why they're doing this, he feels the same urge but he upholds the Masquerade over it; becomes bitter and burn out. He understands that nothing good would have come out from a coup pulled by mages... but does he believe that any longer? Finally, over the course of the story, he breaks too.
