  1. Really? How are you supposed to kill anyone in the University if Assassins don't work? Also no idea on why my votes didn't go through. That's a better question for the GMs lol
  2. Kill who, Stick? And no, I went to Imre a couple turns ago to see if I could buy an Assassin myself, but since I've been paying uni tuition the whole game, I don't have enough (yet). I didn't think that would affect my vote though since I'm still a member of the university
  3. Honestly both really just need to die >> although Cluny being a Master now makes me a little nervous. My recommendation is that whichever one of you is village, you use the last of your money either on an assassin against the other, or bodyguards for players you think are good. Also if you can Fae Lore Cluny that would be great as well, since I'm still unsure about him.
  4. I'm somewhat inclined to agree with you, Burnt. I can't parse why Steph would not use the sabotage if she were evil. It really makes no sense for her not too. Meanwhile Brightness is expelled and has limited targets... Edit: I guess it could have been an attempt to frame. Like, she deliberately not uses it to make the player she "Fae Lores" to look bad. Hence why I'd be happy with both dying. Less guess work, more information.
  5. That's a good question. @Elbereth, @TheMightyLopen, @DroughtBringer: Do the Skindancers only need to kill players who have been elevated? Also, Brightness. If Steph is evil but still in the university, what actions do you think she took? It would make the most sense for her to do the sabotage, as she could not be blocked by you or Stick, but she could easily drive anyone else insane. That's the main thing I'm having trouble figuring out right now.
  6. Alright, I still haven't thoroughly read the rules so my understanding of this situation isn't the best. But this is what I understand: BR is saying she used Fae Lore on Cluny and Straw, and lo and behold, there was no sabotage. She thinks it's because one of them is evil. Steph is claiming that the attack on Stick was determined to be from the Skindancers, which BR openly admitted to in thread that day. Therefore she is suspicious of BR. Theoretically, either BR has to be evil or Steph does. I don't think there is a way that they can both be innocent with this information. If Steph is evil, then it's possible that either Cluny and Straw are as well and she's trying to cover for them. If BR is evil than Cluny and Straw are very likely innocent. My recommendation: Brightness and Steph, let us kill you. If you just one of you dies this turn, the village has to do no guess work. I know that after all your hard work you probably want to survive this, but here's the thing. Can you honestly expect the Skindancer to just let themselves die? No. But if you are village and do, then it becomes clear that the other player is evil and the remaining villagers can focus all of their resources on removing them. Otherwise we delay the game longer and give the Skindancers time to pull out a win. What do you two think? Are either of you willing to die for the greater good?
  7. I'm in the Frankfurt airport on mobile so I can't really quote properly. Sorry. I wouldn't be mad tbh, since I'd still be able to see how long I would have last on luck alone. I am ruling out inactives for now because they wouldn't be able to put in actions, although now that I realize HH could take multiple actions, all three of them are potential suspects. As for Alv and Orlok, I don't see a point in thinking about them, let alone wasting resources. It was ruled by Lopen that if the only remaining Skindancers were insane, the game would probably end, which means there's still a sane one out there. They need to be our priority. Edit: okay so I just read some of HH's backlog and I've seen him vote for Arinian and Steph, which I honestly doubt he specifically would do if they were teammates. There was also a time where apparently Eol was sabotaged but somehow didn't go insane. Anyone have an explanation for that? Also apparently SB broke out of the crockery at one point so he's probably village too, assuming he was sent there by the Skindancers As such, I'm voting Cluny Cluny. For now I'd bet he's a Skindancer, based on his interactions with HH.
  8. Wait! Really??? Why didn't anyone say that earlier lol. Would have made his alignment more obvious
  9. Still alive. Apparently this time I had a drink with my Mercenary friends. Okay so Stick isn't exactly cleared but I hesitate to believe the Skindancers would have two Physickers. Since the write up clarifies Brightness was sabotaged last turn, and that Burnt's doesn't, does that mean she was hit by an Assassin? In my mind the only last possible Skindancers are Steph and Cluny. Imo everyone else is relatively cleared. Hm. Now that we know HH is evil that means he very likely lied about Detaining Alv, so that means he either Detained Burnt or Arin. We still need to figure out why the other player was Detained too. Edit: Eh, wait. I'm dumb. We know there's a second Skindancer Physicker, unless one of Burnt or Arin lied. So maybe Stick is evil >> sigh. Steph have you scanned everyone yet? Everyone active, at least.
  10. @Paranoid King, why so lurky? I am super confused to be honest. I can't really parse how Brightness' action could have failed without her being detained, which doesn't appear to be what happened. If a sabotage is blocked, would it appear to be the same message as we got for Brightness, or different? If different, then we need to figure out why there was none. Also nothing new on my end, unless you count Lopen making me an "honorary merc" (really wish that had some kind of game mechanic. A kill ability would be nice right now).
  11. There is certainly a chance you're telling the truth, Steph, but if you are than the only explanation I can think of is if HH and Stick are both Skindancers. Edit: Or one of Burnt / Arin is lying. Probably Burnt.
