Your prime invincibility is a bit if a paradox- if they die an hour before trying to kill you, then they never can try, and thus there is no point an hour before then for your power to kill them. also, you can't pick a weakness and then say it can't affect you logically, if your PI can tell the future and trace kill attempts back an hour, it can also tell when a kill attempt would be made that triggers your weakness. Therefore, the power is inactive for that attempt, meaning that they would not die an hour before trying to kill you. Otherwise how is your weakness even triggered? You lose your powers when looking at a mirror, but anyone who would try to kill you in that time died an hour ago anyway? plus what amull said.

I'll add my voice to the already answered questions because yolo 1. I think it only counts if they expose themselves by choice. ie: Megan running into the burning building. 2. If you are referring to her huge burst of power after being resurrected, she was always boosted in that way after resurrecting, except more evil as well. Without the corruption, she got a temporary power-up without the extra hit of evil. 3. From what we've seen, usually the latter. Sourcefield, Mitosis and Steelheart all reacted with rage when their weaknesses were triggered, and went after the ones doing it with a vengeance. This makes sense- if whoever knows their weakness is allowed to live, then they are at risk and the information can spread to anyone- they would never sleep soundly again. Also note the extreme lengths Steelheart and Mitosis went to/would have gone to to keep their weaknesses a secret (extensive propaganda and threatening to wipe out Newcago on the off chance they had heard any of the songs, respectively). Fortuity, however, just ran- although his weakness itself was not triggered, just partially. Newton also ran, although she had lost any ability to fight David in the situation they were in. It seems like as long as an Epic CAN fight back, and use their powers partially or fully, they will usually do so. If not, they will run like the cowards they are 4. like everyone else said, we don't know.

Hahaha yeah, things move slowly around here Converter is still safely frozen, awaiting rescue. We decided that Iconoclast couldn't do it himself, so it will have to be Phoenix, Insight or both who does it. A post detailing her thoughts about these events would be appreciated if you are willing I might get an Atrophy post up soon, actually. See what he thinks about all of this Edit: Random Illuminati hey Random, you still around? Haven't heard from you much? Has anyone heard from Random lately?

@18th Shard: sorry that I didn't attack Phoenix, I wasn't sure where he was I can attack him in a bit though, when Icon gets back from the fields. I see what you mean, but Astoria is a pretty small town, 10'000 people pre-Calamity. It has 1/60th Portlands population and 1/5th of Corvallis'. Sure Oregon has been cursed with lots more Epics than normal, but that can only take us so far. yeah like Blaze said, Silver has been absent for a while.

Pertinent Information and Statistics As has been suggested, I have decided to compile a number of statistics for each location currently in the RP. While each player has their own ideas and headcanons, this list pins down in a rougher, more accurate way the populations of each city. All of this is subject to change and based on mostly my personal thoughts, musings and suppositions. My reasoning for each number is supplied in a spoiler, and all of them are completely open to change as I receive feedback. This mostly comes from my obsessive drive to world-build and depict things in detail. I don't want to come across as dictating anything to anyone. Ultimately this list is mostly for myself, and whomever else wants to pay attention to it. I hope that between all of us, we can find common ground and all agree on the rough numbers, at least. My personal ideas on the Epic/human populations in each city: Portland: *very tentative Epics: Roughly 150. Humans: Roughly 50'000. Corvallis: Epics: Roughly 300. Humans: Roughly 40'000 Astoria: Epics: About 30. Humans: 10'000 or so. The Dalles: Epics: Roughly 20 Humans: 20'000 Salem: *note, very tentative Epics: Perhaps 16 full-time, and another 100 at any given time. Humans: Roughly 20'000.

