  1. Did not realise Brandon was so...animated/lively. Headcanon from WoBs made me think he was introspective/thoughtful/reserved/quiet o.O
  2. For the topic at hand: I would say Lifeless if we're talking Phantoms or a very close fight, determined by circumstances, if it were normal lifeless purely because if a Koloss takes out the one human/Returned giving Commands, then the Lifeless will be locked into the last order given. Also, depending on Koloss morale (like near outnumbered/outbeaten circumstances, how quick they bloodlust) they might just overwhelm them. Koloss do have a very long range, especially with long, broadswords so providinf how adept Lifeless are at being directed by tactics (+ can they use other weapons for better support, i mean they obviously can't do cavalry but i reckon they could do a good spike turtle formation). As for making Koloss lifeless, I guess it depends on the strength of the Haemalurgic Charge among a few other factors like; Do spikes decay inside a dead body or do they kinda reach an equilibrium where there is no benefit but the charge is still the same? How strong would the Breath have to be to counter Ruin's possible innate investiture as well as how adept does the Soulcaster/Awakener/Re-Forger have to be to counter said possible investiture and perform such a feat (do Koloss/Kandra even have innate investiture or does that come from the spike?) With personality, it is hard to say, given how Breath does give Lifeless some semblance of awareness rarely so perhaps upon death then Awakened, the spiritweb might be blank so that piece of sDNA in the spike might actually naturally incorporate itself into the blank spirit web If we do as Natc says and possibly Soulcast/Re-Forge the Koloss main body structure (Skin/Muscle) into perhaps metal/stone
  3. Here that sound? That is the sound of the internets of the mutliverse spontaneously breaking
  4. I do like this idea, especially the boon/curse bit, it would make a lot of sense: having access to an immense amount of knowledge yet not being able to do much with it. EDIT: grammar fail
  5. Congrats, you the only way you can break the internet even more is if they were lifeless koloss statues
  6. I thought the Highstorm was a natural phenomenon that was changed slightly by Honour's arrival/Death, ergo, infusion of magic? (thought i remembered reading something to it months ago, but i might have misremembered it)
  7. You know I'm all for this, just think of the possibilities! (+ it is a lot easier than throwing an Honourblade/Live Spren Shardblade) An interesting note on Shardarrows: Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy anyone?
  8. I personally disagree with Scadrian/Elantrian, purely because I feel that the innate Preservation/Ruin/Harmony Investiture might act as a block to prevent the Shaod from taking place initially unless they can somehow hack the system/live long enough (given we don't know exactly how many generations/circumstances are required for the effect to take place) It is an interesting question though, especially if they had feruchemy as well
  9. Mine is mainly names: Elhokar - Elkohar Alethkar - Alekthar (It never even occurred to me even when I see Alethi in book >.>) Seeing Wit as kinda Elfish with long black hair and glasses (probably half-moon, with a wry twinkle in his eyes) Reminds me a bit of a librarian Or Syl constantly changing shape, can only ever see her in the young woman form
  10. Bear in mind that a Spren's appearance will more than likely differ between Cognitive and Physical perceptions Just because they appear as something insiginificant in the Physical Realm, their Cognitive form could differ tremendously. They might not even have a gender
  11. Agreed, there's far too many ways for a result/reaction to happen for it to be determined exactly (unless one person burns atium) although it is probably more likely there are super important events that will always happen but all the fine details that define the how/when/where/what are always constantly changing and function on circumstantial probabilitiy (or however Shardic Foresight/Precognition works)
  12. I actually forgot about that. Hmm, that derails my thought train a little. Is it possible that after the well gets used, the volume of the mists increase?
  13. Well, I think it was confirmed via WoB that Liquid Investiture (from Shardpools) is the strongest state of the three forms we see, I'll see if i can find it. In regards to power (Mists starting far away), I'm not quite sure; could be a result of uni something similar to way the mists draw away from Ruin-Invested things (or perhaps Ruins metaphysical state, though not sure how that would work) . If we had more detailed info regarding the parameters/instructions/directives (origin point, original/actual spawn times, specific path/route etc.) of how the Mists work and their general history (pre-FE, during FE and post-FE), I could hazard a more accurate answer, or we perhaps would have already known the answer if we did. Was the in-book spawn/origin point ever mentioned or did they just materialise? Well, the Well is the most concentrated/potent portion of Preservation's Investiture on Scadrial at that current time, as well as being located at Scadrial's North Pole, so i imagine that the pull of the well maybe some what reminiscent of magnetic pull and as the Well filled up in greater quantities, the greater the pull on the mists, or perhaps is may have just been Ruin's encoaragement/guiding hand to what he would feel was poetic justice and his reward aka letting them think they have some hope and then crush it into dust.
