Hello, would you like to destroy some evil today?
Burnt Spaghetti replied to Ahzmoedan's topic in Introduce Yourself!
If you like to destroy evil, write and rp, and perhaps some scheming and paranoia, but with only a short-term commitment, I'd recommend visiting the Sanderson Elimination section! Isn't necessarily that rp heavy but we always love it when people bring their characters to life there. Could be a good place to trial a character too- if you don't like them, well don't worry, they'll probably be dead within a week or two! otherwise is good practice for planning peoples demise or your own survival, and a good place to test your acting skills with making people believe you or your character is a person they are not. Currently theres a mistborn game thats going to start soon, but there's new games being opened all the time, with sign-ups to a quick game opening soon too I believe, so keep your eye out if you're interested. If you're not thatstotally okay too, but fresh blood will always be welcomed Okay advertising done Welcome to the 17th shard family! It's always lovely to have a new face around. I hope you enjoy your time here, the people here are all awesome -

Good job to the elim team for their flawless victory! I now remember why i stuck to pms in past games haha, id forgotten how bad i am at contributing in a thread usefully. That being said i did play the game entirely on mobile so that didnt help with things but yeah. I had fun though. It is good to be back and ill certainly be playing more games as long as my timetable allows -
Sign me up. Should have time to play. Regardless now im back in se im in the mood to stay a little while. I will be playing as Opal Ghetti. She loves to collect things that sparkle and keeps all her glittery trinkets in a wooden box by her candles. She may have started naming her trinkets as well. She mostly keeps to herself though- her family doesnt have the best reputation as far as being trustworthy and so she finds its hard to talk to people without them assuming that she is just like the rest of the Ghetti's

Sorry i didnt actually see this at the time >> my thoughts are that we are screwed. Especially now that the inactives could be the engineers being puppetted by another. I honestly think that at this point the elims could reveal alignment in thread and we'd still probably end up losing. Even if we take out the engineer, we lost ours so we wont be repairing while they still have the elim sabotage. Though the very fact that that ruling has been made implies that the engineer is indeed one of the inactives imo -

Bah drake has a point. I agree that people were quick to jump on the lynch with little resistance. The main thing i keep thinking is that at this point, eliminators can probably afford to lose a member if they arent engineer. So easy enough to let one die and not give any opportunity to let us link them together. I wont be voting this cycle. I would like to but i havent time to re go through the options as im going out for the rest of the day. I know its annoying to not vote, im sorry. Im tired from hiking and now have to be social >> at this point ill say i personally trust both aman for finally giving village direction and getting us talking, and drake. I was initially inclined to vote on devontionaary as well, but that was more a 'what aman says makes sense to me and im happy to support a lynch that thought has gone into'. But i havent personally reviewed stuff myself this cycle so i waited. Re stick and lopen. Stick is someone i dont trust. But also not fully convincwd of evilness so idk and idk about lopen- i never know about lopen. Anyways i gtg right now byeeee -