Iconoclast scampered down the road, doing his best to imitate a vanilla servant on an errand for their master. As the morning progressed, more and more people filled the streets, almost all vanillas. He noticed some groups of vanillas were being herded into several large police vans by what looked like security officials, bearing cudgels and shock-batons. "Hmmm.... curious." He thought aloud to himself. Approaching one of these overseers, Iconoclast asked in his most naive and innocent-sounding voice, "Excuse me, sir, but where are those people going? Shouldn't they be off to serve their Epics?" The overseer grimaced. "Imbecile. Who do you think picks all the stuff that Cornucopia grows? Now skat off, slontze! Or I'll draft you into the work gangs for the day and you can explain to your Epic yourself why you weren't there!" The overseer raised his cudgel threateningly and Iconoclast feigned fear, backing off and holding his hands out to protect himself. "Yeah, that's what I thought...." "Uh wait, sir! I had one more question-" "That's it!" The overseer snarled and brought the cudgel down on Iconcolast's outstretched arm, and then batted him in the face. Neither were hard enough blows to do serious damage, so he held back his healing. The overseer grabbed the Epic by the arm and dragged him over to one of the vans. "Here, have a day of picking for yer cheek! Hope your Epic is one of the forgivin' types, haha!" With that, he threw Iconoclast into the van, and another overseer closed the doors. Iconoclast found himself in a crowded compartment with seven other vanillas. They ll looked forlorn and despondent, most not even looking up to see this strange new arrival. One did, however, and the muscular young man asked him, "Get drafted, huh?" The Epic smiled, and grabbed the shoulder of the speaker and another worker. "Yes, I'm afraid so.... but so have you." The vans got moving towards the fields surrounding the town, and Iconoclast expanded his army.

I agree, it needed to be a more powerful moment. On top of that, the movie just wasn't very good in general. But I do find the no-killing rule that many heroes have to be taken too far sometimes. I think heroes like that are great symbols, but a strong, blanket "no-killing" is wrong when it gets too far. Like Batman never killing the Joker despite him continuously escaping and causing mayhem every time. It seems... almost cowardly to me, the idea that a hero has that moral principle so strong that they would rather imprison a villain who has escaped over and over and will keep escaping and killing more and more people, just to maintain their own sense of morality. They seem.... weaker to me than a hero that breaks their rule when completely necessary and chooses to deal with the emotional and personal fallout from doing so. I don't know, just some thoughts.

I'd personally consider it much less moral and righteous to not kill Zod once it became apparent he couldn't be stopped or persuaded to cease his declared genocidal campaign against humanity.

Michael Ironside? Not sure if he is buff enough in my opinion. Steelheart needs to be huge. Someone the size of Arnold or the Rock.
-
Well Steelheart is already in a lovely and short movie format. Not much cutting should be necessary And Tom Bombadil was confusing and ultimately pointless in the books imo, and would have been moreso in the movies. And he isn't in the extended edition btw. Had an extended edition marathon a weekend or so ago so I'd know

nice work man! that is actually really cool one thing though, that house looks a little too nice for Firefly. He was disgraced and being punished with a sub-par house and minimal servants. Could you perhaps move his house to a different one? After some inspection I think a good place would be the house two doors down, to the right, on the same side? Its still a very nice house, but its slightly less nice. I think Firefly would hate being in a single-story house surrounded by two-stories XD part of his punishment.

yeah, we should wait for Twi. She is after all the overall gamemaster of this RP. Have any of you google earthed Corvallis? It has an ungodly amount of trees. No wonder Cornucopia likes this place haha

Fair enough, good idea yeah that works fine. I hadn't got a place in my head, beyond on the edge of town near a wooded area (because in his second post, I established that Firefly's house was on the edge of town near woods that he had been hiding in), and since this street is Firefly's street, it must be about there. Where you selected is basically perfect, to be honest. also keep in mind that most of the area between the edge of the dome and the city is filled with Cornucopia's plants. For your reference, the big fight in the first day happened at the Crystal Lakes Sports Field @Tyson: where is Gunsmoke's church, btw? @Shard: do you have a rough idea where Phoenix is hiding? So i know where to attack him haha, if it is too far or something. So I guess that means the attack occurred on Garryanna Drive Street view is so trippy in this context.

If she ever becomes a grizzled, badass warrior, she should carry around a huge magnum 45 with the words "glass cannon" inscribed on the sides.

well even without High Epics there could be Epics that have very strong powers. As long as none have PIs, a number of incredibly destructive Epics who are wary of engaging each other would make sense. Glass cannon Epics of a fashion.
