Long Game 22: Corenne al'Daishar
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hey, it wasn't shifted very much(if at all) in the first version of this game was it? You got a problem with the way I do things? But I already answered all those questions you put up before you even asked them. Do I really need to talk more? D: Actually, I don't mind. Have a player list with my thoughts on each player! Darn you Elbereth. See what you've done? I was gonna go watch some Arrow and now it's getting late. >> Argh, and now I'm wishing I listed them in order of most trusted to least trusted. :/ Whatever. Hey Mailliw, can you explain your trust of Bugsy a little more? I'd like to get a more detailed opinion of him to compare with when I go over his posts and my PM with him. Same with Sheep, didn't you say you were suspecting him a bit? Edit: Put it in spoilers cause it was so long! I haven't done one of those for a while. -

Well, I think I've already stated my opinion about Elbereth(that I think she's likely a villager or possibly Corrupted but I don't have any evidence that points to her being Corrupted). I don't think that the fact that Stink trusts Meta so much really means a whole lot. I know his reasoning for why he trusts him, but it's not all that conclusive. Anyways, since Meta seems busy or something, I'll remove my vote from him for now. About Elbereth saying she'd want to work with someone "new." I think she was saying that since she worked with Joe in the Death Note QF where she converted him over to her side, she wouldn't convert him this time. So not "new" as in "new to SE." I'm gonna put my vote on phattemer now. All he's done is talk about meta issues. I don't think he's given one opinion on who he thinks is suspicious or anything like that. He's talked about how kill roles shouldn't kill, but Wolf-Brothers are confirmed village from the start, so that's not helpful. He's also commented about what games he's played, but, again, that tells us nothing about his alignment for this game. -

What exactly are you saying here? How would Wilson "get" the Darkfriends to target her and how would she know if Fain tried to target her? I don't see how that's possible. If she knew who Fain or a Darkfriend was during the previous Night, I'm pretty sure she would have told multiple people and asked around to get a Wolf-Brother to kill them. Rubik, you said that several people are acting fishy. Who are those people? I don't just want to hear who you're most suspicious of. As for strategies used around here, I'm not sure I can be of much help. My strategy is to point out inconsistencies in players posts or suspicious looking posts. It's just basic mafia strategy I guess? Sometimes we come up with plans regarding roles, but those are usually discussed in PM's. Aman did tell me he was Detaining Jaime, in case anyone wanted confirmation about that. I don't think that Elbereth is Fain though. At one point, Wilson told me she suspected El of being Fain(so she's not Wilson's channeler I'm assuming), but after a while, Wilson told me that she'd talked with El a bit and told me point blank that El wasn't Fain. She definitely could be Corrupted, but until the evidence suggests that(of which I have seen nothing so far), I would assume she's village(c'mon, she helped kill Sart and was the first player to really push for lynching Gunshy. I think it's safe to assume she's not a Darkfriend at least). About Meta. El, you really need to get over his rep. Sure, he could be village. It's a possibility that we shouldn't overlook. But that doesn't mean we should just leave him be until he gets scanned or something(and by "leave him be" I mean never put any real pressure on him. You say you'd like to hear more of from him, and so would I, but that doesn't really pressure him at all, at least, not like a vote would). For me, I'm suspicious of him because of 1. His comments about players connected to Sart before Sart was lynched. He tried to imply that me and Sart could be eliminators together based off of very weak evidence(Sart Mayor voted for me), he accused Winter of defending Sart(but hasn't mentioned that again for some reason?) and he tried to make it look like Mailliw was a Darkfriend if Sart turned out to be one as well. I mentioned before that I'm leaning village for both Winter and mailliw and of course I know I'm village(and I hope I've proven that to some degree at this point). Then, 2. He cast suspicion on Seonid and Bard for their 'defenses' of Sart. Again, I'm leaning pretty heavily village for both of them. And 3. Not a huge point against him really, but he didn't talk much about Gunshy when Wilson brought him up for suspicion(he basically said "I could see it. It was a bit of a slip but I'd like to hear from him before we think about lynching him."). I'd even told Meta that he was one of three people I suspected from the interactions of the Sart lynch(the three being Elodin, Gunshy, and Haelbarde), and he never came back to me on it, and at the time, said he'd keep an eye on them when he went back through and then went on to suggest that maybe Elodin was Fain after all(this was before the Detainment mess happened). So to me, it kinda felt like he was trying to avoid bringing very much attention to Gunshy, even though me and Wilson had said he was suspicious and other players were talking about him as well. Anyways, that's basically all of my reasoning I think. There's also the fact that both Wilson and Maill said there was something off about him. -