  12. Eh. Honestly HH, if you are a villager, you really should argue your innocence / contribute more. Making posts like that doesn't help any of us establish a good read on you, which means people will continue to tunnel on and try to kill you, which might be just what the Skindancers need to win. Unless your an SD and just don't care, which is the vibe I'm getting right now. Edit: Ah right, Stick voting for PK... bleh. That and her "not using an action" makes me uneasy. Sigh. I wish I could help more guys, but I don't have the time or energy to check back logs. I still would like HH and Steph to die the most, I think. They're my best bets, knowing what I do now. My next two suspects would be Stick and Cluny. Everyone else, I think is clean. Edit2: Oh right. Arin. Killing Alv at this point isn't a very good option, I think. We are getting low on numbers and not going after the sane Skindancers first could maybe cost us the game.
  13. Straw and Eol are unlikely a problem since they would need to be participating to put orders in to sabotage people. Wait. Are either of them on the streets? I feel like I remember Eol going on them but if Straw isn't, he's a potential candidate. And I'm pretty sure that the write up only says that when someone gets out on the streets. Although it would be very useful if each new thread had a list of the homeless. Also nah on me putting lodging orders in. It's probably a really bad move on my part, and might even cost the village the game, but it really does amuse me to see how long I can survive, and I really can't dedicate more time and energy to this game than I have the last couple days for a week or so at least, if not longer.
  14. Mainly Steph, it's because I can't figure out how both Burnt and Arin could have been detained unless A: Alv was a Sympathist or B: Both HH and Stick are Skindancing Physickers (or there's a third no one is telling us about, or the elims have an ability to redirect HH's detainment)
  15. I'm voting HH HH. I have a feeling that he didn't detain Alv, but someone else, and that Alv was the one who sabotaged Jon. The alternative might be that Steph Sabotaged Jon last night, but I'm leaning this one. EDIT: Sorry for the DP, in a rush. Got to go. Gut is telling me the mercs are finally going to kill me.
  16. Okay. I'll not worry about him too much right now. Everyone who sees this, if you could kill two people right now, who would they be and why? I would choose HH and Steph for previously stated reasons
  17. Honestly, I'm confused >> but I do feel that either Stick or Steph have to be evil, and maybe HH too. The fact that no one has come forward about detaining Burnt or Arin means that one of the three aren't being honest, and it's very possible that Steph and HH are both lying to confuse us long enough for them to pull a win, or maybe for Alv to escape, although I don't think they'll be able to pull it off. I guess I would advocate that HH or Stick get killed by any means possible. If one flips village than we just remove the other. Otherwise move onto Steph if the game doesn't end. Although I will say I am very unsure about Cluny. I trust Burnt and Arin for being detained, although it's possible that Burnt was role blocked by Fae Lore and knew that claiming detainment quickly would implicate the Physickers / give her an excuse. I trust Brightness because I don't think she would have reacted the way she did if she were actually a Skindancer. I also trust PK because he was sabotaged, but I feel the need to ask: is it possible to arrange a break out? Or increase chances? Because it's possibly a form of WGG
  18. If HH was lying about who he detained, there's no way that Burnt and Arin could have also been detained unless Alv was a Sympathizer. Steph said he was 1:1 Alchemy and Artificery, so she has to be lying. I just realize now that HH could be a student in this scenario, though, so never mind on that... I mostly chose him because something about your previous post made me want to give you the benefit of the doubt. Plus, there's the fact Steph is voting for you / didn't mention you've been elevated in anything other than Physicks. So that was a part of my trusting you over HH. What are the odds of a third Physicker? Are there any players who we don't have claims for?
  19. Okay, okay. Huh. I was going to wait for Steph to respond, but I'm not sure if it matters. My pet theory right now is that the Skindancers were Aonar/Stink/Alv/HH/Steph. It seems like a pretty solid team for me. My only question is, if Alv and HH are Skindancers, would it be possible for Alv to go insane naturally?
  20. @Arinian, did your PM specifically say you were detained, too? HH says he detained Alv. Stick says she detained no one. Steph says that Alv was not a Sympathist. So unless there's an Alchemy or Artificery power capable of redirecting an action used on Alv, someone is either lying or there's one-two more players capable of detaining others who have not spoken up yet. If Physickers can reduce an allies insanity points, it does make a lot of sense for the Skindancers to go for it, although I hate killing players for their role alone. Can anyone tell me how soon Stick began suspecting HH? Did it come before or after he revealed what he was studying?
  21. Hm. Okay. Huh. Do we know Alv was going for Sympathy for sure? If so, then him being bound to Burnt and Arin makes me think they're probably good, and he's likely evil. Did Alv ever mention being suspicious of either? It's also possible one of Burnt and Arin are lying, but I'm not sure why they would unless HH was also evil... and I don't really know if either of them would come up with the idea to feign detainment to distract us. Although I guess they might lie about it to clear themselves of sabotaging Jon. Who exactly killed Stink? I guess I'd ask Aonar too, but Stink's death was mostly out of the blue so I for sure trust whoever killed him. Knowing this would help me narrow suspects
  22. @Elbereth, @TheMightyLopen, @DroughtBringer: Can insane Skindancers sabotage? Do they need to be killed for the village to win? Same questions for expelled (I'm sure I know this one, but might as well ask)
  23. Eh I'm not sure if it really matters. I'm assuming that if the last Skindancer is alive, but insane, we still win. So if any of the players who lost their sanity naturally are evil, the game will end as soon as we eliminate the remaining one(s). Ah, right >> I skimmed the write up when it was posted and noticed that, but forgot by the time I wrote that post Hm. Back when PK went insane, did the write up reveal it was due to the Skindancers or natural? Did you detain one of Burnt or Arin? If so, which?
