Well, compared to the first 5 chapters of OB, RoW is an info dump right now (not complaining though). All these books usually build up steam over time, so I am now expecting the super spectacular by the end.

Vyre (Moash) is just surrendering was a complete hoodwink for Kaladin. He has Jerizen's honorblade for summoning. He can escape any time. Just doing it to get intel. Did anyone notice the "green eyes" on him? Clearly has the lighteyes thing going with the honorblade.

Look, my memory isn’t great. I just found Era 2 so forgettable that I bought SoS twice by accident. Took me like quarter a book to realise that I have read it already. I always thought that AoL was an experimental book by BS that came off in sales and so we have the fourth book to look forward to now. I think the missing girls story was an allegory to something. Either for urban legends or for things that people put off or procrastinate about. Either way, I felt there was a lot of breaking the 3rd dimension (acts of God to save the hero) with AoL and I really have forgotten the rest until the final fights in bands of mourning. Same issue with marriage thing. The BoM start was super confusing again with SoS being so forgettable. Reading Elantris? That one is ok, and I am assuming Warbreaker is next. Lightsong doing his Leaving Las Vegas routine.... Seriously, that's delayed gratification (no pun intended) if one is to get to Way of Kings ending! And WoK is pretty draggy in the middle, with Kaladin being Mr Cliche and Taravangian/Szeth being utterly bleak. If the Overlady reads this (or anyone else) - they should try "Shards of Honor" by Lois Mcmaster Bujold (part of the Vorkosigan saga). Brandon is great, and I read all his stuff, but I sort of put Elantris//Warbreaker at a lower rung compared to SA.

That wiping out individuality viewpoint is flawed. India has 25 state languages, and many more sub dialects. It still is one country. USA has a southern culture which is different from northern/coastal USA. The key to successful integration is respecting and letting differing cultures, viewpoints and languages co-exist. The more inclusive a group is, the higher is the chance of unity. Sure, foreign policy, is one that Princedoms can pass on to a central government.

I don’t know whether to jump with joy or cry.... Oathbringer was a beast of an audiobook. At 55 hours and 5 minutes, I barely got any sleep over 3 nights as I tried to finish it (got both the kindle and audiobook versions). RoW is LONGER! My sleep cycle is going to be sooooo disrupted! I was hoping it would be more like 400k, so the 50k shave would help some. Not anymore.... on the plus side it’s going to be longer ...

My point was with dressing was around the asexual bit. It’s not just women (can be men as well), I think if someone was asexual, then example would tend toward a less emphasis on clothing appearance. Average would still work, but Jasnah dresses like a celebrity. There was a scene with Navani where she complains about Jasnah growing up too soon. There is coldness there.

She’s no Nun!!! She dresses to impress. So, I just can’t see the the asexual angle. Other than that untethered scene released after WoR release, she has had no first person viewpoints. She’s got that adversarial vibe going against all women:- - Navani (Navani complained about Jasnah growing up too soon) - Shallan (didn’t want her) - Brother’s wife (wanted to assassinate) just makes me think that she’s a headstrong lesbian.

Frankly, I thought Jasnah was either bi or a lesbian. There's no single scene of her showing even a shred of interest in a man. Just makes me wonder....

Like what’s possible there...? Here’s my key questions:- * Is there a Larkin colony on Aimia that Rysn’s Larkin can lead to? * Will the Aimians stop Rysn? Or how will the Larkin interact with the Aimians, or stop them from forming shapes or stop their other powers? * Are the Island Aimians in a similar delusion like the people of Uvara? * Or will Rysn’s trip lead to that island from Uvara leading to a new land mass being identified on the map??
