  1. Domi expects nothing but total submission. Domi wants nothing but total devotion. Domi needs nothing. Turn 2 has ended. No more orders or posts to be made. Turn 3 will be up soon.
  2. I shall note that Wyrn's Invasion was planned to happen from the beginning. Also to be noted: Dashe only determines the amount of non-converted members in a gang. Dashe only gets a number- it is a very broad alignment scanner so please don't refer to it as an ability that tells you who are the Spirits in a gang. Don't want people confused and mis-interpreting the results.
  3. Yes, that's what happened and no, I won't fix them. You guys can read back and figure it out (Alas the pains of being a lazy idea of a god) They're genuine reactions, read into them as much as you like. Biases and amusement come from somewhere. For one, I came up with this, for two, no I think we're perfect in our estimations.
  4. Total Domi-nation Sometimes Domi does not like listening to people. Sometimes Domi does not like it when people forget him. Domi will reward those who worship him. “By NIGHTS I’ll do it. I’ll effing cut you!” “Oh no you won’t you little schlitz, or you know I’ll club you in the head” The two men circled each other, brandishing their weapons and baring their teeth. Most of the group now yelled and egged either side on, their hunger forgotten for the while. Karata tutted quietly, pulling her Children aside. What has this world come to, she thought, Once people would jump into fights without any thought for the consequences...but the moment something that won’t heal is on the line, they become children afraid of their parents. She couldn’t tell which was worse, hot-headed men jumping at the slightest conflict or children unable to reach any closure. Even so, the people of Elantris were taught with suppressed emotion and ability and small bouts of entertainment distracted them from their miserable existance. They had even forgotten about Raoden and the newcomer, with him the food they all desired. She had to admit, she had a soft spot for the man, it had been nearly 4 years that she had spent in Elantris and only until his arrival had she felt interest and curiosity in something. Not only did he look familiar to her, but he had an air of mystery and delight that drew her towards him. “Galladon! The other man!” cried a voice from the back of the crowd. “He’s always around Spirit yet he wasn’t with us today!”. Karata’s eyes swept past a depressed looking woman as she focused on the voice. The speaker stepped forward and proposed that perhaps Raoden’s gambit today had been a cover-up to some other plan of his. The two encircling men, now forgotten, moved back into the crowd, silent. “Do you all think it is odd, that Raoden not only take the man’s food, but take the man himself?” Aanden slurred slowly, eyes moving from gangleader to gangleader. “The man is clearly up to something, do you all agree with me on this?”. Voices of affirmation greeted him as he walked towards Karata. “You, you know the man better than any of us. What do you suppose he would be up to?”. “Well, for starters I wouldn’t say I know him well, he eludes me just as much as he confounds you Aand” Karata responded, “However, he has established that he enjoys power and control...perhaps he seeks to establish his own gang in our little arrangement”. “I don’t like it” Shaor piped up, “I say we hunt them and crush them. We can use their bodies as tinder for our fires to keep us warm...too bad Elantrian flesh tastes horrible”. The others gave her tired looks and her men drew closer around her, “I say we make sure none of us have any intentions of joining the Spirit at any point, don’t you think so?” “I agree with the child” Aanden asserted, “newcomers are infrequent so the spirit’s best path of action would be to undermine us and build his own empire out of our hard work”. Karata wished she hadn’t spoken, it was the best idea she had in the hopes of avoiding the others suspicions. They already whispered of her interactions with the stranger and anything more would have brought danger upon her children. “Well then, I guess we need to work together don’t we!” exclaimed a female voice, “I for one am sick of our stupid little feuds. We have our strengths and I say we use them in tandem for once, who knows what could come of it”. The gangleaders looked at her in thought,as Aanden pulled her aside and whispered something in her ear. He looked up once he was finished. “No. It is too dangerous. For now at least. For all we know the spirit has already infiltrated us and has connections in all our factions. The way I see it, he would not have pulled his actions today without any plannning or preparation behind it” “So you are saying we return home with our tails between our legs and watch his plan unfold?” the speaker who had initiated the discussion questioned. “Well, we have our ambassadors and will be able to maintain communication amongst us. We will have to wait