Steph's mind was beginning to grow frazzled. She had been trying her hardest at University and yet she felt she hadn't learned nearly enough. Steph had never been the brightest student, in fact, she was really near the bottom of her class. It wasn't that she didn't want to learn, she just had trouble staying focused. Her mind tended to stray every which way, not just in lessons, but in her day to day conduct as well. But she was eager to learn, which had always kept her from failing. Her mother always said "My dear, I don't mind if you're not the top of the class so long as you do your best, and don't give up is what's really important." Her mother...Oh how she missed her mother. It had only be a few months since she'd last seen her, but it seemed like ages ago. Sitting by the fireside at night in her mother's chamber, the dim lighting making her nod off to sleep as her mother stroked her hair. She ached for that sense of peace and protection again. She was already anxious enough about going off to University on her own, but really? Skindancers? NOT what she had in her original list of things to worry about. How could this be happening? It almost seemed unreal, but yet she knew it was most certainly real. Several of her fellow classmates had already fallen victim and gone insane. Would she be next? "I want to go to town, I'm sure some shopping would put my mind at ease. Maybe I can buy myself a new outfit.....or maybe some rare fruit... I'll go tomorrow, but first I really need to sit down and write my mother a letter to tell her how everything is going(probably not everything, no need to cause her to worry as well)" she thought, as she tried to calm herself from the fears dancing* through her mind. (*pun intended) Who needs sleep right? I was laying there and thought up a RP so I thought I'd write it up and post before it got lost in my thoughts. Goodnight all for real. Yay for an actual RP (pretty sure this is my first RP that was longer than a paragraph. woot woot )

ok guys i thought the cycle ended at 1AM last night which is why I was all like "burnt cant defend herself" and now i just feel dumb and can only plead slightly lost as randuir said. will read the writeup in a minute.

Hm okay, i'm sorry for being so wishy washy (you can hate me it's okay i hate me too ) but seeing as how Burnt isn't the only one able to buy a gram I think I'll remove my vote from her. I'm still suspicious of her, obviously, but I don't want her to get uber punished just because of her rank if she's NOT a skindancer, plus it doesn't look like she'll have time to comment on any of this til next turn so I want to give her a fighting chance at least. I'm sure this whole conversation will carry into the next turn.

I'm going to take my vote off of Wilson, because I trust her more now that she's targeted Burnt. I thought there would probably be a Vintish Noble skindancer, and seeing as how Mage was already sabotaged, only me and Burnt are left. I didn't vote on her earlier because I didn't want to vote on her just based on her rank, but Wilson brought up a good argument with the gram. And as I obviously know I'm village then my suspicions are on Burnt. If the skindancers don't have a VN then I'm sorry. Edit: I would like to hear from Burnt though, it kinda sucks that she can't try to stick up for herself (unless she hurries rn).

@little wilson i just didn't catch that you only wanted people who wanted tuition reductions to vote on you at first. which is why, after you asked me about tuitions, i removed my vote on you? the only reason i wanted to place a second vote was because I wanted to lower my penalties. I've already said this several times.

@little wilson Ok i knew you had placed a vote on me I just wasn't sure who it was that did the first vote. I put a vote on you (D1) because, if i remember correctly, the cycle was about to be over and I wanted to place a vote that would do the least amount of harm and since you had said you didn't mind if people voted on you i went ahead and did it. I wasn't trying to close the option for anyone else. Although I don't much see how it mattered because if someone else had voted on you twice already I would've still voted on someone else. so either way the same amount of people would've been voted on. I placed a vote on you this time because, yes, I am suspicious of you. And now I am of Burnt for reasons you stated becuase didn't even know the grams were sold out, so thanks for telling me. I don't see why it would be unheard of if a skindancer offered themselves up? It's not like you get exposed and it's an easy way to get on people's good sides.

