Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Kynedath replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, sorry about that, I can't find much to comment on that hasn't already been said by someone else. I'm not great with the early game in general I think. Fifth was a really good player, although some people seemed to trust them and some people didn't. My guess is that during the night people saw that others saw them as potentially being the second most suspected and aimed to take away our leads. I think this indicates an older more experienced player since new players feel that the most active and astute players are the biggest threats to them. The fact That they were a transporter is a bit saddening, I would have loved to see that role be used throughout this game. I also think that it means that they weren't the one targeted which invalidates all my earlier analysis of them. In regards to the god king scenario, I agree with the analysis put out by others, mainly Joe. The God King I'm sorry that you're so frustrated by all of this, it's an impossible situation you've found yourself in. Please understand that it isn't personal, at least not for me. Folks, I think Elandera is correct in saying that we need to have leads after this cycle is over, so variety of talking points is encouraged. If there are any other suspicions going through your head please speak up. Unfortunately as I say that I have no solid suspicions of my own. What a hypocrite I am. I'll be back later on to look over the first cycle again and look for more suspicious behavior.- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
Kynedath replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Fifth Scholar As I observe I'll be looking for interactions that seem off, for anyone trying to keep a low profile while still being useful to the village, as well as other eliminator behaviors. I am fully aware of the need for a Day 1 lynch, however I know that I feel awful when I get lynched/killed on day 1 so I choose to stay out of it on principle. By all means, have a lynch, get the information you need from it! I fully support you doing that! I just choose to abstain.- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!

Gotta say folks, not a huge fan of the codes personally. All it really does is add to the noise we have to sift through to get to important information. I'm assuming that it's pretty quiet on here because everyone is scheming in their PMs and figuring out how best to use their abilities. I don't really have that much to say. I'm not one to vote day 1, so I'll mostly be observing this cycle, and I'll have more context for what happens next cycle after the lynch results and such. For now just checking in, letting people know I exist.- 421 replies

That was a VERY close game, I was sure that I was toast in the last cycle. I'm quite interested in why Zillah chose to vote on Experience. Honestly Experience, you played a very good game at the end there, you had me practically dead to rights.

Your analysis is honestly really well put together. If it were against anyone else but myself I would join on that lunch in a heartbeat. As it is though I think you set me up. It would be a bold move, but you've been bold this whole game, especially during the beginning. Zillah, this is up to you. I'll be voting on experience, so you'll be the deciding vote. I hope that my actions up until this point have convinced you that I'm not one of the elims.

Oh yeah, absolutely I'm trying to shift the lynch onto you! No hard feelings, I don't want to die. But I also believe what I said. I honestly think that you're the last elim. If I wanted to shift blame onto someone just to save my own skin it would have been Elandera since they themselves stated they had holes in their defense. I would have played off of the fact that Stink didn't mention them along with myself to try to get the lynch 50/50 and try to ride out the lynch. As it is I'm trying to give the village my actual suspicions so that if I do die they have more context to go off of. And if I survive in the process then all the better for me. And joining Elandera in lynching me could very well be you trying to get out of being lynched yourself. NAI by itself, but still noteworthy. It would be easy for you to ride this cycle out while they kill me and then take your chance next cycle.

That, or perhaps you targeted Ironfire and intended to accuse me of it and use this very argument. You're a smart player and I would expect you to go into this cycle with a plan if you were an elim. With the suspicion that you've kept throughout most of the game it would be the best play to get that suspicion onto someone else as fast as possible. And yet despite that I am going to vote on experience. Elandera has been drawing a lot of attention and saying things in a way that almost implies that they have lots of sketchy stuff going on and that they'd be one of - if not the top suspect. I just don't feel elim in that. Experience however has been active nearly the whole game except for this cycle. And last cycle they were flip flopping between a few diferent votes as if they were getting nervous and trying to not get on anyones bad sides.

Heck! I must have miscounted. I thought there were five of us left. @Elandera True, I do tend to get more active during the end stages of a game. I'm fairly certain that's because there is just less content to wade through so I can make much more sense of what there is. I think that I tend to come more alive during the end of a game. What is your reasoning behind your last statement? I understand what it is saying, but I don't see your logic. Also, Why not mention Experience? They don't come up once in your post.

