  1. Hmph. Show up one hour late and someone's already beat me to the Boring/Snoring rhyme.
  2. Huh. You should have been the one to sign up as Hrathen
  3. Sign me up as Spook! Edit: wait, looks like someone already did spook. Sign me up as Hrathen
  4. A transcript was found in the oracle's basement. It seems to have been written weeks before the kidnapping. That was a good game. I thought the balance was perfect. In fact, if I were to change anything, I would make days half as long so we could fit more games in the same timeslot.
  5. @Herowannabe! It was squid who done it! I got this freaky intuition, and the answer just popped into my mind! Final answer!
  6. Ahh, gg. We had you among our final suspects, but you had only posted 2 or 3 times, so we figured it was someone more active.
  7. @Herowannabe! I am making an accusation! The witness was Metaterminal, and he unraveled the murder by using logic and charisma.
  8. Well, obviously. Herowannabe, the witness is... Goshdangit.
  9. Day 2 again? Must be a groundhog day loop going on. Not quite sure what you mean by this. Do you mean that we have 5 methods and evidences this game, instead of 4? If so, that's just a rule tweak from last time.
  10. @Herowannabe I'm making an accusation. I think it was a Joe in the bush, using cliff and leaving a medallion as evidence.
  11. So I signed up to take a test at 4:30. It was a review test covering last semester, and I could bring my notes. Easy peasy. I got there a few minutes early, and the test was closed. Turns out the testing center was open all day, but my professor had set the due date to noon. I sent an email to my professor about it, and he said it wouldn't hurt my grade too badly. But make sure I show up for the next one. Tests are worth 60% of my grade. There are 6 tests in the semester.
  12. wait, what? Does this mean you are the murderer? Did I miss something? Who are we trying to confuse here? Well, maybe you're right. That's just the way I play, because it gives the forensic scientist oracle a chance to communicate back and tell us where we shouldn't go, instead of just where we should. I'll agree to disagree with you.
  13. I'm shocked, appalled, and horrified That you think I'm the crook! I hope that once the villain's spied, You'll let me off the hook. Imagine you're the oracle. You give a clue, and people come up with 25 wrong and one right possibility from it. Meanwhile, they get nothing from one of your other clues. You would have no reason to discard the first clue. Hypothetically, the first clue is footprint. The second clue is despicable. Despicable has so far pointed to...nothing by the end of D1. (Unless you count itiah's posts.) There is no reason you would discard footprint if it told us anything useful. That's why I ruled out footprint clues.
  14. But the fact that the oracle discarded it means that it was doing nothing for us or was leading us in the wrong direction. Sometimes the oracle just makes mistakes or sees obscure connections we don't consider. In that case, footprint points us away far more than towards the evidence.
  15. Oh, I get where you're coming from. I'm thinking mobs in the streets, government overthrow, that sort of thing. You're thinking allomantic zinc. It would be an "all over" clue if we were just looking at cliff. But Joe has evidence the oracle has to get us to guess, too. Medallion fits under head, even if cliff doesn't. Note that the clue says hint on corpse, not location of injury.
  16. Yeah, pretty much this. We get more info the longer we wait, so guessing too early means you miss out on a lot of clues. My top guesses right now are: Rioting/Water bottle // I imagine lots of accidental deaths happen due to rioting cliff/medallion // But not cliff/pendant, because the clue would have said the motive was love Shades/stick // Because I might as well make sure.
  17. So there are a few clues we didn't really use last round. Despicable, untidy, and necessity. We did use footprint pretty heavily, though. The fact that the oracle replaced footprint means that he would rather replace that than a clue we weren't using. That means footprint was leading us in the wrong direction. With that in mind, Here's all the clues that we related to footprint yesterday. Creatures, Steelrunning, Kick, Deepwalker, boots, horseshoes, footprint, weetleek sap, hoofprints, Crab legs, dirt, dust, saddle strap So here's my revised list, without all that stuff. Speaking of which, @Kidpen, what is a lak? I can't find any info anywhere on it.
  18. I was just going to wait until tomorrow for the new clues, but... Okay. In a normal game, you would say this if you were the seeker and about to get lynched. Or if you were an eliminator under heavy suspicion. But you can't get lynched in this game! So whyyyyy? You're not the witness. If you were, declaring this and giving correct clues would get you killed anyways. You might be an investigator faking it. But the previous point means that you can't give us any correct clues anyways. I guess you could be on the murderer's hit list by now, but there must be better ways to draw attention. Posting analysis comes to mind, because you're giving clues that could lead to the murderer. (Example: Last game, I accidentally posted the correct combo. Because of this, I was killed.) More likely you are a conspirator who is trying to get people to waste their guesses on you. This is the most suspicious ploy I have ever seen. None of your other clues fit the murder, except maybe Shades/Stick, and I'm gonna guess that anyways if it's not ruled out by round 3. If you are the murderer, John Smith will literally die. This is just the worst plan if you are the murderer. That's not a weapon! It's not even an item! Are you looking at the wrong sheets? I'm seriously starting to consider that you're just playing a different game than we are. You said it. I'll see if I can get anything from his previous posts. Edit: I'm hoping to get a clue of his companions based on how many clues he specifically mentioned from different people. 0 1 2 3+ Snipexe, Droughtbringer, PK, Devotary, MetaTerminal Kidpen, Elandera, Steeldancer, Randuir, Madagascar CC, Bort, Joe, Rathmaskal, Walin Itiah Nope. He had a lot of clues relating to himself, but it's probably otherwise random. Note: One of his posts ruled out animals. If we count that, Drought, Devotary, and Meta are the only ones he didn't mention. Meta has nothing that fits the clues, and the others already had suspicious clues. So that still tells me nothing.
  19. @I think I am here., you've been posting a lot of things that could, theoretically, fit the evidence. Do you have a list of things that stand out to you or would go well together?
  20. I mean, in the book, Sarene was almost sacrificed accidentally. But wouldn't body fluid fit better than footprint? This seems like a long shot to me. A few people don't have anything bolded. Droughtbringer, for example, has 3 clues related to hiking, but none of them are bold. Why is that?
  21. From first of the sun. It's basically a natural net trap.
  22. I figure I'll organize all the murder methods by type. Italicized if it could also be an accident. So here's what my player list looks like: I also have wilderness-related clues underlined. Kidpen, what is a Lak?
  23. Tis sad, but I'm under a curse. You'll just have to endure. Once we really start the game, my rhyming will desist, 'cause it would make it really hard to do analysis
