Nevermind....Sometime I forget about the time zone, I didn't think it was working time to you

Double post sorry. List of cool questions: Q:Does the Divine Breath's Healing works with someone without a Breath (like a Drab or someone not from Nhaltis) ? (mine) A: Yes, this would work Q: Could a Brass twin born compound to effectively be a human flamethrower? Also can a compounder store faster? A: RAFO! Q:For Terris names, is it safe to assume the first vowel is always long? (By Argent I think) A: This is frequently the case, but it's not 100% Q:Did you have the ending planned out for the Reckoners series when you started writing? A: I had the ending of the first book well in mind. Once I finished it, I sat down and plotted the next two books A: This is very common for me in a series. Writing the first book, making sure I have the characters and ideas down first. A: Then I build a series around the ideas and themes that worked in the first book. Q: If your could have any of the Epics' powers, who would it be? A: Hm... I mean, Steelheart is invulnerable, can fly, and can shoot lasers out of his fists. It is hard to go wrong there. Q: Atium is the best metal to use for hemalurgy. Does *burning* atium help you figure out where to put the spikes? A: Anything that gets you a glimpse of the Spiritual Realm could help with placing spikes. Q: Would flaring iron and steel also help? A: No, not without additional help. Q: Before Ruin and Preservation showed up on Scadrial, was aluminum already antimagical? Also, is AoL between stormlight 5&6? A: Yes, AoL is after Stormlight 5. Specific timing will depend on how long I make the 5/6 gap once I get there. Q: Are there any other time periods you would like to explore with the Mistborn series? A: I'll be doing a 1980's level tech, and a future tech, in upcoming series. So you could say that there are. Q: If Kaladin were to write a self-help book, what would the title be? Huge fan! Can't wait for Stormlight 3 A: Being a man, Kaladin would avoid writing anything, as it wouldn't be proper. Q: "How, if at all, did the Wax and Wayne books alter your Cosmere plans? Thanks, big fan!" A: They made me accelerate some cosmere and Scadrial events forward to that era. It ended up working very well, so I'm quite glad that I did so. Q: Are there any Epics who cannot die by old age? A: No, not so far Q: Why can non-Scadrians use Hemalurgy? Don't they need Ruin's sDNA, like Allomancers need Preservation? (Moogle) A: Hemalurgy is built to be able to be used by anyone. It's about taking and breaking. Ruin doesn't care who does such things Q: Will all 10 Stormlight books be relatively close time wise, or separate centuries like Mistborn? A: They will be relatively close, time wise. Across twenty years or so, rather than hundreds. Q: You talk about how changing types and lengths of books helps you. Plans for other non cosmere stuff like Reckoners? A: I will have another Reckoners-like series that we will announce very soon. Q: did the Ire form before the events of Elantris or do they form after the city is healed? A: This is an excellent question! (And one I'm not going to answer yet, I'm afraid.) Q: Do u have plans for a lurcher character? Orbiting a bullet/coin around them and back at shooter would be awesome A: Some day, I'm sure I'll do a Lurcher character. Q: Were there any people present at the Shattering of Adonalsium other than Hoid and the 16? A: RAFO. Q: Do you plan are having anymore full Mistborn in your books? A: You'll have to read and find out! I hope this may be helpful

"To create an Hemalurgic Spike, Must some agent (Hemalurgist, Spike or Victim) provide Ruin's Investiture ?" is more clear to you ? Anyway I Got an answer to the other question: Q: Does the Divine Breath's Healing works with someone without a Breath (like a Drab or someone not from Nhaltis) ? A: Yes, this would work
-
Well Moogle, may you help me to rephrase my question about Hemalurgy ? I am pretty sure it is quite unclear (Argent made that clear) EDIT: The Chat is begun EDIT2: "To create an Hemalurgic Spike, Must some agent (Hemalurgist, Spike or Victim) provide Ruin's Investiture ?" is more clear ?
-
Sure, my though was: For every Magic System you need 3 things (without using hack): A focus, an Intent and Shard's Investiture (physical, cognitive and Spiritual). For Hemalurgy therefore you will need: Metal, Intent to make a Spike and Ruin's Investiture. But, where Does the Ruin's Investiture come from ? (I really doubt Ruin give a stream of Investiture every time someone creates a Spike like Preservation does with Allomancy). I suppose in the chain: Hemalurgist->Spike->Victim someone must provide the needed Ruin's Investiture. (but I really doubt about Hemalurgist) Of course if you use Hemalurgy on Scadrial's people everyone has Ruin's Investiture in their soul therefore no problem. But to use Hemalurgy on someone not from Scadrial (for example to Steal Strenght from a Roshar-Guy) you have to provide Ruin's Investiture to create a Spike. I think using Atium (pure or alloy of it) Spike you may provide the needed Investiture and you can't use "normal metals". I talk maybe too long but this is my explaination.
-
Thanks Argent I want to ask this two questions: 1) To create an Hemalurgic Spike, Must something between Hemalurgist, the Spike and Victim has some Ruin's Investiture ? (but to be honest I doubt about the Hemalurgist) 2)Does the Divine Breath's Healing works with someone without a Breath (like a Drab or someone not from Nhaltis) ? (If the Questions are unclear, may you help me to re-write them more clearly ?)

Silver is just a Metal that isn't a gateway to Metalic Arts, like it would be the Platinum. But it has no strange effect with Allomancy (or other Metallic Arts) at all. It can be Pushed and Pulled without any trouble. If the Silver is immune to Push/Pull, It will worth a Fortune and used aganist Misting/Mistborn... Instead it is viewed like "useless".

