I liked it, a lot, but I love Mistborn so... yeah. SoS was better than BoM. While BoM had a lot of worldbuilding, which was interesting but I think that SoS was a much better book. Im still somewhere half way through Equal Rites. I dont know why I decided to read them in order, but I did. I really want to read The Blinding Knife... and Perdido Street Station... and The Wise Mans Fear... and all the Dresden Files I have. Thing that sucks about traveling is that you cant bring all the stuff you want. Remember how good The Black Prism was though? Remember how cool chromathurgy is? Of course you want to read it. <.< >.> Maybe.

Another way is to come up with a trait, like Wayne came from his obsession with hats and then that just spiraled out of control... Three of my characters had the following origins: With Riem I wanted a charming, but cynical trickster thief, so he is a sarcastic anti hero who crashes governments just because he really wants something. And a little because they are corrupt and the people would be better off without them, but mostly because that is one hell of a decoy. The detective (I really need names for these two) is fabulous, charming and intelligent. Then there was a female villain/anti hero (Im no good at making 'good' characters...) who's entire personality came from a really dirty joke... I am horrible at names too. I usually just have placeholder names, that then stick because I am too lazy to come up with actual names...

My opinion: Mistborn era 1 (Alloy of Law if you are really curious what happened after era 1) Warbreaker Elantris The Emperors Soul The Way of Kings (Alloy of Law if you didnt read it yet as a break between these giant epics) Words of Radiance Mistborn era 2 (Including The Alloy of Law if you managed to put it off this long) I have not read the novellas yet, so I wont say anything about them. Reason I have Elantris after Mistborn and Warbreaker is that I started with Mistborn and loved them. Then I read Elantris and was disappointed in the lack of magic, so read something with more magic before you read Elantris. Alloy of Law can be read any time after Era 1 Mistborn. Right after if you are really curious how the world turned out, between the two Stormlight books if you need a breather (Otherwise you can read Storm Front in the middle of Words of Radiance like I did ) or you can read it when you read the rest of era 2.
