  1. Okay, that retraction feels kind of weird. It feels like Roadwalker just doesn't care, which only adds to BR's point that it's an easy vote. @BrightnessRadiant, I don't think being an active player should be enough to save someone from the lynch. Active players can be elims too. @A Budgie, Asterion seems more NAI than anything, since there's a ton of players focusing on RP over posts. For some reason, his vote and retraction on Cloud gives me a village gut lean. Maybe it's because of the progression? Cloud doesn't post, Asterion slaps a vote on, Asterion explains that this type of thing is normal for him D1, then Ast retracts the vote. Okay, nevermind. Forget what I said about the village gut lean. (I'm leaving it up there to inflate my wordcount, because I have no idea if this post can hit it or not.) Ast doesn't look like he wants his vote to have any teeth at all. This seems like the same thing Roadwalker is doing in that sense, but with slightly more thought in it, in the sense that it shows that he's paying attention but doesn't really say much else. Sadly the tennis practice info doesn't seem like an elim slip-up, since Ast and Cloud are siblings. Asterion. Note: chances are, I'm going to be more wordy/less concise this game to try to hit the 200 word mark, especially since when on a phone or tablet I can't access a wordcounter and I don't want to have to go back and edit words in to make it pass the 200 word mark.
  2. Fifteen minutes before 2, Riri set out for Fountain Square. Although the night was dark and cold, she was warm under the large, dark robe that she always wore when sneaking out. It was one of Aurette's camoflauge robes, which had saved her multiple times from being discovered by Galen. She passed by a lit window and glanced inside. People were still up at this hour? Hopefully there wouldn't be anybody else in the square, since that could be awkward. A man glared back at her from inside the window. Their eyes met. For a moment, Riri froze, taking in his sweaty face, his brawny body, and the knife he held menacingly in one hand. He moved closer, brandishing the knife. Riri turned and ran. Her feet flew over the cobblestones, and for the umpteenth time, she was grateful how House Aurette's dresses were designed to allow full range of movement. She passed dark alley after dark alley after dark alley, heedless of where she ran. No no no no no, I don't want to die today, she thought. She threw a desperate glance over her shoulder, but the man didn't appear to be following. Riri pushed on, panting, still terrified. After what felt like miles of running, she stumbled into Fountain Square, and into Variel. She threw herself into his embrace, collapsing into his arms. "Vars, thank the Lord Ruler you're here. I saw this really sketch man in an alleyway, and he had a knife, and -- and --" Riri stopped to regain her breath. @StrikerEZ @roadwalker I'm not going to really go into the House focus vs skaa focus. I know that games have happened where the players, to the GM's surprise, focused on factions over elims in a game that was more focused on the elims and other games have happened here the players focused on elims over factions in a game more focused on factions. At the moment, I think the best strategy is for everybody to be active, since that earns Favor and also can help generate info to catch the skaa. Bugsy's second vote on Drake doesn't seem to be too suspicious, because it's NAI. A villager could have wanted to increase pressure for the info, as Bugsy said, or an elim could have wanted to push an easy lynch. Bandwagoning doesn't seem too bad this game. If it's the last hour and the votes aren't close at all, everybody who's on might as well pile onto whoever's going to be lynched so they could potentially get some extra favor. What Roadwalker said about an atium misting or a mistborn seems kind of weird to assume, but I don't think it's elimy. How does seeing into the future help one tell who's an elim or not? @randuir, do you mind explaining what Roadwalker did in previous games similar to this? Lopen's advice feels kind of half-hearted. Is "send your orders in early" really the best he can come up with? Really?
  3. A hooded figure strode through the dark streets, deftly weaving its way through the streets. Although the wind howled and kicked up tufts of ash, it could not pull the stranger's hood back, nor open its robes to show the minuscule package tucked under its arm inside the dark garment. It blended perfectly with the night, one with the black ash that rained down from the skies like tears from a mourning god. Step, step, step. Its footsteps echoed loudly against the cobblestones. Step, step. The figure came to a pause in front of a streetsign. The hood twisted slightly, the only evidence that the figure had acknowledged its surroundings. Step, step. Step. This was the place. A window, lit from behind, shut against the world. A translucent curtain obscured what lay behind it. In front of it sat a windowbox, out of which grew spindly brown stalks. The figure gently set the package in the dirt. It knocked on the window, quietly but firmly. Then it turned and left. By the time the nobleman Variel opened his window, all he could see was a piece of paper with neat, cursive handwriting. He picked it up. @StrikerEZ @Doc12
  4. ...why do these two lines, when put together, give me a bad feeling?