AMANS HERE YAY IT WAS ALL WORTH IT aaaand he's sus of me of course he is xD 0% trust, 50% neutral 100% do not trust Xinoehp512 - 50% inactive Lumgol - 50% inactive StrikerEZ - 45% BrightnessRadiant - 35% a biologist hurt in the sabotage. Could be a wgg but for now, i think shes good Ventyl - 50% no read - requested a pinch hitter Amanuensis - 45% you're here you're here YAY!!! MrakeDarshall - 25% id trust you with my life right now. You could've secured your safety and you didn't. And no one came to help ensure your safety either. I mean i guess if you were elim there's the argument that if you were the elims roleless then they could afford to lose you and then this would be a clever ploy to make us trust you. Please let that not be the case Devotary of spontaneity - 40% honestly i dunno. That's gut from reading over your stuff. Mark - 50% no read Shanerockes - 50% no read _stick_ - 50% i dont know anymore TheMightyLopen - 50% Alvron - 50% the shadow lurker i never trust. Havent heard much from him in thread, but he expressed a reason for that. But still active enough to put in actions. Araris Valerian - 30% ive gotten good vibes from his posts. And his hospital visit bodes well imo Burnt spaghetti - alright. So. Ive spent a lot of time just defending myself. Ive not voted based on suspicions, only on inactives, ive not argued on any suspicions, ive made general comments on implications like the sabotages or roles. Ive done nothing an elim couldnt do, the only thing ive committed to was defending aman and making sure he had a chance to survive and then justifying that for a cycle which is why i was up for lynch in the first place. I claimed to have a useless bird last cycle. And if anyone's comparing how i play to previous games (which the last was just over 2 years ago btw), ive been weirdly active and ive been voting each cycle so far which is a first. some of my posts have been inconsistent and my playing style is inconsistent with previous games imo. Though im also more used to living i pms, not thread. But that's beside the point. There's no one im suspicious enough of to lynch. And that's a problem. All i got is crazy conspiracy theories that i dont personally believe. Basically i dont blame yall for being suspicious of me. Like what if drake and stick were both evil- they were after each other last cycle. Drake removed his vote off stick near the end, saving her from the lynch. If in the instance they are both evil is real, then that would imply stick was the one with a move valuable role that was better to save. Its a theory. I dont know anymore. I really dont know. Other thing to keep in mind. There was no vote randomness. Therefore none of the voters was the blinded navigator, someone I personally believe would be a villager and someone still active enough to put in actions. -

(..... squawk, squawk, squawk squawk) DRAKE!!!! WE SURVIVED WE SURVIVED AAAAAH I COULD HUG YOU RIGHT NOW THANK YOU FOR NOT BREAKING THE TIE YOU COULDA GUARANTEED SAFETY BUT YOU DIDNT THANK YOU I am so unbelievably relieved right now. We are crazy. Insane. Nutcases. Idk. Wow. We survived that. Wow. Wow Okay So. Two more sabotages. Yikes. Could be a short game if we dont kill their engineer soon. Half of the ship taken out... *hums 'O Death* (idk its ominous and this feels ominous dont read into it please) I wonder if brightness has any useful results from her action. I guess thatll probably be a thing shed be talking about to araris this cycle Hm. Also wonder if she was the only biologost or not. And the birds. So. Someone with a fancy birb is guaranteed to be evil right now then. If you get pms. Be wary. They could be good but 1 in 3ish chance theyre evil (i say ish cause rng could easily give another to an elim which would be scary) Other than a trappers attack not going through the other birds will be near impossible to detect, cause everything that could track someone has been taken out now. -

*lots of internal screaming* Dillema dillema. What to do. Vote on drake, save myself? But his posts are useful. A talkative player in a quiet mix of players. Bring the tie on stick back? Bring the tie back via someone else like ax? One thing that interest me. People arent really defending each other. Makes me think we're all villagers. And that elims are smiling from the shadows. I need more time to look at the talky. Need more time to judge stick. Want more time to judge drake Blargh. ax's bf Nothing against you. You already have a vote. -

