  1. Well... I was going to propose that we ceased using the lynch, and let the game play itself out through actions at this point - the lynch acts mow as nothing more than a Russian roulette, and any of you could very well be targeted by it next turn. With all due respect, Bugsy, you already know my role, and that it isn't metapod or butterfree...
  2. Apologies, Alv, but as the only other player with a vote currently on them, I'm going to join the chorus and add mine to you. Alv.
  3. Whilst Stink may have that sort of sense of humour, I'd bet on Aman not sharing it. I think it more likely that Alv is actually a diglett or fearow, can dig/fly, and is trying to avoid the lynch whilst he recharges this cycle.
  4. @Metacognition, @Magestar, Attacking TheSilverDragon might be a little difficult, if only because he happens to be already dead...
  5. I'm terribly sorry if I overstep civility here, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more than a little annoyed now. This is the second time in less than a month that (incidently also on C2), someone has lied about my role in an attempt to get me lynched. In LG23, it was, whilst irritating, understandable to a degree - Aman had legitimate suspicions about me. I wholly disagree with it as a strategy, and believe it to undermine the atmosphere of the subforum, but can at least understand why he did it. This game, however, I am seriously frustrated. Unless Elenion has either not been bothered to read his PM properly, or is too ashamed to admit he misread it before making his first accusation, I cannot see a reason for such an argument short of spite. It's not an accusation easy to refute, particularly when no one will listen to the many voices explaining how what I am accused of is not even possible. I will therefore ask that if I am lynched, you all vote on Elenion without hesitation. Lying about this sort of thing is not at all fun for the player targeted, and is definitely not something I think we want to see spreading across future games if we want to maintain the atmosphere that makes our forum special. By immediately lynching those players who use such a tactic, we can set a precedent, and ensure this does not occur.
  6. 1) I'm glad that acting on principle rather than sound strategy gets me your distrust, Meta. I would point to my track record in recent games - particularly LG22 and MR15 as evidence that I am prepared to do this regularly. 2) More importantly, Elenion's argument is absolute fabrication. I was hit by a single attack last night - whether you or Meta I don't know, and most definitely cannot reflect attacks. I can see two possible reasons for Elenion's claim. The first - and most benign is that he's simply confused - that he's misread someone else attacking him as my having reflected his damage. Alternatively, Elenion is intentionally picking a target who is demonstratively opposed to his alliance, and with a proven record of challenging him on dictatorial gameplay, and is lying in an attempt to have me lynched. This I see as far more likely. Consequently, I'm going to vote for Elenion.
  7. I must say, I wholeheartedly support Meta here. The voting blocks seem to go against the spirit of the game, and are not something I can support. I think it wrong that Meta has received so many votes for what I see as a perfectly valid, and sensible point. Whilst for now, I shall vote Alv, I will endeavour to vote against this grouping in the future, where ever possible.
  8. @Amanuensis, it's almost certainly too late, but I'm in a half-asleep haze - with an horrifically early flight this morning, and so have decided to make an argument on behalf of @Straw. Regardless of his alignment this game, I think it's undeniable that his attitude to the game, and the effort put in are greater than in any other game I've seen him play. I would argue that this is behaviour we ought to be doing absolutely everything we can to encourage - rather than react by lynching him. Although I'm more suspicious of Magestar, I'm going to put my vote on Elenion.
  9. Action 1: Marrying Livia Tekiel into House Wilson, in return for Elesha Wilson being married to my heir, Locke Tekiel
  10. @Amanuensis, I'm on mobile, so forgive me for not quoting your post - instead I'm just going to refer to parts of it and respond. I'll start with your stance on ties - that you'll be suspicious of anyone who instigates them, and believe them to be a bad think. I'll say now that I think there is every chance that I'll instigate a tie during this game - you say that the risk of a villager dying is to significant - perhaps, but that risk exists whenever we lynch anyway. Whilst there is a greater risk that we do lynch an innocent with two eliminators being both up to be lynched is an unlikely occurance, I believe that the more complete picture we can gain of a lynch through understanding both alignments can be worth it. Regarding lurkers, whilst I do agree it ought to be discouraged, I think that a focus on lurkers is unhelpful - it isn't alignment indicative for many players, and an organised campaign against lurking provides a fantastic opportunity for distracting the lynch from more serious discussion. I'd also point out that playstyles do differ, and that we can't expect every player - indeed, most players, to be as active as you are, or to post as frequently. I prefer, for example, to not immediately put down my thoughts on every development, and instead to think about the thread - which entails watching it and often not posting. Equally, when I have little time, I try to keep up with the thread and post later - reading the thread when I can is helpful in keeping on track and making more informed posts upon my return. Regarding your advice to roles, I'll only comment to express some disagreement with your advice to Legionnaires. Whilst they certainly can be used as a protective role, doing so to protect experienced players comes at a cost of removing experienced voices from the thread every other turn, delaying full analysis of the lynch. You're right - detainment by a legionnaire doesn't prevent the eliminators making a kill - but it does prevent an evil player using a role ability, and gives the legionnaire an opportunity to get their reactions in real time. As such, I'd advocate that legionnaires target those they believe to be suspicious, and leave it to the bodyguards to protect the players most likely to be attacked.
  11. @Straw, Aman, whilst potentially helpful, is still an eliminator - and so whichever of Elenion or I you choose, I'd strongly caution you against choosing him and in so doing giving him roles
  12. I'm actually inclined to believe Aman on this - I trust that his response to Bard's post was genuine - it certainly feels genuine. Bard, given there exist reasons to lynch Aman anyway, I'd advise not making up information. Having been on the receiving end of this in LG23, I can assure you that it isn't pleasant - and here there is far less justification than there was then.
  13. What can I say? Locke doesn't exactly have a reputation for being the most... Emotionally stable individual, and your innocence and influence over the Dula represents a barrier in my attempts to take over the senate and rule as a tyrant work for the people in their own interests. Note: I am a Dula - just RP
