I am illegal in North Korea. I feel pretty good about this for some reason.

I was tempted to go the zoophilia route, but it feels kinda tacky. I could have her chest split open and swallow you, or she just splits apart into a more monstrous form, or I could take some inspiration from Teeth, but make it worse.... I prefer the second one, I think...

I have a tendency to look at things these days and think "How could I turn this into a Lovecraftian horror?" I had an idea for a Spidery creature, The Weaver of Nightmares. It is a woman/spider thing with long, black hair who weaves it into nightmares. She can also weave creatures into cocoons and after a painful metamorphosis they turn into marionettes. Hello Horror Rapunzel, right? I guess Snow White would be sleeping, dead, dreaming in her glass cage, spreading nightmares and hallucinations of snow. She has seven, disfigured little monstrous servants to do her bidding while she sleeps. Red Riding Hood... werewolves... nah, we can make this worse... control wolf skin, maybe, pilot wolves from the inside like a very furry and fleshy mecha... maybe not...

How would you turn fairy tale princesses into monsters? Rapunzel lives in a tower and hunts with her long, prehensile hair and Snow White can pretty much be Cthulhu... and I guess you could play on that entire necrophilia angle... In her glass house Snow White lies dead, dreaming. Any other ideas?

Of course if you know the chemical mix for child defenestration you kind of have to use it. -
I'd like to paraphrase the best wizard named Harry on this "All politicians seem to exist on a spectrum between crook and moron."

When people skip through songs. Ok, fine, I get it, you need to have a party right outside my window, I dont need to like it, but fine. The latest top 40 hits (are there even 40 songs on the radio these days?) are annoying as they are, but make up your mind which one you want to listen to and dont give me a minute of each!

Broken into your house and magnetized all your dinnerware? That sounds like a fun thing I should do to someone who deserves it...

It is really a matter of practice. I spend way too much time sculpting my lyrics into the closest thing to perfection that I can. It's mostly The Walrus that doesnt make any sense and that was written to make as little sense as possible. Lucy in the Sky is painting a surreal dreamscape, that is all it is trying to do.

1. Avoid cliches, it is not a case of being original, it is just a case of not being generic. Avoid love songs like the plague unless you can truly do something interesting with them. 2. Read poetry, find bands with really good lyrics, be inspired (Personal favorites are Edgar Allen Poe, Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. For bands you have Iron Maiden (Yes, seriously), Crimson Glory, Savatage, AC/DC with Bon Scott (Yes its all about women and booze, you can write amazing poetry about women and booze, apparently) Acid Bath (And really everything by Dax Riggs) Rush, The Doors, everything you can possibly find by Peter Laughner, Joni Mitchell, Purson, Fates Warning, Psychotic Waltz... I should stop before this goes on for way too long...) 3. If you are stuck find a word that rhymes with the word in the previous line and find a logical and seamless way to work it in. 4. Orange rhymes with sporange. 5. Lyrics dont need to mean anything. If it sounds good it is good. If it paints interesting pictures it is good. 6. Avoid cliches as much as you can. You can only rhyme so many words with each other, yes, but try to create other images than party all night, fall in love, heartache, so on. Unless, of course, there is an interesting twist to it 7. Don't take advice from strangers on the internet.

Please do, knowing how insane the game can get (the first roll in mine was a guy getting eaten by a bush, and then there was fedoras that turn reality into film noir when you wear them, complete with a jazz song and making your inner monologue all husky and poetical) putting it on Discworld would just make it even more insane XD -

GMed for the first time! Went reasonably well. The game was Don't Rest Your Head, if anyone was curious. -