  5. What is this and how does it work?
  6. @DroughtBringer and @Aonar Faileas, you didn't answer my question the first time, so I'll ask again. Can non-allomancers send in actions too, as long as they can be justified?
  7. I'll sign up as Rhiannon Aurette, who has a talent for leadership if she can look beyond her world of cliques and gossip. She's also Variel's girlfriend...for now. This game, I'll make sure to RP at least once a turn at minimum. No promises about other game activity. It probably won't be more than in LG39.
  8. Can non-allomancers send in actions like "I want to loudly trashtalk Locke and enrage him to the point where any offensive action he sends in will automatically be redirected to me?"
  9. Wyrm, can we get the link to the spec doc and dead doc too?
  10. And that is game! A victory for downtrodden skaa everywhere, or at least a first step, if Nickel and Hadrian keep to Armina's goals.
  11. Just wandering in to say that the title of this Day is awesome. So is the writeup.
  12. Wyrm, thank you for collaborating with me on RP. It was a joy working with you and reading your writeups. If anyone here has guesses about what Waern's secret is, please PM it to myself or Wyrm. The hints should be there between my RP and his writeups. The first to guess things write will get a thumbs up from the dead doc. (EDIT: elim teammates are disqualified from this competition because you already know.) @Orlok Tsubodai, please please please RP with this. Waern deserves to suffer.
  13. Good point. Very good point. Hmm, so it does. We'll see what I truly am tomorrow. Aww, no explanation? It's good to know you've alive, but no other thoughts? Ooh, let's make a poll! People who think I am a Thug: (3) Striker, Seonid, DA People who think I am a Seer: (2) Orlok, Wilson So... Orlok and Wilson are probably not elims, but they're suspicious? Which is it? I approve of this suspicion of Locke. Locke is terrible. He represents all that is wrong with the Nobility. Let's lynch (Or)locke!
  14. Armina whirled around and struck Locke with the flat of her forearm. He grunted in pain, allowing Armina to wrench her arm free. Then she shoved him backwards. "I don't do this out of principle," Armina said icily. "I do this because I recognize reality. The Final Empire is a failure. Things are changing. You can't keep the Skaa down forever." Armina backed up warily, watching Locke watch her. Then she turned and ran. She'd get him, all right. Some poison in his food ought to wipe that smirk off the smug bastard's face forever. @Orlok Tsubodai
  15. Armina's good mood vanished. For a moment, she was back in the halls of House Heron, scrubbing the floors as a condescending Lord taunted her about her family name. She bit back the first snarl of rage and glared daggers at Locke until she could speak coherently. "Never," Armina hissed. "Unlike you, I fight for more than a place at the top of the heap. This was never about the Atium. This is about e--" She stopped before she could betray herself. Her fingers twitched towards the blade concealed in her robes. After a moment of hesitation, she flexed her fingers and forced her hand back to her side. This wasn't the time or the place. "Watch your place, Locke. Say what you want, but at the end of the day it'll be your body lying limp in a ditch, not mine." Armina turned her back and left, more shaken than she wanted to admit.
  16. From a corner, Armina watched Waern order Locke to do janitor work, unable to suppress a grin. Locke quarreled a bit, before finally grabbing a broom and dustpan. Then he awkwardly knelt down and touched the bristles of the broom to the ground. Watching that insufferable git attempt to do servant's work was so satisfying. And to think that Armina had forced the Prelan to make Locke do this... "I hope you clean all of that up before Waern comes back," she said. "Here, let me help you." She strode towards a trash bin and swiftly kicked it over, dumping its contents over the floor. Then she picked up the bin and shook the remaining things inside onto the floor. Armina giggled at the expression on Locke's face. "You'd best get working," she said with a smug smile. @Orlok Tsubodai, you know what you owe me if you don't get some response RP up for this. Anyone want to be an upstander and help poor, dimished Locke?
  17. Just a friendly reminder that this Turn doesn't end for another thirty minutes. Get your thoughts in now before you die!
  18. Wilson, there are times when you are my snark goal. This is one of them.
  19. This activity is great. If I'd known that being lynched would have led to this explosion of discussion, I should have gotten myself lynched earlier.
  20. Because PK is an elim too, as you say yourself. It was a glorious opportunity for the village, but was needlessly squandered.
  21. Yup yup, that's always a good idea. Ooh, I think you're the first person to consider the possibility that I still have more Atium left. Anyone wanna bet on how many lynches it'll take for me to die?
