  1. It seems likely that the language at the Bands temple was some sort of southern language. Sazed would be able to recognize that, right? I'm assuming he lied, but why?
  2. I just assumed Sazed didn't want to change the southerners, since they were the only unaltered Scadrialians. He instead sent the One-Eye Spike Man to help them out. Maybe it took a while to plan what to do, then actually get all the way down there.
  3. There's some WoBs on the metal regenerating in some way. Also the MAG has feruchemy as not needing anything before use: any feruchemist could technically use it at birth.
  4. Also remember Kelsier doesn't know everything. He says the mistwraiths aren't sentient at THAT stage of their life, implying he thinks they eventually grow into Kandra on their own.

    Marsh's Name

Marsh is named after the swamp he inhabits. Marsh is Shrek.
  6. The title is pretty self-explanatory. Which of the original three books is your favorite? It varies for me, but I'd have to say Well of Ascenion. It feels like every moment of that book is deconstructing something, and that's great.
  7. Well I mean my response was just a guess. It could be a combination of that and what Voidus said. Generally Wax is too far to be noticed, but can be a distraction if he is.
  8. The inquisitors were under ruins control though. Edward said the set couldn't give someone more than 3 powers without Harmony taking control of them. I was thinking that's why it's only three powers.
  9. Flaring the metal is part of the distraction. Wax flares it, alerting the seekers, then moves away before they get there. The seekers search for a coinshot flying into the compound and around it, not a guy slinking around in the shadows.
  10. Maybe Gemmel made the metal. We know he took that book from the 11th metal researcher. He was being influenced by Ruin, so he could have been able to make it.
  11. Is it just me, or does no one else understand how nicrosilminds work? I'm pretty sure it stores the ability to use any ability the storer has. Is that right? That would be why you can't make nicrosilminds with more than 3 powers- people can't have more than 3 spikes, so you would need to put 3 spikes in a natural nicrosil ferring. Thus the bands can store all powers, since the storer had all the powers. But then how can you have a 3 power medallion, since you'd need to store identity to let anyone use it? I'm constantly confused.
  12. Petition to unofficially call this era "the mistpunk era"
  13. Maybe it's all of them. Atium, Lerasium, ettmetal, harmonium, whatever Trell's up to...There's so many possibilities that all the metals are involved in the book in some way. Thus each is the titular lost metal.
  14. That's the implication of what happened, yes. Elend saw 30 to 60 minutes into the future when he duralumin-flared atium, which let him see what would happen if he died. This does raise interesting points about fate, however. The shards can't see what will happen, only possibilities. Perhaps atium shows what will happen if everyone continues the way they are? We know Vin was able to change how things would be by making a new movement at the last second during her fight with Zane.
  15. I think people can draw on the mist without drawing on the well first. The Well is just needed if the person is going to ascend. This is supported by waxilium possibly drawing on the most in alloy of law.
  16. I went to to the coppermind, and the only mention of the blessing of potency on MeLaan's page was her offering to retrieve OreSeur's blessing for TenSoon. Not that the blessing was hers.
  17. Is it ever said what MeLaan's blessing is?
  18. So how does MeLaan store her weight while in the airship? We know everyone has to store it for the thing to fly- Marasi stopped storing for a second and it started to sink. But Kandra can't use feruchemy. That's the whole point of them being kandra.
  19. I can't explain how everyone was suddenly able to use the nicrosilminds any other way. Perhaps metalborn ability is like a tunnel leading from a person to Harmony. The more powers you have, the wider the tunnel. Nicrosilminds temporarily widen this tunnel. However, using it once permanently widens the tunel.
  20. Zinc feruchemy has been used, but very briefly.
  21. Why would you do this. It's so much work. I'm amazed. I just joined the 17th shard. I didn't make this before joining. Wow. Also my theory is that TLR threw the fight, consciously or not.
  22. Yes. Definitely. They may be the best part of the series.
  23. Did anyone else think the estimations for the number of metalborn were ridiculously low? One in a thousand people is a misting? And even less are ferrings? For one thing, I feel like ferrings should be the more common of the two, since a fifth of the people who survived the Catacendre were Terris. Mistings at the one in a thousand rate seems like it should be during the final empire, when only half the metals were known, snapping was harder, and nobles and skaa couldn't intermarry. We even saw that more than one in a thousand were mistings when preservation snapped skaa at the end of HoA, and skaa weren't even supposed to have allomancy then!
  24. Sorry if it's obvious, but I couldn't figure this out. Nicrosil minds store Investiture, which lets one use Metallic Arts. How? Does the storer lose their ability to use the power? And since there's only ferrings now, episode t they hair store the ability to use nicrosilminds? I'm quite confused, and it doesn't help that the MAG has the stored investiture as a generic power source, not a way to use power. EDIT: Shoot I didn't know about the need to title it bands of morning spoilers!
