  1. Tril, a smallish fellow with large amounts of wanderlust has been eating at the restaurant for a few days now, as it had food delicious enough to prevent him from moving on.
  2. This book was glorious. I loved it immensely! However, the first thing that popped into my head was when is this? Basically, how long has Vasher been alive? Hoid was shown a lot more here and I appreciated that quite a bit.
  3. I loved it, I finished it yesterday and promptly fell asleep. I loved the ending, and the entire book kept me wanting to continue reading it. I loved Mat's plan to root out the spy, and the fact that he has been dead for a while and him killing Shaiaslm(?) The Flame Of Tar Valon. However, my favorite parts were Logain's viewpoints in the end, and how he struggled with what to do, and him earning the name Sealbreaker.
  4. I am happy to say I am fully caught up, and will post a couple of questions from the last couple of books here. Do we know if Setalle was stilled or burned out? Did Demandred manipulate Masema? In the viewpoint from him before he died, he said that the Dragon Reborn appeared before him glowing with light, so was all masterminded by Demandred? Does anyone know if there is an artwork of Perrin charging the Shaido? That was an awesome scene and I wanted to see if it has been drawn. That is it, loved these books more than I remembered, and I can't wait for A Memory of Light to be released. I am so excited.
  5. Last year when this happened I was hopelessly confused because I was new here. Hard to believe it has been over a year. Happy Ookla the Mokovial, everyone!
  6. There is a quote, I will try to find it later, that Brandon said he based a book off one of the religions in Mistborn, I think this is the one. Edit: I found the quote. From the annotations: From the Interview Database:
  7. It sounds quite similar to the Bronze Canticles trilogy, but that was printed in 2004 so it is out. The book that you are describing sounds interesting, and f you remember the name I would like to know. And because I am already here and mentioned it, I though the Bronze Canticles was an amazing series. It has to be one of the best series I have ever read, up there with many of the other series already mentioned.
  8. I would like to announce that it is a good thing Brandon doesn't release books that often or my grades would majorly drop. I didn't hear/do anything the class after I got a hold of TES. It is an amazing book for everyone who hasn't read it! Read it, and rejoice!
  9. I like the idea, and this will help with people who do what I did when TES and tAoL came out, which was just not visit the Elantris and Mistborn boards until I got the book for fear of spoilers. This could be very useful. And I do agree, 6 full months might be a little long for TES
  10. Loved it! My friend handed it today in class and I didn't get any work done until I finished it. I really enjoyed the magic system, and it was interesting to have a smaller Sanderson book to read. I now have a bunch of ideas in my head, but I need to reread Elantris to figure out some of them.
  11. I have joined the Dragonwasp Legion. I will get the thesis eventually, I promise!* *Eventually is defined as: Anytime after today.
  12. So, I would like to know, where the Crabwasp vs. Dragonwasp started. It is quite interesting, and I think I missed it.
  13. Lots of good choices, but I feel like Feruchemy is one of the best. So many useful applications! Need to sleep? Store Wakefulness. Need sudden athletic abilities? Draw upon the variety of physical metals. And there are so many other applications. However, I do acknowledge that each power is good, and Feruchemy probably isn't the most powerful/useful.
  14. Similar to me, Yamato. I read very fast, I haven't timed myself, but I think you are faster than me. It is really useful at school and other required readings, as I can get all the info very fast. But if I'm not interested my reading speed can drop to about 1 page per 5 minutes.
  15. ...Challenge accepted. Where shall I post this when I finish the thesis and what background knowledge do I get as an applicant?
  16. I would appreciate that as well because for most of tomorrow I am at school or at a cross-country meet.
  17. I volunteer to be Odium's champion. You know, so he can be killed and all?
  18. Then do you have that taken care off? Because I can send an invite later.
  19. I would, just send me your email.
  20. Me too! I'll gladly accept spikes for an invite!
  21. I just finished/got bored with the games that I own and was wondering what video games people would recomend. I like puzzle games like Portal and Portal 2, I like more mystical/sci-fi oriented themes and I like a storyline. I was looking at Skyrim and the Mass Effect trilogy, but I want to hear what other people would recomend, so recomend away!
  22. Well, I finished them all the books I hadn't read up to here, and I am taking a break so I finish about when AMoL comes out. Great books.
  23. Good start, in my opinion. It grabbed my attention immediately, and kept it. Though it doesn't really explain the forty seconds part, I like it!