Yeah, I would like to suggest that the Wolf-Brothers focus their kills on actual suspects at this point though, if they kill at all(not killing is definitely an option you guys! ). If a player is inactive for too long, they could get switched with a pinch-hitter or you could kill them then, if they're genuinely inactive. But Twei wasn't really what I'd label as 'inactive.' She was just having trouble keeping up with the thread, and understandably so. So, on to those actual suspects. My current pool of suspects for the last Darkfriends are Meta(lots of people suspect him), phattemer(I'm hoping he'll participate in the lynch finally. Well, I suspect he'll be involved with it in one way or another. ), Elodin(still suspicious of him. Plus, Meta has defended him quite a bit lately), Haelbarde(yeah, still wondering about you ), and Hellscythe(still lingering suspicion from last Cycle). Oh yeah, and Conquestor a bit as well. I would lynch any of those players except Haelbarde at this point. To respond to Rubik about what I'd like to hear from you, I want to know who you're suspicious of and any thoughts you have on the game so far. Just basic stuff. You haven't talked much about who you think is suspicious. You've said how you go about analyzing players, but we haven't really heard the results of said analyzing. You helped lynch Gunshy, true, but you were pretty late with your vote and the lynch was basically settled when you voted, so I'm not inclined to trust you very much from that. Edit: Voted on Meta. Edit2: I kinda still want to be Mayor, but whatever. -

Hey, the Darkfriends actually killed somebody this time. I guess that's not really much of a surprise, but I thought I'd mention it. -

As the sun began to set, and night settled on Drell's Crossing, Jak made his way to the rooftop he'd chosen for his new home, which would hopefully keep him out of sight from any suspicious characters. He'd eventually found Lorien, or rather, Lorien had found him, and he'd reported that he'd seen "werewolves" on his patrols the previous night. The man had gone pale as he spoke, so it seemed he had indeed seen some type of beast out there. Just great. Not only do we have Darkfriends in our village, now we've got some kind of wolf creatures too. Light! Maybe I should just get out of here. Even as he thought about leaving, he knew he couldn't actually go. Something about this place was keeping him here. Almost as if he had no control over his own actions. No, I've got to see this through to the end, whatever that may be. Jak neared the building he'd picked out earlier for his new home, The Golden Dagger, and began to silently climb to the roof, but couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. The past days events were no comfort either. They'd learned that Gunshy, the shop owner who'd sold dirt of all things, had been a Darkfriend. First it was Sarah, and now Gunshy. Two Darkfriends revealed in such a short span of time, and wolves on the loose were enough to cause Jak to consider trying to get a room somewhere. "I suppose as Mayor, I could maybe get a room if I just asked," he mumbled to himself, considering the dangers of staying out during the night. He hesitated for a moment, then walked to the front of the inn and and opened the door. His senses were immediately bombarded as light poured out from the common room and chatter from the townsfolk erupted when he opened the door. This was a mistake. I don't belong here, he thought anxiously as he slowly made his way to the bar, where the owner of the place stood looking out over the crowd. There was quite a few people here, for all the events that had been happening lately. It seemed that this was a good place to meet and discuss what was going on in the town. Jak kept his hat low over his eyes, trying to stay unnoticed by the crowd. "Excuse me. Keland, was it?" he asked, as he leaned forward against the bar. "You own this place right? I don't have much money, but I need a place to stay for the night, if there's somewhere available. I'll work for it, if I must. I have no musical talents," Jak said, as he grimaced slightly. "I've had my voice likened to the braying of a dying mule and I've never been able to play even the simplest of instruments, but give me any other work and I'll do it to the best of my ability. Is that agreeable?" He felt like a fool. He'd never needed the comforts or safety of walls surrounding him before. He was a wanderer. Without a place to call home. This town was poisoning him, making him see enemies in the shadows he'd once felt a part of. Well, there you go Wilson. You're not Fain yet, but I figure I could get to that at some point once we've talked a bit, if you really want to RP as Fain. And anyone else can feel free to "recognize" Jak if you're character is in The Golden Dagger too. -

Heh, fair enough. Edit: Right now, I'd like to hear more from phattemer, Winter, Sheep, Hellscythe, Araris and Rubik a little as well, although he did help lynch Gunshy, so I'm leaning villager for him right now. I'm leaning villager for a few of the other players listed above too, but still would like to hear more from them. -

Yeah, I tend to try not to get into those types of paranoid theories because they tend to make everyone just a bit too paranoid. Gamma, could you tell us if there's a role that can change the appearance of someone's alignment upon death? Agreed on the point that so much activity makes doing in depth analysis on each player really tough. I am usually doing big player list posts at this point, but it's hard to get the time to do a full one that has any real analysis in it. But I don't mind too much, because I really enjoy lots of posts, just because it makes the game that much more interesting. -

I'll sign up! Looks like it'll be a fun one! And it's a lot simpler than all the crazy complicated games that have been running lately, which is nice. I'll be Lopen I suppose. Edit: Lol, why am I marvelously 9th in the player list?- 346 replies

I don't really know how to go about finding Fain right now, so, I'll do a post with my suspicions at some point this Turn probably, but I don't have any good suspects for Fain right now, sorry. I don't think that Elodin is Corrupted or Fain, since he's claimed Dreamwalker and he was Detained when someone got Corrupted. And, I don't think that anyone started as Corrupt. I think that would probably be in the rules if it was the case. And since we have an extended Night Turn, I'll try to get some RP done(Still need to respond to Conq! Sorry about that!). -