Really I don't know it, maybe they find quite simple to obtain some sort of Breath trhrough menace or charme. With little amount of Breath they may began to test their ability and with the Fifth Heightening they will find quite easy to perform basic awakening (just see what Vasher does in the prologue).

Yeah the God metals don't take place in the Allomantic Table. The "Standard Allomancy" works burning the 16 mondane Metals, an Allomancer drains power from Preservation itself and the metal works like gateway/limitator for the power and filter it in an Allomantic Effect (steelpush, ecc...) But if you may burn a metal that is a souce of power of its own (a Gods Metal) you actually Hack the Allomancy, while you burn a God Metal you get nothing from Preservation, instead you use the metal itself as source of power (because it's actually pure Shard's power). Every God Metal may be used as pure metal or as alloy. Every God metal may creates 16 Alloys with any other Mundane Metal. For example the Malatium is actually an Alloy of Atium and Gold. Anyway I don't know if it possible to speak about Shadow of Self outside of the Spoiler tag now. To avoid problem I suggest you to put the last part into Spoiler Tag

I am not sure if it is the you who talk about. But in the Warbreaker Annotations Mister Sanderson talks of some other country on Nalthis with peculiar relationship with Returned: - One where rich people buys corpses of people who died heroic, hoping to obtain a Returned and feed them to use in the future for a "free miracle". - In another place the Returned wore black and try to trick men to obtain Breahs and sustain themself, they are powerfull Awakeners there (nothing strange with their Divine Breath).

The Wyrn has a Seon, we know that. But we can't be sure if He is the Seon's Master (it is probably) or some of his servants is the Seon's Master. Therefore I think that (probably) Wyrn has a Seon's Bond

Right Vodius, I forgot the change to the Snapping method, thanks ;-)

this actually explains how the lord ruler died (bands spoilers)
Yata replied to king of nowhere's topic in Mistborn
Probably also if Rashek didn't die in the moment He lost the Atiuminds, He will be probably too old and shocked to does anything more. -
The Shards didn't creates the Manifestations of Investiture (what you called "powers"). They simply arose throught the interaction between Shards' investiture and Shardworld. Preservation didn't create the Allomancy (like Ruin didn't create Hemalurgy). That Magic Systems borned alone through their presence on Scadrial. They can influence a bit that Magic System arose from them, but in a very limited way (as far as I can remember the only influences we saw of this kind was the "creation of Seers" and the possibility from Ruin to put himself the Intent to create a Spike).

He invested himself when he neeeded for his plans. But I hardly believe He would give part of his power to others without gaining something from that (For example R&P Invested all the lifeform on Scadrial or Enodwment with his power empowered the Nalthis's soul as Breath). It's a far lesser scale I suppose.

I remember WoBs about, at the moment I can't find them, but when I catch them I will post them here ;-)

Therefore it is a sentience being Like it would be any other Spren or Sentience Splinter.

This is one of the reason about "Spiritual Emptyness" of the Aluminum: The Forgery works editing a Spiritual Aspect of an Object and if the Aluminum hasn't Spiritual Aspect it would be immune. The SoulCasting seems to works through a "Cognitive Editing" and the Allumin may be Soulcasted. A Shardblade may cut Aluminum like any other material (this exclude the Aluminium's "high Investiture"). Also the Immunity to Steel/Iron Allomancy may be explained through this, because we know the Steel-sight works through the Spiritual Realm.

Yes probably the problem is in the different Spirit-Webs of the various Metalborn needed.

I have just finished BoM and an idea come to my mind to made "Feruchemical/Allomantic Medallion" with only Misting/Ferring without need to use Hemalurgy (The Southern probably didn't know it), twinborn (if they have so few Metalborn a Twinborn are quite impossible) or Full Metalborn (Mistborn or Feruchemist) but I am unsure if I am right, because some problem pupped up if I have right:. 1) A SoulBearer A puts his Feruchemy in a Nicrosilmind Z 2) A Trueself B erase his own Identity and he taps the Metalmind Z to obtain Soulbearer's power, at the moment he has both the power needed to create a F-Nicrosil Medallion X usable by everyone. 3) Giving the Medallion X to a random Metalborn, the Metalborn may create a Medallion with its own power usable by everyone. But with this method allows something apparently impossible to the Southerns. You may create a Medallion with every Metallic power through a sequence of Medallions. You need only to pass a Medalion Xn to some Metalborn. That Metalborn may create a Medallion Xn+1 with the previous power of Xn and it's own power. Therefore, where I am wrong ?

No, Nightblood is a being at it own, you can't take back Breath for another being... For the same reason you can't take back the breath used to Awaken a Lifeless.
-
Cadmius and BendAlloy, I suppose you didn't read the Wax & Wayne book Atium and Malatium was "fake temporal metal" Preservation switched them with the right temporal metal, to make possible the born of Atium and Malatium misting (something like artificial misting). But without manipolation, the right temporal metal was Cadmius and bendalloy.

Unless we talk about 2 different WoB. Connection to Nalthis is a requirement to Awaken and therefore only people born on Nalthis may Awakenes without Hacking. But the connection to something is a Spiritual Attribute and space and time are meaningless to it. You have the same connection to Nalthis while you are on Nalthis or while you are on (for example) Scadrial. Therefore you may use the Awakening on Scadrial, but if you give your Breath to a nice Scadrial guy (after he win them at Poker of course), this guy can't use them to Awake anything, also if he travel back to Nalthis with you. (Maybe I wrote this in a messy manner, if it is too no-sense I will try better).
