  1. Essentially he collapsed into dust. A pile of dust, together equalling his mass, lies at the bottom of the wrecked van. You may or may not think it was teleportation but the dust would seem to indicate otherwise
  2. I feel like we don't talk about Corpsemaker enough. He feels less important than he should He should commit an atrocity or two to get us talking.
  3. @Mail-mi: in regards to Astoria, yes
  4. Btw Iconoclast will take about 30-60 minutes to regenerate fully, so he is out of the picture for a little bit
  5. I think Sourcefield just got scared. She revealed the terrified creature that is at the core of every Epic.
  6. *spraypaints message on wall* REBELLION NOW "oh what nice patriotic citizens"
  7. Can Rebellion be a despotic, iron-fisted ruler, even worse than Steelheart, just for irony's sake? "now you worms don't even THINK about rebellion!" "we can't think about our ruler?" "NO, well.... Yes! Think about Rebellion but not rebellion" "I'm confused" "ugh, just think about our lord Rebellion, that will discourage dissenting thoughts!" "so think of Rebellion whenever we think of rebellion?" "....yes"
  8. I feel odd then that all my characters are middle-aged or close to
  9. *editing isn't working That's tragic :'( if it makes anyone feel better, neither hell nor high heaven would have saved Roger without Calamity
  10. I hadn't considered the mitochondrial thing. How about his tissue stays "alive" in a fashion, even when separated? Because magic. It is linked to him in a way. It acts dead but the mitochondrial DNA remains active. And with his weakness- he doesn't regenerate if killed while his weakness is triggered. All his tissue everywhere would die.
  11. Yes. When his body is fully vaporized he regenerates from the next largest mass of tissue. In this case, an arm. I basically intended his regeneration to be near-perfect and I didn't want him getting trapped, captured or overwhelmed too easily. Given that he is essentially taking on a city on his own so far (until he gets help from Phoenix it Converter) I figured it is justified
  12. Iconoclast makes the most melodramatic exits
  13. Iconoclast whistled to himself as he drove away. He could hear a helicopter buzzing away overhead, even over the light patter of rain on his roof. "Today has been a good morning", he thought aloud to himself, "Where to now, I wonder....." He was just considering his next move when suddenly he heard a whoosh coming from the side. Turning, he saw nothing but a flash of green before his world upended. Everything was a blur, the world span, a titanic crashing sound pierced his ears. The impact itself broke his neck. As his van tumbled and crunched through the field, his bones broke and his flesh mangled. Finally he came to a stop. Iconoclast blinked in surprise. He was half trapped in the twisted chassis of his van. He had certainly not expected that. Were they so careless as to not even check who he was before trying to kill him? Thoughts raced through his head. A flash of green... Buttercup herself! Running was pointless if she could fly, and he had already healed too much to believably pretend to be a dead vanilla. Could he fight her? No, he wasn't ready to confront any of the Queens directly yet. He would play with them a little more. Time for an exit. He squeezed his eyes shut, and concentrated hard. Focusing on every molecule in his body, he weakened the bonds between his cells. It would take a few seconds but- Suddenly the passenger door was ripped off of its hinges, and there she was- black hair, and furious green eyes. Iconoclast smirked. "Tell Rainmaker that she won't have a populace left to enslave for much longer. Toodles." Without breaking eye contact, or letting his eye contact slip, he punched himself in the chest with all the strength he could muster, and his weakened cells fell apart. In a second, his whole body disintegrated. ...................................... In the dark, underneath Corvallis, sat a humble rat. This rat, a fat, furry thing, was contentedly nibbling away, along with a number of its fellows, on a huge piece of meat that had found its way into their home. The rat swallowed, and took another bite. And then another. The rat, being a rat, never quite realized that it had taken the same exact bite three times in a row now. Suddenly the piece of meat, what a human would call an arm, began twitching. The rats scurried away, only now realizing that there was something wrong with this piece of meat. Cuts, sores and missing chunks began regenerating, and soon the arm looked as if it had just been amputated. The arm continued twitching and writhing as the bloody stump began extending, re-growing muscles that had been somewhere else not long ago. The growth was slow- only an inch or so of new flesh every dozen seconds, but the pace would increase. And then Iconoclast would rise once more.
  14. You guys only hate vegemite because you don't know how to eat it properly! You just spread a TINY amount across bettered toast, or bread. If you spread it as thick as nutella pr use it as a dipping sauce you're gonna have a bad time
  15. Chess was a bit of a douchebag ugh, and the vegemite flavored chocolate? Gross
  16. Great post Logic!
  17. ah ok, my bad! sorry, I just got the wrong idea
  18. "If Winter is going away for a month, I think we are still waiting on Chase in Corvallis to out Iconoclast as an Epic in that van. Should we skip that, and Rainmaker just blast it anyway? Or just assume Chase identified him as an Epic off-screen, and Winter can recount it in detail in her next Chase post?" just a bump in case anyone missed it
  19. haha just saw this Supervillains tearing apart the world, and you release a SUPERHERO movie? Just insensitive, Marvel. Tasteless, even
  20. If Winter is going away for a month, I think we are still waiting on Chase in Corvallis to out Iconoclast as an Epic in that van. Should we skip that, and Rainmaker just blast it anyway? Or just assume Chase identified him as an Epic off-screen, and Winter can recount it in detail in her next Chase post?
  21. Its a PUGEON
  22. longer than normal- about 30 minutes. No issue with that happening hahaha "surprise!" a very short-lived reign of terror
  23. Corvallis: For Iconoclast, I'm waiting for someone to approach/attack the van directly, so far a few people have just noticed it. I'm thinking he will pretend to be killed if someone attacks him, holding back his healing for a time. Then he'll escape and move on to attack a place near Phoenix in a bit. *raises hand* hahaha
  24. I think that was suggested at one point Personally, I can't see why not. Although any secret powers wouldn't be revealed I imagine.
  25. Venture and I are working on a Deathskull/Inhuman fight scene btw