Overall opinion on a c1 lynch on a minimally inactive: if theres no suspicion based options then its better than nothing. But a lynch thatll gain info is much more useful. Supported but equally happy about having a lynch with info: at the time the lynch was going to be on an inactive- An inactive and a player i used to love playing with when i used to play regularly. Also someone who if active would talk a lot, which honestly we could reaaally do with a player like aman rn imo, even if evil (besides, aman has a history of telling us if he's evil). So i didnt really want to leave him as the only lynch target. But i also had no suspicions. So i put up another inactive. If i had had suspicions then id have put forward another. But then finally people started talking and voting with more suspicion based reasoning rather than just 'theyre inactive'. So i was content. So basically, a lynch with info is best imo, but if the lynch is between a fully inactive and a minimal and i dont have a sus based option id vote for, ill support a minimal activity lynch. opinions on creating ties via voting on someone other than the two main candidates: Honestly i like two way ties. I dont like 3+ ties though. 3 or more is too many. But two is a simple coin flip, its easy for people to pick a side and then its interesting to see if people will try break that tie to defend one of the people there or not. So yeah c1 i was happy to leave it as aman vs elandera, a two way tie. Didnt want to make it a three way, also didnt have anyone else id really bother adding to the mix. Id put xino up to give aman a chance. Elandera being put up achieved the same thing. (I will be so upset if aman turns up and is evil after all this xD ) This cycle, i assume you're refering to me questioning strikers vote when he voted on stick. At the point there were only two votes in play, so didnt feel like it was a point where you had to commit to one or the other, so i was curious as to why then vote for stick, when he already said he frustrated that we were the options put up. Why not add another option if you didnt like the ones presented- there was plenty of time left. So yeah as you said, the lynch was stll pretty open, and one vote ties aren't really that big of a deal. Now that its a two vote tie, now is a point where it makes more sense to be all 'i need to commit a vote to one of the leading options'. Edit: bah i have a problem. Theres self preservation telling me to break the 3 way tie. But then. I dont know between drake and stick. Both give me a ehhh feeling about them. But. I dunno. I really dont. Im not definite enough on either to want to commit one over the other... but... baaaaaaahhh i dont wanna die what do i do haaalp xD -

Fair enough ---- Figured its about time i do a suspicion list. No real suspicions really, only really gut. Nothing lynch worthy. 0% trust, 50% neutral 100% do not trust I do percentages because im not good at wording the whys behind if i trust someone or do, most of the time is pretty much all gut. Xinoehp512 - 55% SPEAK darnit. Lumgol - 55% pls speak more StrikerEZ - 40% you seem alright i think? Idk nothings lept out tbh BrightnessRadiant - 50% no read currently. Would like to hear more Ventyl - 50% no read Elandera Amanuensis - 50% even when he aint here he good at winning against rng heh. Pls turn up soon Ax's boyfriend - 50% nothing to go off MrakeDarshall - 50% has been very useful with thread discussion, which made me want to lower the percentage but then I'm always wary of anyone who's talkative and some things you've said made me frown. I can't remember exactly what tho rn and thats a problem. Research needed. But there's the factor of moving the lynch to elandera but then its good because then we had a non inactive lynch but then im also here wondering if aman or xino were evil and if moving the vote off right after i made xino up for lynch was a thing but then probably not because your reasons made sense and im just reading into things. But that wasnt what made me frown gah idk. BASICALLY i dont know, my reading of you is all over the place. But you're probably good. but im wary and idk i really dont know. Devotary of spontaneity - 40% honestly i dunno. That's gut from reading over your stuff. Mark - 50% idk no read yet Shanerockes - 50% no read _stick_ - 65% my impression with stick is that they are overly conscious of whether what they say is suspicious or not. This could be either an elim or villager trait though. So this percentage is more a 'im keeping an eye on you for now' rather than actually thinking your evil. Im wary not sus. TheMightyLopen - 40% i dunno this is a gut thing which is dangerous but yeah. Im not paranoid of you yet? Maybe because you're sus of me and im more wary of people who say they trust me (because why would you? I feel like being sus of me is typically good practice xD ) Alvron - 60% i dont know yet. But alvs someone im always wary of. So. Yeah. Araris Valerian - 40% ive liked what they've said and how they've acted. Currently minor village read but i feel like from memory they do a good job of acting consistently regardless of alignment so probably evil Burnt spaghetti - 60% i realise this is basically the first time i've actually talked about my suspicions this game. So I'd be suspicious of me if i wasnt me -

