Slimy? Anyway, I don't know. I feel like there's no proof that Stick was also attacked by a Skindancer. Didn't she have a bodyguard and a gram at the time?

Who's all expelled, currently? You, Brightness, ...?

There's been two games set in SotD, I believe, although one was a vanilla game, so the setting was little more than flavor. MR11 had roles, however, so if you want give it a look and see if you'd like to reuse anything in it. I'd also recommend you read the game because it was a pretty good one. I had a lot of fun, at least. If you do, I recommend you don't spoil yourself and read it from beginning to end. That being said, I'm personally not a fan of unintended death as a mechanic. I would probably just use the islands being dangerous as flavor for people dying of inactivity. I'd also say that using percentages at all unnecessarily complicates things. As a player and a GM I prefer things like not being able to use an ability two turns in a row, as an alternative way to balance it.

Is this for sure confirmed? From the rules: "Expulsion: Student is kicked out of the University. They also lose their ability to speak in PMs, but can still talk in the main thread (and in a doc, if applicable). They cannot lodge complaints. They must still arrange boarding each term, but they cannot sleep in the Mews, since that’s an option available only for University students. Expelled students can continue using any field ability they may have had and any items they created. They cannot gain any more abilities or make any more items. Their abilities can only affect people in Imre, but players still in the Arcanum can affect them, even if they are not in Imre. Sabotages kill expelled students, if they are unprotected." It says they can use their abilities, but I don't think buying a Assassin is technically an ability. @Elbereth, @TheMightyLopen, @DroughtBringer

I don't see why not. It's not like the assassin is expelled. I know my Assassin will work, at least. Why do you think this? Like, the write up implies that it was an Assassin who attacked Brightness.
-
I don't want to annoy you. It's definitely nothing personal. But with the information available to me, I'm convinced one of you and your sister have to be evil, and my heart is telling me it's you.

It doesn't happen often, but sometimes elims will attack one of their own (if they have protection) so they can gain trust. If you truly are village, then I would guess that's why. Okay, so here's what I'm thinking. @queensteph, @Straw, @Paranoid King, @Burnt Spaghetti, @Arinian, @Cluny the Scourge, @BrightnessRadiant: if you're a villager and capable of attacking someone, we need to coordinate. The Skindancers shouldn't be able to block every kill, and there's no real way to predict how much protection they have. My question to each of you is who do you vote we try to remove first. Steph or Brightness? If you think someone else should be killed before either of them, why? I really can't see any way that one of those two can't be evil, so I feel that we need to solve that problem before we try looking for any others. For now my kill is on Steph, but I am willing to change it to Brightness if there's enough consensus / a reasonable enough argument for Steph being good / Brightness being evil.

Hm. I reread the write up from the attack on Stick and it was just an Assassin who attacked her. No Sabotage that turn. Sooo, I dunno. I don't think anyone else was involved.

I may have a been a tad drunk at the time of my last post, so I'm not exactly sure what I meant about my job and this country I'll think of something later, have work things to take care of now

Honestly Cluny, i could say some things but my job takes language very serious, so I would rather not risk it. But I think you are a very well mannered person and this country will be mostly a good experiwnfe for you

What does FoS stand for? For the record it was this post: I would explain what about it exactly made me think you're village, but I'm honestly very tired right now so I can't be bothered to articulate my thoughts. That being said, note how you quote BR here where she says she thinks I'm village. Pretty sudden change to what she's saying now, don't you think? I'm wondering if it's because she's a Skindancer who's been ignoring me because she thought I'd be killed by Mercs by now, and since I'm still around, is irked that she's not as far ahead as she thought she'd be and figured casting suspicion on me could be a good idea. Not sure if I'm wording that in a way that's understandable, but yeah >>
-
I would say it because I wanted to tease BR and because I wanted to see how she would react, especially because her sudden suspicion of me is a relatively large red flag. Also can you explain what the Skindancer(s) could really do to stop my kill? Buy protection? We can already assume that they're doing that regardless of what I say. I'm pretty sure there's no one left with the ability to roleblock villagers, so it's not like they could stop my assassin in it's tracks. I am honestly considering attacking BR instead, though >> I keep going back and forth which one of the sisters I think is more likely the Skindancer, and BR's posts this turn give me the impression that she's been waiting on me to die. Like, a turn ago she was openly talking about getting me protection, and now suddenly she thinks I'm lying about being a homeless, helpless old woman. Feels a bit weird to me. I will add though that I liked one of your posts the previous turn, I think it was. Gave me a pretty good villager vibe. So I don't really suspect you as much, and as I've said before, one of Steph or BR absolutely has to be a Skindancer, so killing anyone else before the two of them is just a really, really bad idea. We need to focus our resources on removing one of them ASAP. So I honestly think everyone who can should agree to attack one, and then the other if they prove to be village. Okay so, let's say that Brightness sent an Assassin onto Stick, a Skindancer sabotaged Stick, and Steph put in the order "I want to investigate the assassin contract on Stick from the previous turn." Would she receive the ping? @queensteph, how did you word your OR order?

Wait, really? I don't remember that. Never mind then. What about @Straw. Are you still playing? @Elbereth, @TheMightyLopen, @DroughtBringer: When using Omen Recognition, do you select a specific event and only learn if the person responsible is a Skindancer, or is it possible that multiple people targeting the same player (with either the same action or a different one) could interfere with the result?

To be fair, Eolhondras has been on the streets for just as long and is still alive, so apparently two people are that lucky also BR, I'm no expert, but the description of Omen Recognition implies that the user chooses a specific event to check for Fae, so I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't matter if someone else targeted Stick. In other words one of you and Steph have to be evil. So, yeah. Do you want me to change my assassin target from Steph to you?
-
Well one question we should ask is who all attacked Stick, since it said she was attacked a lot, and why they chose her specifically
-
I kinda pointed out that Stick had to be a student if Steph was telling the truth... I'm a bit bothered that she was the one killed other than BR or Steph On that note, though, I just bought my first assassin ever yay for me finally doing something
-
So uh. Unless I'm missing something, Stick can't be a Skindancer if Steph is telling the truth about her investigating the event. "Omen Recognition: You recognize the signs of all kinds of fae. Because of this, you can investigate any event and determine whether or not it was caused by a fae." The rules clearly say caused not involving. So it's got to either be BR or Steph, right?

Honestly would be pretty clever if it was true. I wouldn't put it past me XD
-
I'll be very amused if somehow I'm the only one who survives and I've been on the streets the whole game. Let's make it happen
-
I'm a mixed bag of emotions, currently. I think my order of trust goes from (greatest to least) BR, Stick, Steph, based on their reactions to me suggesting they sacrifice themselves, with Stick and Steph being close enough that I'm not really sure which I should put last Honestly I'm starting to convince myself it's Stick again >> but I still don't have the time or focus to really analyze anything. Sorry I'm not more help, everyone (I literally haven't done anything this game lol)

Mostly because I've been gone most the game so I really don't know what's going on. And because I'm a better safe than sorry person right now. I have no idea who is what so if everyone dies than I know the Skindancers lost someone.
-
Can we just kill all three of you? Seems like the easiest solution

I just got the answer. Elevations come before the Horns in the Order of Actions.
-
Only comment I really have to add is that imo killing students in the crockery will cost us the game. We need to remove the Skindancers that are still in play, not the ones that might-as-well-be-dead In order to progress we need both BR and Steph dead. Or at least the Skindancer between the two of them has to die first