  14. It is a very fluid-y vague subject. On one hand, there has been a bit of foreshadowing along with his build-up as a character whereas, on the other hand he was originally unplanned as a character and the build-up was purely because he worked so well and has now developed into quite a semi-prominent figure so it will be interesting to see
  15. I have a thought: In relation to what I said about Fabrials being of Cultivation, It occurred to me that it should be possible to capture void/Odiumspren inside the gem of a Soulcaster, ergo Fabrial Soulcasting could the be the H/C/O combination magic
  16. It could be possible there is a different, yet similar, model of Transformation/Soulcasting for both Surge and Fabrial. Was it confirmed/speculated/theorised/general consensus that the original idea for Fabrials was based on the Transformation Surge itself? If so it is possible that something about the Soulcasting model for Transformation couldn't be replicated exactly into the Fabrial process. In regards to Ink classification, do we actually know what was used to make it because that may help? In relation to Ivory, it's possible his oily-esque appearance might grant some favour towards oil-based liquids. What we really need is a few more scenes from her (Jasnah's) point of view, to help give a more accurate idea.
  17. In relation to Hoser's post, it does depend on what you classify as seperate systems. A few Surges (maybe, not quite sure on this yet) and related Nahel Spren (Sylphrena and Honourspren for example) are solely Honour/Cultivation, whilst the rest are varying combinations of both. I'm under the impression that the Old Magic is of Cultivation, given the Nightwatcher's apparent give/take abilties, as well as the varied functions of Fabrials (perhaps Cultivating something from the bond between linked ones?) Voidbinding is most likely pure Odium investment but there may be something that is pure Adonalisum, as in before the arrival of the Shards, that relates to a magic system.
  18. I always saw it like this Preservations power is refilling in the pool so as the the pool becomes more full, the greater the pull and coverage of the mists. (similar to a like-calls-to-like situation/the power wants to be whole again) along with Ruin's assistance/encoaragement
  19. Honestly, I think I've lost myself too. I believe it was a massive jump to when the truth will come out about Sadeas and that Adolin will come clean about it himself, but not right away. He will try to rationalise it for a while but knowing that Dalinar will be ashamed will be the straw that breaks the chull's back and then will confess...unless Brandon brings Ialai into it with a plot about her finding out the truth and doing a big reveal
  20. Interesting idea. I like it!
  21. If that's the case, then perhaps he did start the Enefels and in turn perhaps the other two but still the big question remains: Why? Given that the Enefel evolved into collecting stories and histories, bah, it is far too early (not to mention beyond complicated) to even begin guessing at Hoid's motives
  22. Gravity Singularity, Star, Plasma Blast (would be interesting anyways) It should be mentioned that Stormlight wielders aren't immortal, especially if you get a good headshot on them, if i remember rightly.
  23. That and we know little of Rosharan culture's stances on these subjects. Another question that occurred to me which no-one has pointed out because it might have been a bit too obvious; we've been assuming that, hypothetically (from the looks of it anyway), Orders are only made up of one gender, which is understandable given our limited examples but given the size of Radiant Orders in the past, there must have been some diversity between Radiant/Spren Genders
  24. Has it actually been confirmed yet Oudeis? On-topic: A few WoBs, some a bit dated so uncertain if information is still as accurate AMOL Signing Report - Viper (Paraphrased) VIPER Ok real quick then I'll get back in line again. There's a bunch of people who follow this stuff online ... I just found out about it ... I don't want to call them a cult, but ... So anyway, at one point someone asked you if Seons were shards of— BRANDON SANDERSON Aona. VIPERDevotion ... yeah Aona, and you said that was close. My question is: are the Aons at the HEART of the Seons shards of Devotion? BRANDON SANDERSONNo, but close. VIPERBut ... I was sure ... the floating Aon at the heart, that's not a shard ... BRANDON SANDERSON(taking pity on me) You're close but a word is wrong. You're using the wrong terminology. VIPERSPLINTER. Are the Aons at the heart of Seons SPLINTERS of Aona? BRANDON SANDERSONYes. VIPERCan I post that online? BRANDON SANDERSON. . . Ok. That's fine. It's been long enough, they've earned it. All from Theoryland (seems to be my go to for the minute >.>)
  25. I was thinking more along the lines of when Kaladin was in one of his low moods, and whilst talking with Hoid, his emotions seemed a little less at the forefront and was listening with a clear head. At least, that is how I felt it came off the page anyway.
