  1. I was there at 4 pm and already got my books signed (I got TWO doomslug stickers for my Kaladin shirt ). And my question didn't get a RAFO which makes me veeeeeeery excited.
  2. I'm packing up (I filled up a whole hiking backpack with books. Only with SA 1-3, Edgedancer and MB era 1) and will be leaving soon for Stuttgart. I am very excited right now! Will have to think about some of my questions though, but I got two I'd really like to ask.
  3. Yep, no tickets for Stuttgart. I know the bookstore well, I was there at a signing & reading with Peter V. Brett a year ago and there were no tickets. I was a little too late though and didn't get a seat, so I had to stand up. I will be very early this time though!
  4. Dolphins are great, and there are two of them! 8/10.
  5. I always read the last part, "The Silence Above" as a hint towards the revelation that Honor is dead, thus "above", where deities usually are placed, no one's left. If I remember correctly (don't have the book on me rn), part three of TWoK is "Dying", which refers to Kaladin almost dying in the Highstorm?
  6. I am going to bring my whole collection, right now consisting of MB era 1, SA 1-3 (HC) and Edgedancer. I'll even by a new backpack today so I can carry them properly I'm pretty pissed right now at public transportation (looking at you @Deutsch Bahn). I live a 40 minute train ride from Stuttgart and if I take the train I'll have to pay 20 € to get there and back. By bus it's cheaper but waaaaay longer, like 2,5 hours. I have the day off but I got better things to do than spend the entire day on the bus. Hmpf. I could take the car, but I don't know a worse city to drive in than Stuttgart. It's a nightmare.
  7. TBH Roshar is a world where I fully believe that each and every single person living there must be broken in some way to survive.
  8. With huuuuuuuuge amounts of money to get the CGI right, like, really really right, then live action would be cool. Otherwise, I'm for an animated series, partly also because then we wouldn't have the problem of aging actors. If life action, then please no sooner than at least 7-8 books in.
  9. I'm going to see it again tonight!!!
  10. Toaster lookgs good, very elegant, silver and black and quite the slim line, not as chunky as our old one. The angle is not to its advantage unfortunately. 7/10.
  11. One of my favourite quotes ever is from The Way of Kings: Also this one from Mark Lawrence's Prince of Thorns: Also, from the song "Ich bin ein wahrer satan" ("I am a true satan") by the German band ASP Also, due to current cinematic events (Avengers: Endgame spoiler):
  12. Is this Szeth in a rad costume? 11/10! He's the most non-generic cat I've ever known, he was just trying to look serious for the pic (Just changed my avatar for something more in-character)
  13. Iron Man 2. Started a complete MCU rewatch (minus The Incredible Hulk) after Endgame last week. Not far along the way yet
  14. Every dragon gets an automatic 10/10 from me.
  15. The *best* is most likely Black Panther, but in my personal ranking it's a tie between all the Avengers movies (yes, even AoU, I love it!), Iron Man 1+3 (not 2, but 3, don't judge me!), Thor 3, Doctor Strange, Homecoming, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Winter Soldier. I don't hate any of the movies and enjoyed all of them. Only Civil War did more wrong than right, so boo that.
  16. mafah'liki (Rock called Syl this. Seems to be a respectful name for spren?)
  17. Looks very mighty, wow, -3 points for being scary but +1 for coolness (spikes look like sunglasses from this angle) so have 8/10.
  18. Aaaaand we hit double digits. What is that man doing right now? Hexing the keyboard?
  19. First thought is Renarin, Lift and Jasnah, but I guess I don't have to worry about any of them, they'll likely get their time in the back five. So I go for Rlain, mostly.
  20. Now it's already at 8%!
  21. I've seen it. It's not even been twelve hours (went to the midnight screening) and I got about 4 hours of sleep before going to work. I'm dead tired, emotionally exhausted and I loved it. It was a wild rollercoaster with some weaknesses, but I loved it still
  22. When you dream about seeing the Stormlight 4 progress bar jump up to 7 % and then look at it in the morning and are disapointed that it's still at 5.
