Nowko looked up. "For remembrance", he said. Then he turned his head down again, back towards the papers on his desk. That was rude. Hopefully Nowko wasn't one of those bosses that despised people in all body shapes and forms but still managed to get a position of power. "Hey, Nel, let's get out of the doctor's way. Come on, we'll go get something to eat," Len said. NeLaar turned and left the room, grateful to get away from Dr. Nowko King-of-Grouchiness Lestibournes. Len seemed much friendlier, and food was always a good idea. Len closed the door. "Sorry about that. He gets like that sometimes, especially when he doesn't have a problem to solve. He doesn't mean anything by it." The Forger turned and called out to the air. "Ena, mind scouting ahead and finding us someplace with food?" A small orb of light drifted down from the ceiling. "Of course, Len," it said. NeLaar jumped. It spoke! "Try for something with a little flavor; the people here like their food blander than water," Len said. "I believe the Terris cuisine employs a number of spices in common with MaiPon, Len," The light said. "Find us some of that, then," Len said. "Of course, Len. I will return shortly." It moved away and NeLaar jumped again. He'd never seen anything like it on either Scadrial or First of the Sun. Len turned back to the kandra and smiled, as if he hadn't just been talking to a ball of light that had talked back. "Anyway, I gather you had some questions the old grump couldn't be bothered to answer?" "Um. Could you get some --" NeLaar hastily stopped the word cadaver from slipping out "--meat? Raw pork will be fine."

That sounds pretty interesting. It would be a nice break from these role-madness games we've been having recently.

NeLaar looked at the sign hammered onto the front door, which, even from this distance, had clearly been crafted with loving precision. The Abundance, Scadrian Offices, it said. It was an interesting name. Not something practical, like the Doctor's Guild, or something cute, like a Murder of Malpractitioners, but The Abundance. And it was home for exactly 3 doctors. NeLaar spun around in his chair and grinned. After being burned alive in First of the Sun, it was nice to be back in Scadrial, with its modern conveniences (like electricity and running water); allomancy (there was surprising comfort in feeling that familiar pang of envy when he saw coinshots displaying their power); and spinney chairs (he imagined it to be like leaping through the mists, but more horizontal). NeLaar used his feet to propel himself and the chair to the door. "Nowko, why's this guild called 'the Abundance'?"

You now have a golden ball with a diameter of 500m! Touching it would cause some of your slin cells to die, so it is kept far away from you or any other living being in an unknown location in space. I wish to have a new pair of high quality sneakers. They must be US women's size 5. I must be able to run, jump, stomp, and do all other actions that involve physical exertion comfortably, and no damage may happen to the sneakers except for what wear would normally occur to a high quality pair of sneakers. I must have two sneakers that my feet can fit into, and the sneakers must be aesthetically pleasing unless it would make them less functional or comfortable to me. The sneakers must include laces, one shoelace threaded though each sneaker in the same pattern that sneakers normally have their laces threaded in. The sneakers must appear in a location fully accessable to me, and no event may befall the locations the sneakers appear in that would make these location any less accessible to me. No event may befall me that would make the location any less accessible to me. I must be notified via a 17th shard PM when and where my sneakers will arrive and no event may block my ability or will to receive this notification. No physical, social, or emotional harm may befall me as a consequence of receiving my sneakers. I must be able to use and enjoy my new high quality sneakers between the hours of 0700 and 2300 seven days a week until my new high quality sneakers naturally degrade beyond practical use. I must get the sneakers by 1200 April 10 2016 CE of the standard solar calendar.

Verre ArSel is wondering why I want to be able to have a private conversation with people. Seriously, I don't get his issue with private conversations. Kae might be fine with all this group discussion stuff, but I'm not Kae. Private conversations feel, well, more private than shouting out all your secrets to the city. This is the first time that I've ever been barred from having a private conversation from someone in my own city. Yeah, some people have died, but just because they're dead doesn't mean the rest of us are too. We still have lives! So if I want to get some metals from Kwon or pet Star Thief's cat or hang out with Jala, I shouldn't be barred from speaking. This is the first game I've been in that I've had limited private communication. Other games, I was evil or dead and had docs to entertain myself in. This game I don't, and I'm feeling very deprived. So, windwhisper(er), would you mind scanning me?

Kae Jala paused and said, "Oh come on, Kae. Moonlight's the cutest thing! She's so soft and adorable! How can you not like that?" "Kae lost interest in cute, fuzzy things when he went to Elendel University," Verre said. "He had to sell his soul to get in." "I did not!" Kae said. "I just became more mature and responsible. That's what happens when you go to a university." "Same thing," Verre said. When Kae went to Elendel University, he had to sacrifice a lot of his free time and mostly abandoned Verre. She still hasn't forgotten.

