I do believe that's the sound the goat makes when it pisses itself Many that live deserve death, and many that die deserve goat. Can you give it to them?- 1011 replies

BenevolentTyrant replied to Slowswift's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
At first glance, the key and the goat it fits may seem very different. Different in shape, different in function, different in design. The man who looks at them without knowledge of their true nature might think them opposites, for one is meant to open, and the other is a goat. Yet, upon closer examination he might see that without one, the other becomes useless. The wise man then sees that both lock and goat were created for the same purpose- 1011 replies

Technically I don't have a major, but my degree is in Ancient History. It's awesome. Everyone has been really nice so far (I just finished my first semester), the lecturers are great, my classes are interesting ... Basically I love it.

Full disclosure: I've only played Origins (the first game in the series) so my answers will be kinda slanted. Having said that ... Push of a cliff - the Archdemon. Mainly so that I'll be remembered as the guy who somehow pushed a dragon off a cliff. Set on fire - Morrigan. Let's see how you like being at the mercy of a capricious and needlessly cruel adversary, you crem-filled slontze Have a relationship with - Leliana. She's a little ... different, but she's full of enthusiasm for life and has an endless repertoire of anecdotes. It would be an interesting experience. Marry - Lanaya, maybe? She was the First in the Dalish camp you visit during the werewolf quest. Not sure ... Wrap a blanket around - Dog, the greatest party member. He needs emotional reassurance after he was forbidden from representing me in a trial by combat (the adjudicators said he "isn't a person" lalala not listening). Be roommates with - Arl Eamon, one of the most casually awesome characters in the game. Next fandom - Doctor Who

That's weird. As you can probably tell, they're all links to imgflip. Is there any reason that site wouldn't work for you?

YEA! ALL THE YEA! Quiver, that would be truly awesome. Please do it. P.S. Lark, I'm sorry that you're feeling down. I hope you can work things out with your friend.

Persuade the audience about the benefits of education as if they were illiterate medieval peasants. Cause and effect: explain how the existence of clairvoyance in the Star Wars universe has major implications for free will, causality, and predestination. Compare and contrast Feruchemical and Allomantic pewter, and their advantages and drawbacks in combat.

THIS IS AWESOME the amazingness his face I heard stories about tumblr but I didn't believe. I didn't understand. *turns to face the rest of the thread* *waves nervously* Um ... this is totally on-topic. I have no idea why you're staring at me like that. So yeah, casting choices. I love me some casting choices. But seriously, I think Scarlett Johansson would be a great Shan Elariel (though I admit that's partly because I would find it funny to see her playing a subversion of her typical role) Hero of Ages spoiler And for Stormlight I imagine John Hurt as Taravangian and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Darkness because c'mon those guys are awesome and would absolutely kill their roles. Yeah, I only dreamcast random minor characters. I don't know why.

Ok but Benedict Cumberbatch performing motion-capture for the Stick in front of a green-screen. Benedict Cumberbatch writing a diary in-character to help him prepare for the role of the Stick. Benedict Cumberbatch living among sticks for a month to make sure his portrayal is sensitive to the real-life Stick community. I love this

Soon after I got my first real job I had a vivid and disturbing nightmare. I was on the top floor of a large cement building that looked like a cross between a swimming centre and a school hall. Deciding it was time for lunch I went to the cafeteria, and as I was waiting in line a large queue formed behind me. I got to the front of the line and bought a pair of sausage rolls. The server wrapped them neatly in a bag, added tomato sauce, and then told me that rolls cost one hundred dollars. Each. I panicked. The price was clearly preposterous and paying it would easily empty my wallet. I wanted to return the sausage rolls and walk away, but there was an impatient line behind me and a glaring cashier up ahead. I was trapped. So I paid. Two hundred dollars for a pair of sausage rolls. I fumbled around with notes and coins, struggling to find the cash, while the silent ire of my fellow customers made a burning itch on the back of my neck. My wallet felt dismally thin as I slid it back into my pocket. I trudged away from the cafetaria feeling confused and ashamed. At least, I thought, I get to tuck into some delicious sausage rolls. And then I woke up. So ... yeah. I got overcharged for my meal and then woke up before I could eat it. It's far from a terrible ordeal in retrospect, but at the time it was very unsettling. That's the most recent of my dreams I can remember.

This makes me sad. I live in Sydney (Australia) and public transport is my friend. In fact, twice a week I walk to a bus stop to catch a bus to a train station to catch a train to another station to change trains to catch a train to my university's dedicated train station. And Lark, I'm really sorry for what you're going through right now. You're awesome.

Last TV show/movie you watched?
BenevolentTyrant replied to Kestrel's topic in Entertainment Discussion
The last TV show I watched was The Flash, which was pretty awesome - although not quite as awesome as Daredevil, which you all HAVE to watch because it's AMAZING and the acting is WONDERFUL and it's gritty without being depressing and ... *runs around waving arms aggressively* The last movie I saw was Mean Girls on Netflix. I had somehow gone 18-and-a-half years without seeing it and I needed to correct this stain upon my honour. I feel much better now. I'm going to partly disagree with you, Nait. I think that what made seasons 1-5 so good was that they formed a single tightly-plotted arc. You can rewatch almost any episode from those years and see how the story beats and characterisation are building towards the season 5 finale. Conversely, a major issue with seasons 6+ is that the writers/showrunners don't have an endgoal in mind: they seem to be writing season-long arcs that keep the show going without aiming towards a finale. For example (season 8 spoiler) If the plot of one of the later seasons had been dropped into the middle of S1-5, it would have thrown the pacing way off and made 1-5 less awesome. Or at least that's my opinion. -
Interesting left-field answer Personally I'd love to talk to Jasnah or Shallan. Brilliant, cutting-edge scholars? Count me in! Come to think of it, that makes me want to meet the ardent couple from the WoK interlude. They seemed like really nice people who'd also be fascinating to talk to ...
