  1. Could you add me to that PM?
  2. Clarifications: Telepathy: Anyone with the power of Telepathy can make 3 PMs at any time. They can have up to 3 PMs with living players, and, since it is passive, it doesn't require an action to make PMs. Illusions: You have to change a vote to someone, if you change one at all. That's the only restriction. Votes: All you need to do is green your vote once. It's fine if you don't green the original one. Reckoner Kill does count as an action. It can be seen by someone with Invisibility, but will be indistinguishable from Matter Disruption. The Invisible person will be told "your target followed/killed/illusioned/transmogrified/protected someone". Invisibility's results are: the active power, if any, and all passive powers used. Forcefields protect from one attack. In write-ups, types of kills will not be stated, but the flavor text will probably give it away. It is safe to assume that the write-ups are accurate in regards to type of kill. If the person is protected, the type of kill won't be named. If it is from a second life, it will be. If Illusions targets someone with Magnified Persuasion, both votes are changed.
  3. Cycle One: The Writing on the Wall Perseus strode through his court. That building would need repairing, and this wall… he paused. What was that graffiti? It was hard to read, but it looked like it said “d0wn w1th P3r53u5”. Down… with… but the last word was illegible. He shrugged, and continued on his way. Strange. Typically only a few buildings were destroyed in a day, but that was the sixth right there. And the seventh. And- he counted for a moment- the twenty-first. And why did each one have a single wall left standing, with the same message? Down with something. The building, perhaps? Perseus couldn’t stand not knowing the reason for something. He teleported over to a young minion staring at the words. “Subject! Can you tell me what these words say?” he thundered. “Well, Lord Perseus, th-th-they say… ‘Down with Perseus’” the mook stammered. "Treason!” Perseus summoned a waterball and blew his head off. He turned to another subject. “You! What do the words say!?” “Ah, Lord Perseus, the first one is ‘down’, the second is ‘with’, and the third is ‘Perseus’” said the woman hopefully. “Did I ask what they said individually?!? Put them together!” he exclaimed! “They say ‘Down With Perseus’” she said quietly. “Treason!” he shouted! “Take her away and find the mastermind!” One of his most trusted lieutenants stepped forward. “Lord Perseus. The words on the wall are a treasonous slogan that says ‘down with perseus’” he explained. “Oh. I knew that. Just testing you!” Perseus quickly teleported away. Why would anyone have written that? The only people that hated the Epics were the Reckoners… and given that he never accepted new mundanes, they couldn’t hide. Perseus thought for a minute. And an hour. And a few more hours. Finally he hit on it. “Aha! They’re killing people and disguising themselves! Wait, no… Reckoners don’t kill mundanes…” Several hours passed. “Aha! They’re disguised as Epics! And that actually makes sense, what with the rumors of technology that grants powers…” Perseus immediately gathered all his Epics in the central room. “None of you are leaving until all the Reckoners are dead!” Cycle One will end at 6:00 PM EST tomorrow.
  4. Cycle 1 will start about an hour and a quarter earlier than all forthcoming cycles. Anyone who decides they want to sign up between now and 6 PM can still do so, but in the interest of starting the game today, the topic will go up in a few minutes. (If there are new people, then they will be added ~10:30 EST)
  5. I'd be inclined to disagree. Hael does this every game, and because he does it when he is an Eliminator and when he is Village, it's impossible to draw any conclusions from his posting of the quicklinks. I'll also vote for Maill, because I think he should have been lynched earlier and for that vote.
  6. There won't be any spoilers in write-ups etc., so this section of the forum will be the same as any other. Parts of the rules are canon, parts aren't. We are now in the final 24 hours of sign ups! If you've been thinking about joining but haven't decided, this is your last chance.
  7. Well, the last time an experienced player did something like that was what has been termed "The Shallan Debacle", and Wilson was an Eliminator then, so I'll vote for Mailliw.
  8. Reserved for clarifications, player list, and final titles. Clarifications: 1. Sign-ups will last one week, from 1/08 to 1/15, at approximately 6 PM EST. 2. The rollover time will be 6 PM EST. The write-up will be posted by an hour later at most. 3. Any questions about the game in PMs, docs, or the thread will be answered in the thread. I'll also try to edit them into this post for quick reference. 4. Cycles are 24 hours long. Player List: Final Titles
  9. QF12: The Time of Reckoning there's You live in California. Or you used to. Nowadays it's called Persepolis, named by the Epic who's ruled here since Calamity rose. All things considered, he isn't the worst. Public infrastructure is mostly gone, sure, but killing is frowned upon. A few months later, you woke up with powers yourself. You've pleased Perseus, and have made your way into his service. Perseus has need of all of you, but you would do well to remember: you are replaceable. Every day, Perseus chooses the worst among you, those who have contributed the least, and kills them. Personally. Every day there is a reminder that no one is untouchable. Even Epics. Even you. always You come from somewhere else. You've seen what the Epics do. And you've sworn to execute any who break the law. By a strange coincidence, that is almost all of them. For what they have done, for what they do, for what they will do, there will be a reckoning. And you are bringing it. another Alignments role Roles If you don't contribute in Perseus' Court, you don't live. Any player who does not post in the thread, the GM PM, or another PM in 2 full cycles will be killed by him mercilessly. Notes: The only means of PMs is Telepathy. No other PMs are allowed. The write-up will include all kill attempts. Only dead players will be named in the write-up. There may be hints in write-ups, but it is not a good idea to read too much into wording. The number of Telepathy PMs will change depending on how many people sign up. It will be edited into the rules once the game starts. Order of Actions: 1. Perseus' Kill 2. Passive Powers 3. Transmogrification 4. Illusions 5. Votes Counted and Lynch 6. Forcefields 7. Matter Disruption and Reckoner Kill 8. Invisibililty Quick Links:
  10. "Edit (since nobody wants to post) In other news. Phattemer! I heard that you're a Spiked! How is the Spiked Doc? Talking about how to kill me yet? You should be." Well, apparently it worked. I happened to click on the "most recent post" option, and when that showed up, I decided to respond. If that's for drawing me out, do I need to reply to the allegation? (By the way, I realized immediately before posting this that my name could be construed as a vote, since it isn't technically in a quote. I have therefore taken the precaution of adjusting the color.) Also, my notifications will work now.
  11. Sorry I've missed the game so far. I kinda forgot about it... But yeah, I don't really have anything to contribute at the moment. Sorry again. I will be at least on each cycle from now on.
  12. This will likely be the next QF, set to go up once MR10 ends, with the new schedule. I'm not going to try many new mechanics in this, given the limited time for feedback. There could be hidden roles. There could not be hidden roles. The Time of Reckoning You live in California. Or you used to. 13. I would like to join as Exisa, a diminuitive person with paranoid tendencies. No, that's not a bump in his shirt. Why would you ask?
  14. Wilson said that she rerolled the RNG sometimes if it was needed. Obviously an Elsecaller or Explorer would not be unbalanced on the Diagrammist side, and as such, it is more likely to be there then, say, a Cook, which might skew the game in the Diagrammists' favor. It isn't as likely as a usual game, where roles are picked and players randomly generated (I don't mean to say that in this one players were picked. I mean that in this one both were randomized.), but still many reasonable setups include an Explorer or Elsecaller on their side.
  15. I might join as well, if that's ok.
  16. Is this still ongoing? And if so, would anyone be unaverse to my joining?
