  1. Gosh, Adavantos, I'm a scholar, not a person. Scholars and people are different. Which leaves me confused as to why lopen had his own name on the list. It probably has to do with logistics or something. But speaking of scholars, I'm going to target a previously unscanned player this cycle, and leave lopen to scan the current player. That way we don't get in each other's way. You good with that, lopen? And as for votes, I suppose Tony Stark is as good a candidate as any. Edit: never mind, that would cause a tie. Polking.
  2. Wait, so the edgedancer elsecaller ability lasts for two cycles, right? And after one cycle, Adavantos says that it has worn off? But at the beginning of last cycle, he didn't know whether or not his teammate had done it? So the ability was used two cycles ago, but Adavantos was not informed about it. So...the eliminators communicate poorly, I guess? So I'd guess that for some eliminators, this is their first game as an eliminator. I don't have a good estimate on who those players would be. Anyone else want to offer up any options?
  3. Exactly. I figured the three possible options related to Adavantos' post were: 1. He is a diagrammist and is taking pity on us for being inactive. 2. He is a diagrammist and is trying to trick us or distract us somehow. 3. He is a villager who is trying to drum up some activity. I decided to test how observant people are, because if people are inactive and don't analyze previous posts, options 1 and 3 are much more likely. Based on his tone, though, I'm inclined to believe he is a diagrammist who took pity on us. If he really does reveal a diagrammist each cycle, I vote that we keep him around for a few cycles. He'll encourage discussion by killing inactives, and he'll give us vital information on who to kill. I vote that we scan PK, to put suspicions to rest once and for all. Edit: Also, Creccio, because everyone else is voting for her with logical and not at all bandwagonish reasons.
  4. ...What? Let's see if I can sum this up. Assuming I'm a diagrammist, posting now would give one of my teammates a chance to claim scholar in a PM. Some of the people who died might have been scholars, so we can't just count up numbers and tell who is telling the truth. I agree with Zas, how does waiting help? A diagrammist wouldn't have to wait until after I post to claim a scholar's role. It would even be helpful for us if scholar has already claimed, because if the diagrammists have a scholar, then the person who claimed in a PM would confirm my vote before I post, and if they don't have a scholar, they'd confirm it after I post. So if someone claims they're a scholar and doesn't tell the result of their scan until after I post, that means that they are probably a diagrammist. And, assuming they're in cohorts with me, all it would take is one scholar to challenge our claim. Also, I was ninja'd by four people before posting. Some of them might have relevant info.
  5. Well, it's a choice between being killed by an angry mob while the eliminators kill someone else, or being focused on by the angry mob while the eliminators try to kill me. Because of how suspicious I've seemed, I don't think it's likely that anyone will protect me, but at least the eliminators will kill someone who has interacted a lot (and thus, can give a lot of info from their death,) rather than someone who doesn't give the villagers any info. And, having said that, all bets are off.
  6. So I felt like I needed to kill someone on D1. In part, this was because I was used to advocating for a D1 Lynch, and I've never played a game where all actions happen on the same cycle before. The other part was because I need to use my powers. There, I've said it. I'm a scholar who needs dead folks to investigate, and I was bored. Please don't kill me, I feel like I have a role that is essential for winning this game. If you need confirmation, I can scan someone this cycle and reveal who I scanned in the thread next cycle. I've also realized why it's very unlikely that Venture pulled a WGG. WGG's are to make people trust you, and Venture isn't active enough to use that trust. If the eliminators were to pull a WGG, I feel like they'd do it on someone more active than Venture.