Kae "Were you talking about me?" Star Thief asked, as a small white cat jumped down on top of Star's head. "Because if you were, I didn't steal anything. Nope, not me." The small girl laced her hands together in front of her, and looked at Kae with puppy eyes, as if that would convince him of her innocence. Unfortunately for Star Thief, Kae had a sister and was immune to puppy eyes. "!!!!!!!!! You have a cat!!!! That's adorable!!!! Can I pat it? Pleeease?!" Jala rushed towards Star Thief and ogled the white cat. "Kae, she has a cat on her head!" Star Thief leaned backwards, away from Jala. "Um, yes?" She answered. "Her name is Moonlight." Star Thief lifted the cat off her head and offered it to Jala. "Jala, maybe you should give Star Thief a little bit of space," Kae said. "Star Thief, it's strange that you have nothing to discuss, but the moment I say that you should be lynched, you appear to announce your presence, but you don't do anything else." "Kitty!" Someone called. Kae turned and saw Verre running towards the white cat. "Kae, can I pet it?" Kae sighed. "I don't know what appeal you and Jala see in that cat, but sure."

Kae "Do you think Star Thief could be an Inquisitor?" Kae asked. "I haven't seen them around here for a while. I know they're probably taking advantage of all this confusion to mug a few people, but it's also possible that they're the one who's been murdering people." "Might be easier to kill someone than to leave them alive if you want to steal stuff," Verre called out. "I just want to make sure Star Thief is still here," Kae said. "Apparently calling for people's deaths was a good way to get them to speak in Tyrian Falls. That's why I want to know if Star Thief is still in the city. They might have already left this place, or maybe they escaped the moment they heard about the second set of murders."

All of your remaining homework for this semester to be finished are handed to you in a USB drive. It seems to be rather devoid of the files you expected. Unfortunately, it only contains the answers to your remaining homework -- homework that has not been assigned yet is not "remaining homework".

"It's a secret. Okay?" Jala smiled widely. "You could whisper it to me," Kae said. "That'll make it private, right?" "He'll blab it out to the entire world by the end of today," Verre shouted from across the street. "Bad habit of his. I learned that the hard way." Kae turned and mock glared at Verre, who had been writing in her journal. "I did not!" he said. "Last time that happened, it was two days before I blabbed. It was pretty obvious that you liked him, anyways, so why does it matter if I just confirmed --" "Stop!" Verre put her hands over her ears. Her face was the blotchy pink of anger and embarrassment. "I'm not listening, la la la, I can't hear you!" "But Jala can," Kae cheerfully called out across the street. "And her ears are open." "HE'S INSANE," Verre yelled. She still seemed to be listening, despite what she'd said earlier. "DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT HE'S SAYING. IT'S NOT TRUE." "Sister," Kae said, "Your lack of faith saddens me. You really think I would spill your innermost secrets to Jala?" "YES," Verre said. Secret item: coffee. Passive: a player who possesses the item coffee will be unable to sleep, but will still be able to vote. Active: a player who possesses the item coffee may consume the coffee to gain three extra action periods that night. Requires one action period to use. Consuming coffee will permanently destroy the item.

Kae Kae looked down at the mess of notes that he'd copied down onto a few sheets of paper torn out of Verre's journal. There, in handwriting that resembled the marks a dying koloss might make more than any form of written language, was everything that Kae remembered about the legend of Tyrian Falls. 1. Begins with an army Koloss marching towards Tyrian Falls 2. Inquisitors hidden among the townspeople start murdering people 3. The villagers lynch people in the hope of killing an Inquisitor 4. The Inquisitors kill all of the villagers. There were no more Koloss armies anymore, so 1 couldn't happen. 2 was happening right this moment. The village was on its way to 3, and mathematicians generally agreed that while it was brutal, it was the best way to find the Inquisitors. And 4 was just depressing. Even though Kae might not want to admit it, random calls for death, like when Siaron had tried to lynch Verre, might be the only way out of this. "Jala Ghetti, what are you so desperate to do?" Kae asked. "I don't want you to die, but I'm interested in what you're so desperate to ask."

Verre is touchy that she's been accused. Kae is touchy that his sister has been accused. I'm just staying in character.

Verre And another person's dead. Lovely place Kae and I live in, huh? I think I've decided what to do with Siaron. See, Kae took a few law classes before graduating at Elendel. So, the next time Siaron accuses me of being a murderer, Kae is going to demand for a reason, and when Siaron can't come up with one, I'm going to charge him with being a murderer and spreading libelous lies and get him sent off to the nearest soother parlor. Okay, Kae says that that's not how lawyers work, but it's still fun to imagine. Verre is very unhappy that someone called her a murderer. So, Aman, where's your proof?

You meet Sanderson at an airport, where both of you are already in horrible moods. Or, more specifically, you crash into him, head on, weighed down with tons on luggage. Since you are late for your flight, you have no choice but to ignore how his papers went flying everywhere and he spilled his drink all over himself, and you leave muttering obscenities that he thinks is directed at him. It turns out that you just ruined the final draft of something he was going to publish (let's say Stormlight 3), and it is the only copy of the final version. This delays the publication of Stormlight 3 by another year and also pushes back the publication of everything else by one year. Luckily, one good thing comes out of this: he is inspired to create a clumsy character who often smashes into people and runs away before they can do anything. The character's name is, coincidentally, identical to your own.
