Hey, at least you had the courage to make a theory. I haven't yet.

Pattern
Yes. Too easy, compared to my last one.

Awesome idea!
My only suggestion for now is to switch 5 and 6.

According to chapters 42 and 64 of WoK, his mindwipe is the curse.
That's from the Coppermind.

You may accept cookies from any panda offering it to you, so long as they aren't DA cookies.
Do you have a favourite book by Sanderson? Do you have friends already on the forum?
Arthur, did you notice that another panda just joined?
Also, welcome home! Have an up vote and a bamboo cookie!

You have an interesting definition of "main character," my friend. Out of curiosity, do you believe Siri or Susebron to be the main character of their sections of Warbreaker? Of both Galladon and Demoux, I can understand someone arguing Demoux is not a main character, but I'm honestly surprised you do not consider Galladon to be one. If it weren't for Galladon, the Elantris story would have never even happened. Galladon played such a major role throughout the book, even if the POVs were Raoden, Sarene, and Hrathen.
I'm sorry about Galladon. I was thinking of someone else. Demoux is not a main character. Siri and Susebron, I believe, both are.
Edit: What I should have said originally is that none of the characters that are the main focus of a book have turned out to be Worldhoppers. I wouldn't consider even Galladon to be the main focus of his book.

I have nothing against hitting someone with a book but using it to stop bullets is a no go.
No kidding.

Thank you guys so much for all the answers!
I am going to read Mistborn again before asking any more dumb questions, but I'll be back on this thread in a couple of days, probably.

If the Honorblades are the physical aspect of Honor, that could explain why Szeth runs through Stormlight faster when using one.

Thanks.
What do you mean when you say that bonds are the focus?

I think that quote from Brandon did answer my question. He said that everyone has Allomantic potential, but it's buried. To me, that implies that when one Snaps, the "gateway" to be able to use a particular metal opens. Am I reading that right?
Also, is there anything to suggest that a lerasium Mistborn, such as Elend, burns through metals faster than normal?

Sazed?
Siri's and Vivenna's father, whose name I forgot?
EDIT I missed the last couple pages, so here's my actual guess: Kelsier dying?
We know it's on Scadrial, so probably not Siri and Vivenna's father.

This post has two parts:
Part One: Gateways
On Scadrial, each Misting, Ferring, Twinborn, or Mistborn is given access to one or more metals. This then provides the “gateway,” “pattern,” or “form” for the Investiture. These “gateways” are woven into the SpiritWeb or the sDNA, whichever you prefer. But if one eats a bead of lerasium, one becomes a Mistborn.
So, are “gateways” inherent (just closed) to everyone’s sDNA and they just have to be opened up by Preservation, or are the “gateways” created by Preservation when someone becomes a Misting or Mistborn?
Part Two: Shardic Influence
This one is pretty simple. (I hope)
Do Shards have influence outside their own planet or system?
Sazed caught the barest hint of Adonalsium and the Shattering (paraphrase). According to WoB, he also knew about the other planets, but had no desire to travel to them.
Did Sazed know these things because the Shards just knew that stuff, or because they are still somewhat connected to the other Shards?
Basically, I’m trying to find out if, say, the influence of Endowment could possibly be felt on, say, Scadrial.

you know i think this became a be careful what you wish for game instead of a boon/bane game since the nightwatcers banes aren't always linked to the wish
It was like this from the beginning.

Is there a way to force Spren to bond? The Parshendi used to hum/sing to attract the right spren to change their form during a Highstorm but now they capture the Spren in Gem Stones. Do you think the Son's of Honor or the Ghostbloods are going to make a type of Surgebinder?
During the highstorm, the writing seemed to imply that the spren was the one forcing the form upon Eshonai.
That says to me that there is choice involved for both parties.
I'm going to try to find WoB on this.

No... Could you explain that guess? Just curious what made you say that.
In retrospect, it wasn't a good one, but I was just thinking of how Lightsong and Blushweaver are always bantering back and forth, and then the priests betray their gods.

Ask if a Mistborn who became one by eating a bead of lerasium would burn through metals faster.