This post is going to take forever since I never got to say my thoughts on last cycle. I will c&p things and quotes will be in bold and purple since I can't quote from the closed thread. This will probably get posted way later then when I'm starting it bc i only have a few minutes rn and I'll continue later. Drake: "As for voting this cycle... I suppose voting on a genuine suspicion this turn is a good idea. Voter participation isn't quite so critical in this game, where lynches don't reveal alignment, but actual discussion about suspicions might prove enlightening. I wouldn't vote for no reason though. Try to find a real suspicion to vote on this cycle, even if its a very weak one. We still have a chance at learning information from a lynch, if we treat it like a real lynch." While I think it'd be a good idea to cast actual suspicious votes, I wish people hadn't made me the target. you meanies. (Ok this is lit taking forever and I'm too lazy to do this I'm thinking abt giving up on this post, I'll prob just comment on things from this cycle. ) Sorry for getting in late, it's kinda hard when the middle of the cycle is my sleeping time. I won't be saying where I'm staying thank you very much. Every one seems to be trying to kill me anyways. Which doesn't seem smart to me seeing as how we've already lost one Vintish Noble, and I'm sure the skindancers would be glad to get rid of me as a resource. 1. I literally barely knew how to play at that point and I hadn't even gone over what all of the roles were yet. I just had grouped them for myself for later analysis so I thought I'd share it to save people some time. 2. It sounded like a good plan and I wanted to follow it since no one else was really suggesting any and he seemed to have a better understanding of the game than I. To get a plan going you NEED to have people eager to support you, so that's why I was trying to help him out but was unsure of it so that's why I asked him to clarify. I didn't understand how the DP worked yet either and was trying to learn as I went instead of studying the rules which was wrong on my part I was just being lazy. 3. Then, when I had looked over the rules for myself I saw how the votes affected DP I decided it made sense to vote. When I said I didn't see how it helped, I meant in terms of information because it doesn't help. 4. BrightnessRadiant no offense lov u So how can you say I didn't do my own analyzing? the only reason I ended up placing votes was because some voted on me (wilson i think ?) and so I wanted to spread the votes around to lower my risks. why were you even suspicious of me fr I had barely done anything. and it should've been clear I was just confused by the rules. so for that reason Wilson thank u PK Why are you for casting a complaint on me when I ended up going with YOUR plan. meanie I literally explained my reasoning though. I didn't understand it and then I thoroughly read the rules and posted about it??

Sorry for not being active during last turn guys!! I was busy until nighttime and had been planning to post but then once I had free time I had forgotten and gone to sleep. I'll try to be more active this turn! I did read everything from last turn, but most of it was after the discussion was closed and I never have gotten to analyze it all yet. So I'll try to have a real post soon!

So thanks guys for putting in votes last cycle. (even if you were all mostly doing it to lower tuition) I agree that I don't think we shouldn't cast random votes this time, but isn't that normal for D2? We just did randoms on D1 to lower tuitions/even the DP. I can't PM anyone for this turn(since my actions are blocked from my reckless behavior), but if anyone wants to start a PM with me feel free and I'll reply next cycle (maybe ). @Elbereth Can a player with their actions on hold still go to Imre? I wasn't quite sure what counts as an 'action'.

btw @Hemalurgic_Headshot, I wasn't trying to accuse you of being suspicious, in fact, the opposite. I just wondered if you could clarify for Drake since he seemed a bit confused by your reasoning which is why I asked you to confirm that it wasn't malicious. wilson I forgot that I had two votes, so. and @Drake Marshall I interpreted Hemalurgic's vote on Mage to be solely for the tuition reduction/up the vote tally. I think what he was referring to in the info part was that he was just voting for Mage at random /because/ there is no suspicious information to actually cast a real complaint D1.@Hemalurgic_Headshot could you better clarify your reasoning for your vote?

Ah, okay PK, thank you for clarifying for a dumb noble like me, I never payed too much attention to lessons while my mind was adrift on all the fancy things to buy next time I went shopping. It's a solid idea though I don't really see how it helps (besides lowering tuition ,obviously). (although I guess it's better than no votes / random person getting voted on a lot since we don't know anything yet this first round!) So, the tuition lowering thing is the only reason we're doing this, right? BrightnessRadiant, no offense fam. @Sart I made my list off of the player list at the start of the cycle and his name is "Hael" Hydra there.

I guess you could say he dreamed of noskin-dancers? @Paranoid King , Could you be so kind as to elaborate on the "lets cast complaints on lots of diff people" for me because it kinda sounds like a good idea but also kinda confusing? (just like the logic behind it/why you think it's a good idea) I don't want to follow a plan I don't fully understand. Thanks in advance. @STINK Isn't it probably a good idea to keep what art you're studying a secret from the thread?

Steph couldn't believe what was happening! Seriously? One of the Masters was DEAD?! She had wanted to go to the University to learn, not get bogged down in sadness. Honestly the meaning of life, she believed, was to be happy. These skindancers would pay for messing with her good and cheery vibes. She was rich, sure, but money couldn't buy happiness. She couldn't let the death of her soon-to-be Master go without justice. "I will avenge you, Master Droughtbringer!!!! I'll do whatever it takes, even if that means spending every last talent, jot, and drab I have!" she exclaimed, mostly to herself. (not by choice or because of insanity, but because she was generally avoided by the rest of the students) I haven't read king killers so this is going to prob be confusing for a while so any RPs might not be very accurate to the books bc idk about them To help ease analyzation (for myself), I grouped the students into their ranks in the order shown so I thought I'd post it for others.