yes, but until we can strike at the spirit and his goon we must ascertain our own security and stability” Aanden replied tartly. “Are we done here then? I’m starting to get bored” Shaor whined. “So it would seem, shall we reconvene tomorrow then?” Karata questioned. “Aye, I expect our ambassadors to maintain utmost confidentiality and to not be those susceptable to the spirit’s...charms” Aanden confirmed and concluded. The gangleaders nodded to each other and soon the entrance gate was clear of all stagnant life as each gang filed out, eyes wary and tongues quiet. Kaido was annoyed, the stranger had introduced himself as Spirit and almost immediately launched into a small speech outlining some plan to awaken the Dor and unite Elantris. Idiot. The Dor had been quiet for 10 years, ever since the Reod struck and the catachasm seemed to swallow the magic along with the earth it had opened between. Kaido had politely thanked the man for saving his life, given him a piece of bread as compensation then slowly backed out of the room. The look of dissapointment on “spirit” nearly made Kaido feel guilty for having other priorities… Oh right, his priorities, he slapped his forehead. Focus Kaido, your son must be somewhere here in the city… They cursed his name and Domi’s name. Domi did not like their insolence. Jaddeth deserved better. Whilst split now, Domi and Jaddeth were once one. But Dereth and Korath were gone. All that remained was Odium and shards of a once prosperous world. They would pay...while Jaddeth and Domi have no power now...Domi and Jaddeth have ideologies, and ideas are dangerous. \\Lol no secrets revealed// Wyrn cracked his knuckles and signed the final sheet of paperwork with a swift press of his brazen stamp. Done. The plans had been finalised and mobilisation would begin. Wyrn smiled quietly, wondering whether Hrathen was anywhere near converting the heretics who dared profane Jaddeth. No matter. They would serve under Shu-Dereth and be purified either way, soon the Fjordell Empire would be reborn and the Wyrns would be spoken of in hushed tones in every household. Soon it would be Fjordell’s time in the sun once more. \\Event Initiated- Invasion// Vote Count: Nobody died or was lynched Player List This Cycle ends in Remember, if you are not an Independent, you cannot start PMs. Random reactions 10 cycles remain until the Invasion begins.
  5. Domi bid Elantris adieu, even if Elantris had been silent for a decade. Domi remembered. Domi never forgets. ----- The Turn Has Ended. No more shall be said from here on forth. Seriously. (This looks like a guy spread-eagle on the floor)
  6. Under the Domë Domi answers those who submit to him, Domi knows all and sees all, Domi doesn’t answer truthfully nor quickly, you will not question for he Domi-nates all. Nearly 2 years had passed since he had made his prayers. It was strange not to be praying amongst his Korathi brothers. But they had renounced him, marked him cursed and excommunicated him. It amused Kaido how the very religion through which his prayers had come was the same that turned their back on him the moment he found himself at one with it. It did not matter, what was happening was between him an Domi. He rested his hands on the gate and took a deep breath. He was going to see his son. The guards poked him in the back and motioned for him to step aside. Kaido winced at the slight tap as he moved away. It would take a while for him to get used to it. Just as he had prayed for strength to cope better with his old life, he trusted Domi to give him the strength to cope with the pains of his new one. Only nothing would heal this time. The gate creaked and opened impossibly slowly. Like really slowly, Kaido and the guards stood awkwardly for a while, avoiding eye contact. “Get in” one guard muttered gruffly, Kaido could almost taste the sympathy oozing from his tongue. Kaido nodded to him and stepped through the gate, clutching his complementary basket to his chest, it was almost like he was staying at a hotel for a while. That’s one way to think about it he thought idly, admiring the stone floors. Then he looked up and noticed he was surrounded. 4 streets led away from the entrance, 3 of which were filled with people, Elantrians. The band to the right advanced slowly towards him, armed with clubs and other crude weapons. “Now what do you think you lot are doing?” crooned a man from the left, his people moving in position against the others. Soon they were joined by a woman and a group of young ones. The armed warriors growled and stepped back, parting to allow an adolescent girl come forward. “Careful, choose your path wisely fresh meat, you don’t want to make an enemy out of us” sneered the girl, staring intently at his basket. So that’s what they want… Kaido thought, clutching his basket tighter, it was worth more than he had thought initially, and wasn’t sure why. “You want food...you all want food” Kaido realised, “You’re all hungry aren’t