I think the biggest thing that I picked so far, is the sheer size of the effort required. This leads to speculation on what will be the end of book 5 and 10. Will book 5 be the banishment of Odium or the start of the organised fight vs him. Then book 10 will be the banishment of Odium from Roshar, or even further the splintering of Odium while being chased by worldhoppers on Braize/Roshar? Right now it's a case of people running around like headless chooks.

So, bets on who will activate the second oathgate? Kaladin Jasnah Lift Renarin Dalinar Shallan again or someone else? I am betting on Kaladin as Jasnah/Lift has no viewpoints in Part 1. Interestingly, there was a WoB that we won't see so much of Kaladin in Part 1. So much so for that!

Chance for wild theorizing... Dalinar accentuates Shallan's capability. While seeking for the truth on Sadeas's death, he tugs Renarin's power showing the vision of Adolin killing Sadeas... How's that for a plot twist! Also the delayed healing for Adolin suggests nowhere near proto radiancy.

Are we seeing a pattern here? Prologue: eshonai chapter 1: Dalinar chapter 2: Adolin, Dalinar chapter 3: Dalinar (flashback) chapter 4: Dalinar chapter 5: Kaladin chapter 6: Kaladin chapter 7: Kaladin chapter 8: Shallan chapter 9: Shallan I am guessing here that chapter 10-12 will go Dalinar and Adolin's perspectives.

Now we have a whodunit in the mix.... great. Who is the butler?

And as others have noted, nobody talks to Renarin. Even though he is a bloody publically declared Radiant! Why won't he talk or be talked to??

One thing I don't get is what became of the Honorblade that Kal got from Szeth?

AWESOME READ!! I am wondering why no one else has cottoned on. Something terrible has happened at Kohlinar. The riot was one thing, but the whole city has fallen silent on spanreed... sounds omnious. They'd have the max parshmen as well.

Nice theory... although in WoR, there was a quote that everyone loved shshsh but here the author proclaims that everyone considers her a heretic.

A few underrated characters. One of Shallan's brothers ( I think Jushu?) got a viewpoint chapter in WoK. The aimian who got mugged in WoK seemed an interesting character. Taravangian seems underrated as he seemed to get a lot of kingdoms under his control, kill kings and yet seem like a side figure in the battle v Odium

I just can't believe it'll be as simple as Dalinar killed his wife. It'll look like the rehash of Shallan's story. Expecting BS to throw in a twist there.

Well, I am kinda happy hopeful that the next release won't have any released chapters. So far, of the prologue + 6 chapters, three were the ones released already. So, it might be a virgin release here unless one of the Dalinar flashback chapters is part of the 3 published on Tor in a few hours.

Not true. When he initially appeared in WoR, he appeared when Jasnah was around. Even Syl notices him during the Adolin duel. Pattern is also around Kal during the Chasm scenes, it so happens that Syl is not there. So, they don't interact, but that's about it.