Welcome JoeNyali! Hopefully you've been keeping up, else you've got a ton of reading to do! And I'm not sure what to think of the fact that Elodin was Detained. If he is really a Dreamwalker, I don't see the point. So I suggest that whoever it was that killed Orlok, attack Elodin this Night and then we'll have evidence if he really is a Dreamwalker or not. I also suggest that a Channeler use the Mirror thing on Strawman, in case he gets attacked or roleblocked this Night Turn. I think that would probably be best. -

Yeah, I know. Fain...he's gonna be really annoying to deal with. Anyways, you say you backed off Wilson, but you want her to be scanned over Meta? Haha, actually, I just keep a second tab open and then read ninja posts like that, but I was feeling lazy and didn't particularly care if part of my post was the same thing someone else posted. -

You do realize you actually just tied the votes right? I mean, I'm sure some votes will get shifted to make certain there's not a tie, but I just thought I'd point that out. Lynching the Forsaken on the first Day? I can't say I think that's a likely possibility. Like, hardly a chance at all. Especially if they think they're gonna die early, since that seems like it would make them try to kill as many villagers as possible with the time they have rather than bussing one of their most powerful players. Edit: Lol, I knew I should have checked on those ninja's before I posted. Edit2: Oh, and add Meta to the list of players who have been online during this. -

I Mayor voted on myself, so I am leading the votes apparently. And I thought Seonid was still voting on Elodin? And why does it have Elodin voting on Wilson and Gunshy? So many posts again! Edit: And according to the votes, Elodin should still have 6, -

Players online right now(for future reference in case anything really suspicious comes out of all of this): Conquestor, Lopen, Jaime, Haelbarde, Elbereth, mailliw, Rubiks, Seonid, Araris, Elodin. Thanks for the vote tally Rubiks! Mailliw, eh, you could be, I don't really know. If anyone else had tried to cast suspicion on Meta and Wilson like you have, I'd think they're most likely village because that would really be putting themselves out there which eliminators don't tend to do much, but you're you and you were just talking with Wilson about trying risky gambits, so I'm less sure. -
Long Game 22: Corenne al'Daishar
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Maybe Mailliw? I'm getting a weird read on him. Plus, hardly anyone has commented on him, which could signify that he's an eliminator because he's put forward some unique opinions(such as suspicion of Wilson and Meta, who are mostly cleared from being Darkfriends in most players eyes) but hasn't gotten much heat from it. This is a relatively new suspicious though, and I don't think I'd actually want to lynch him right now. Maybe scan him though. Lol, sometimes I get like that at the end of Day Turns and sometimes Night Turns. It's why I've said in a lot of previous games that I don't like to be around to do last minute stuff, because I get freaked out that I'll be wrong. A vote tally would be very helpful right now, yeah. -

Okay, well, better back up my words. Elodin Gunshy Let's see how this goes. I may change back though. I'm feeling very unsure about all of this. I'm not sure if I'm actually going to be the Mayor or not, since I think Meta may be tied with me for Mayor votes. I'm against lynching Bard though, so I'm not gonna move my Mayor vote to Meta. Edit: Seonid, I don't want to swing it to Bard. I'm not at all suspicious of him. -
Long Game 22: Corenne al'Daishar
TheMightyLopen replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I actually did just think about testing his(Elodin's) claim with a Wolf kill. It would both back up his claim and it would ensure that he didn't send in the DF kill, so he wouldn't actually be doing any harm. I think I'd lynch Gunshy if we got enough votes on him, but I'm not really very sure about him either, so I don't know. My suspicions are pretty wacky at the moment. I'm still a bit suspicious of Rubiks and Jaime as well, although I don't know if I want to lynch them. Twei and Haelbarde both seem pretty neutral to me. Twei, because she's been very quiet, with short posts when she does post, and Haelbarde because his posts always just seem so neutral to me, like, they don't seem evil, but it doesn't seem like he takes a firm stance on much. Ninja'd by Jaime. I have to agree with you there. My gut is going crazy right now and I don't trust myself. O.o -

Well, I guess Hellscythes' responses were enough that I'll remove my vote from him. At this point, I don't see a better candidate than Elodin, even though I'm having doubts. Sorry for the short post, but I've been feeling unwell for the past few hours so I don't feel like doing a long explanation post or trying to find a better alternate lynch candidate. Elodin still seems suspicious to me and we have had a lot of discussion about him, so he seems like the best player to lynch at this point. Sorry if you're actually a villager Elodin. The Day ends in about 2 hours, just so everyone is aware. Sigh. Now I need to go green out all of my previous votes. -

Ah, okay. Fair enough. Haha, well, I guess I could, but it would be a little odd since I'm one of the ones who really doesn't think you're Fain. Corrupted? Possible, sure, but given you claimed on N1 and in the thread that you have a role, I'd say it's very unlikely that you're Fain.
