Im writing a fantasy story set in more or less the universe of Super Mario Galaxy, for quick reference. So theres air mostly everywhere in the entire 'universe' (I haved named it the Skyverea, it is a combination of Sky Universe and Sea, very creative, I know) All the planets, stars and such are pretty small compared to what we have. There will be planets in impossible and ridiculous shapes, gravity works differently so there will be lots of "walking on walls" or planets that are inside out and other weird things like that (Im handwaving most of this with "It is a different universe, the laws of physics work differently") The stars are smaller, do not bring as much heat and generally behave oddly. (They are also the source of magic), theres weird "Star Weathers" that range from the stars lowering gravity to creating zombies. "Day" and "Night" happens because the stars dim. Regular weather still exist through regular clouds (or not so regular clouds) Anyway the question all this is leading up to is: What would the color of the "sky" be? XD If you just stared at the void (which is actually air...) what color would you see? Would it be black because there is really no borders between atmospheres and not atmospheres because everything is all contained in an atmosphere? Would it be blue because the air scatters the light? Is there any excuses I could use for certain collections of planets to have differently colored "skies"?

Disclaimer: I dont know much about colors, I do however play music, listen to lots of weird music and dabble a little in microtonality. Dissonance is not inherently ugly or bad . For example The Rite Of Spring is considered revolutionary just because it is dissonant and ugly, Jimi Hendrix played with pure chaos, Penderecki is considered a genius, storms, if you are using the 12 tone scale as your example know that certain intervals (the minor thirds and the minor sevenths especially) are extremely out of tune from what is 'ideal'. (Thats just intonation, and thats a can of worms of music theory Im not going to get into now) There are other scientifically harmonious intervals that sound extremely out of key for a westerners ears, so music is an incredibly bad reference. Humans during the middle ages considered any chord more complex than the major fifth to be dissonant, jazz chords would get you burned on the stake most likely. Colors, there are people who enjoy Merzbow. tl;dr music theory is actually just a bunch of convenient lies.

Interesting thought... I think we want the leader to be the kind who avoids getting hurt in the first place though. Of course they will need guards, guards with the Progression Surge.

Well, lets come up with crazy ideas about what kind of feruchemy would be a good match for a Nicroburst! I'd say Steel, being able to get close and nicroburst someone is pretty useful. Or chromium, chromium is always cool.

Of course, of course, Atium spikes are always great, breathes should be easy enough to steal serve, however there are not a lot of surgebinders in existence so we cant just stab serve them and wish for the best. We need someone to take a dip in a shardpool to acquire the knowledge. Of course we could just stab one with an atium spike and start stabbing them into the known bindpoints.

First of all I cant actually bake so from now on I'll stop speaking around the subject we will see if it is possible to transfer the heat pits from a snake and the electric field sense from a shark or platypus to a human, possibly a tineye or a windwhisper, to see if tin will enhance those senses as well. Second of all we need a pewterarm, we will enhance our thug with feruchemical pewter, gold and steal to create a mighty warrior. Third, we will give a crasher the ability to lurch, because it would be cool. Fourth we shall create the ultimate leader. We need brass and zinc spikes, the ability to sooth and riot and to store mental speed and determination. We may want to begin with someone who has the abilities to burn electrum so they dont have to store the determination. To top this off we will give them two spikes to compound duralumin. You know you are a Sanderfan when you think this is a great idea and decide to start doing it. I am decently sure that there is a WoB that says that a bloodmaker could heal from a shardwound, so definitely Marsh, but only this far, Szeth with Nightblood might be something different completely. Hoid is by his own words terribly ineffective at hurting people, but of course he is also incredibly hard to kill. I'm probably going with Marsh as well. Though is Marsh really fullborn? The spikes shouldn't give him all the powers, unless Harmony did something.

It is possible that Clubs got some extra privileges because he used to serve in TLRs army. Like being able to run his own business.

I think the inner conflict of Elend who wants to be a kind leader and the Elend who has to be a tyrant is kind of interesting. What makes me like Elend more than Vivenne who has the same "Cant do what I need to do because my morality says I cant" problem (Kind of funny how a lot of Brandons characters needs to become anti-heroes in a way...) is that Elend has a sense of humor and he doubts himself. And what are you talking about Elend not having to fight for the throne? Thats more or less half the book XD Sure he is put on the throne at first because they are not really sure who else to put on the throne and everyone just goes with it because he is young and should be easy to manipulate, but after he loses the throne he has to fight to get it back and Elend in Hero Of Ages has no trouble going against his morality to do what needs to be done. Rant over, Elends flaw is his morality and wanting to do what is right rather than what needs to be done.

Animation, definitely animation, but not anime style (Because even if I do love anime and manga I hate the stereotypical huge eyes, no nose art most anime has), somewhat realistically hand drawn art. Though I could agree with anime if it was done in the style of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

I'd say that would be D, Im more after the effects than the causes, a magic potion can do anything, really. Exactly. I definitely agree with all of this. Ok so we have A: Enhancement B: Emission C: Manipulation D: Transformation E: Psionic I like to add a F: Creation/Summoning too, even if it kind of overlaps with emission.