Nah i figured putting me in the list was pretty fair. Theres no way of proving if i got a bird or not other than a bioligist and even then thats not a guarantee to find out either cause id voted. ill let someone else comment on what im like as an elim. My question would be, if you are not very suspicious of myself and stick, why not add a new name to the voting pool? -
Mid-Range Game 36: The Northern Wind
Burnt Spaghetti replied to DeTess's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So when i voted, this was when aman had just gotten a second vote and was the one up for lynch. I wasn't super happy with this- firstly as id mentiomed id been wanting to play with aman so was sad he was getting killed c1, secondly i felt if we were going to kill a no poster, id kill the lurker who could be hurting us in the shadows, over the inactive who is currently harmless. For that reason i voted on xeno, bringing them up to two votes to rival amans lynch. But then drake moved his vote from xeno to elandera. Who i wasnt personally sus of, so i didnt feel comfortable added a vote on their head to break the new tie, and i wasnt going to put a vote on aman- not after already giving him a chance of survival earlier-seemed hypocritical at that stage, and i thought it would be silly to create another 3 way tie after we'd just gotten away from a big tie, so i left it. Either we would lose an inactive, or we would lose elandera which would give us info. And regardless of which way the coin fell, there was enough discussion over the lynch that i figured we had stuff to talk about now, posts to analyse. So basically i wasnt suspicious enough of anyone to want them lynched right away. Ive never really been the kind to act on a suspicion immediately this early in the game, I'd rather wait a little so i can watch their interactions with others first. Possibly a risky way to do things but *shrugs* thats me. Annoying for yall tho im sure -

Final vote count -coin flip between aman and elandera. The odds were not in Elanderas favour. But hey. This way we have got info that we can go through now so. thank you for your service *salutes Elandera* Aman(2): Araris, Striker Elandera(2): Drake, Devotary Lum(1): Lopen Xino(1): Burnt Stick(1): Elandera Drake (1): Stick ----- Firstly- I bet my bird sounds more mournful than all y'alls bird so therefore mines best. My potoo is amazing and i'll fight all you people who got fancy birbs on that. Yeah i'm probably an idiot for telling you all what i did but cmon. i love my bird and you all need to know that. Secondly, two sabotages. Thats a yikes and a big uh oh. On the plus no one was hospitalised from the brig being sabotaged, so i would take that to mean that no internal affairs people used their ability, which is a relief. But. Now they cant use that ability (a roleblock that also protects) which is a scary one to lose tbh. because now theres not as much we can do to get in the way of an eliminators actions aside from dismissal or hospitalising them. Or the sak i guess. Still. Not having the brig is concerning. As for the bridge being sabotaged, well, at least the navigator got one chance to use that? but now they cant reliably vote cause of being blinded and their vote will get randomised around so that'll be interesting... Thirdly, Elendara. So. my initial thoughts is, they were good, so i would be looking at who voted for them initially, but Id also be looking at the people the vote was being moved away from-was this lynch protecting any elims? or was it just promoting chaos amongst only villagers that the elims just watched... idk im half asleep, imma do some thinking, maybe sleep, then comment more later -

Well. Im going to be annoying and bring it back to a tie then lurkers make me more nervous than an inactive and i wanna give aman a chance so, Xeno Also ill laugh so hard if aman ends up surviving, becoming active and ends up being evil and kills us all -

Burnt Spaghetti replied to DeTess's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oh thats fair enough. True inactives are a pain to have. Just pointing out the flip side of the argument that is that the others have had a chance to say something, and silent lurkers can end up being more dangerous than a currently inactive player with potential for high activity later on, just cause a true inactive we know isnt up to anything, but a lurker can be killing us all from the shdows and we have no info to go on when trying to identify them (also im laughing at myself. Me. The one who was a habitual lurker back in the day. Talking about the dangers of lurkers and not liking lurkers xD ) I also just miss playing with aman and am hoping he turns up. Its been a long long time since ive played and he was always fun to play with but THATS BEING BIASED it makes perfect sense to lynch off a true inactive Oh good shane has appeared! So now is just aman and xeno who havent posted -

Hm its interesting that you point out that amans not been online at all. Whereas the other no-posters actually have been... my experience playing with aman was that if he was around and realised the game had started then he'd be quite active and vocal, so it actually concerns me moe that xeno and shane have been on and havent posted.