you”. “Oh for sure, some of us don’t stoop to the levels of animals in pursuit of it however. And even fewer of us can feed ourselves through other means” jeered the same man from before. “Aanden, Baron Aanden and it would do you well to step my way” “Oh shut up Antsy, we’ll take care of you little one” proposed the leader of the children, beckoning Kaido towards her. “Ooorrrr, you could come with me!” piped up a figure displaced from the rest of the gangs. “You are not welcome here Raoden” Aanden stated, “not that it bothers me too much”. “Oh it bothers me however” the young girl said, motioning her men against him. “Quick buddy, come with me, I’ll even let you keep your basket” the man yelled. Now the others were moving against him, whilst some began advancing on Kaido. Well this went south quickly Kaido muttered, seeing a shot at independence with the hated stranger. He broke off into a sprint, staggering those in front of him and slipping past the people turned towards the stranger. Kaido nodded towards him as he ran, and the stranger bolted away with him, “Don’t trip on the stones. And watch where you’re running!” he hissed towards Kaido. Kaido nodded again, confused. “Don’t worry, this is normal, happens almost every time someone new enters Elantris, just be glad you didn’t accidentally wander into one of their territories”. Once again, Kaido nodded. The stranger appraised him with a quick glance as they turned at a corner, it sounded like the people behind them were more preoccupied with each other than him. “Quiet all of a sudden? Seemed pretty confident before” the stranger noted. “Just...shocked” Kaido wheezed, nobody had told him being taken by the Sheod meant this. The man laughed and motioned Kaido into a building. “Welcome to Elantris” Oh how Kaido wished he hadn’t looked up. 7. No more sign-ups, the thread will be closed soon. Turn 1 will be posted shortly.
  8. Well...you haven't mentioned your son's name or persona...technically anyone can and it'd be easy to work with
  9. Here's an idea and try to get someone to roleplay as your son (Seriously it will work so well story-wise)
  10. You have brought this upon yourself.
  11. Ah man I'm honoured you hold me in such high esteem, is pleasant to be greeted as such after a year of inactivity I'm just gonna say it off the bat that I don't have the time to be involved in this. If you have smaller inquiries or questions hit me up but I don't have the time to look over 30 pages of writing Thanks regardless man.
  12. >Jumps on the shard after almost a year >Is pinged here and claimed to be one of the most creative people on the shard > Well damnation Thanks >.> I'm genuinely honoured and feel bad for not being more active ------ I agree with the expositiony aspect of it, my first thought was honestly "Who are you Michael Bay"- cos Transformers is p similar in this aspect in the beginning...also "more than meets the eye" Also, the entrance is unnecessary, makes assumptions and in all honesty if I were sitting in the audience watching I'd feel bored and want to leave. You've distanced yourself from the viewer and broken their suspense of disbelief, established that they are merely viewers and not a part of the play itself. Keep in mind there's a relationship there between theatregoers and the show itself. Capitalise on it. Mordechai makes me think of a murderous cup of tea xD Feels really pulpy and generic in all honesty- Worldbuilding is good but the way it is presented is really boring imo, it isn't grand and enthralling- as theatres should be. Instead of drawing the viewers in it alienates them in this world where everyone speaks as if they were in a middle school play and don't act naturally- as if they know people are watching Also add more humour into it, humour works well in plays. --------- That's just my initial feedback, I don't have too much time I'm afraid so if you ping me in response I may be able to go into it deeper.
  13. 79. Become self-aware and slowly and subtly manipulate the events around you to the point where the author needs you to continue and form the story and your death would make the world fall apart. (So be like Joker or Deadpool).
  14. How do you think plastic is fine but paper isn't? Paper's biodegradable where plastic isn't. I find reusable bags annoying because most of the time they aren't even that reusable and easily tear (straps mainly) under the slightest pressure.Reusable bags are generally much larger than plastic/paper ones and don't really distribute weight that well, whereas plastic/paper hold less and don't rip as much.
  15. Neither orange the colour or orange the fruit came first: The colour orange was named after the fruit, which was named after the tree which bore it. The fruit was actually originally called "geoluread" which is "Yellow-red" in old english whereas the word orange comes from the Sanskrit word "Naranga" which would have meant "orange tree".
  16. 64. Don't let the wizard disappear.