Alright, five players left, either one or two elims left since one froze to death last night. Two death tonight means that if there are two elims they win, and if there is one elim we stay alive another cycle. That would then be a lylo scenario. Either way, it looks like this game is going to be over in two cycles max. Also, @Elkanah I voted on Straw last cycle, not Elandera if I remember correctly. I'll be going through the thread tomorrow to look over my suspicions and form concrete opinions. Godspeed everyone.

I mean, they have lots of suspicion on them right now, I could see how it would be a village move. Nobody wants to die. I also don't mind the support on the straw lynch.

I'm not entirely convinced that Elandera is an elim. I think that what both Zillah and Experience have said makes them suspicious to me, but I don't think that it is enough to lynch them. I myself was opposed to DeTess' stance on whether elims know each other, so I don't know if I can fairly use that as evidence against Elandera. The vote as well, it could either be TGK trying to throw off suspicion from them by distancing themselves, but it seems to have had the opposite effect. The other possibility is that they wanted to bring Elandera into the spotlight so that the other elims aren't the focus of discussion. I think that I'm going to vote on Straw right now. They voted for TGK fairly early and their posts in the thread didn't really indicate too much of anything. They were short and factual which is what I'd expect from someone who wants to distance themselves from a teammate about to be lynched. Vote for them early so you're not jumping on a bandwagon, lay low so people dont associate you with the lynch.

Alright, going through the options, TGK is either evil or not. If they are, fantastic! We would also have a cleared villager essentially since DeTess would have no incentive to turn in their teammate when they didn't have to. If they are good then this is either a Gambit by the anonymous priest or a Gambit by DeTess. That narrows things down a ton, so I'm all for lynching TGK. That's where my vote will be going this cycle.

I disagree with lynching an inactive. Like Zillah said, knowing their faction doesn't give us much to work off of in the later cycles. lynching inactives doesn't give us the info we need to find honest to goodness eliminators. There are lots of little benefits to lynching an inactive such as raising activity levels in the late game, getting rid of inactives for the elims to kill (since they seem to like doing that because it doesn't give the village a ton to go off of), but I feel like every lynch (bar maybe the D1 lynches) should be based on suspicions and an effort to find an eliminator. Even one cycle that we spend lynching an inactive results in one villager death based on pretty much no real evidence and one villager death from the elim kill. I'd much rather have an elim kill and someone who was suspicious be killed. I'm keeping my vote on Rathmaskal, they are my prime suspicion and I don't agree with lynching someone because they are inactive.

Hmmm . . . Rathmaskal? I don't know, you've been quiet and skirting around the more touchy subjects I guess. DeTess is still on my suspicion list for previously mentioned reasons, although their posts and the amount of discussion they are generating right now is useful, whether they're an elim or not. I don't have too much else to go off of, but @Sart was giving bad gut vibes, although if I have more solid evidence I'm going to act on that first. I'd like to hear more from them.

I think it would be better to assume that the elims do know who each other are. It would be better to be able to use all of our information I feel. And like Elandera said, there will always be ways to falsely clear an elim, especially with Bussing and a WGG (admittedly WGG isn't possible in this game, but in others it is a possibility). It would be more beneficial to be firing on all cylinders and clear someone than to cripple ourselves early on by not analyzing some of the most telling interactions. We would have more information which would then result in more telling interactions from there. Even if we falsely clear someone, that isn't the end of being suspicious of them. If there is anything I know then it is that SE players will always be suspicious of you, no matter what. My biggest suspicion right now is DeTess, they could be trying to get the village to disregard some of their info. Other than that I'm not really seeing all too much to say about anyone. I don't have any big trusts or anything, and no new big revelations.

I think public votes are useful, it gives us more info to work with. The more public votes we have the more we can analyse it and the more we can compare them to what actually got sent in. I haven't played any of the other games that ran this ruleset (at least I don't remember doing so) so I think I'm going to believe Devotary about how the elims communicate. I really don't have too much to say here, I'm hoping more comes up once more people have responded to the thread.
