I want Argon to end up in his new house for the night, as I have a story including all my characters planned for the evening. However, for the rest of the day, I'm open for action. Some elaborate plan by Buttercup to force Argon to show if he's really High Epic maybe? Depends on how the conversation will go...

There were no profanities or curse words or anything like that, this song is perfectly safe for kids... if only it wasn't about killing I personally can somehow understand, that people are used to Imperial Units (*imperial march playing in the background*). All right, it might be intuitive and convenient to measure things with your thumbs and other body parts, measure liquids using gallons (where the hell did those come from? 1 liter is 1 kilogram of water or 1 cubic decimeter, what is a gallon?). I can understand you prefer Fahrenheit (although when I read what temperature Fahrenheit chose to make it 0F I made the strangest face ). But why, oh why, do you have to use this crazy month/day/year notation for dates? ;( How can you sort anything using this format? How can you quickly tell which date was earlier? Why not use the most logical format there is: year-month-day or, the other, acceptable one, that is however useless if you want to sort anything: day.month.year? As a programmer I hate the mess you cause with the date formats

I don't think -50C is enough to make chicken leg break like glass. It would rather be hard as a rock. I'm not sure if it would shatter in any temperature easily, because meat won't have crystalic molecular structure no matter how cold. But I'm no expert and may be wrong all my experience with cold is limited to freezing a rose with liquid nitrogen and it did shatter like glass, but i think it was because the petals were so think. They would probably break in -20C as well. Other than that, the fight was good with this temper Coldpin will pick up fights easily wherever he goes

I hope he won't lick the cut they made for surgery too much without the cone. One of my cats did and had a minor infection and had to be given antibiotics. Tell Bruce that licking himself down there is a no-no (I think you did good by removing the cone, it caused him a lot of stress and that could siriously weaken his immunity system.)

No, I didn't consult with anyone. That part about lack of animals is just Summer's point of view. Working for Drainer she didn't have any occasion to actually stop and look around to notice animals. That part about Cornutopia was just her reasoning. Maybe I should write it a bit differently... I have to write in a couple of sentences about the weather anyway... yeah, I'll edit this part to be more compatible with everything else. I fully support Reckoners cell in Corvallis!

Summer walked around the house, looking for a place away from the small crowd. She wanted some peace and quiet before risking her life, pretending to be a member of staff in the house of her owners enemy. If this Argon had any mind reading abilities, she was practically dead already (the sheet that Drainer gave her didn't say anything about those, but you can never know with these Epics...). If not, she'll be dead as soon as he finds out she sends reports to some other Epic or someone from the staff mentions that she's not assigned to his house by the government. There were so many things that could go wrong, she just needed some place to calm down and relax for a moment. The backyard seemed like a good place to check. She sat down on an old wooden bench inside a gazebo. Her heart slowing down as she focused on the nice scenery around her. Nature took over what was once a neatly cut garden and now it was more like a meadow in a forest with flowers, weeds and bushes. Despite the terrible weather she relaxed, sitting under a roof, with warm clothes, she didn't mind some rain and humidity. For a moment she felt like if the world wasn't a devastated place, ruled by hungry for power humans with super powers, but something calmer, nicer... Meow. Summer looked around looking for the source of the sound, not sure if she even heard anything. She hardly ever saw any animals in the city and she suspected it might be Queen Cornucopia's doing. After all she was so obsessed with her plants, she may consider any animals a threat to her preciouses. Or maybe it was because of this strange Epic, who deluded herself that she was some kind of a princess? She could summon animals or something like that... Meow. She crouched near a shrubbery and saw a pair of bright yellow eyes staring at her. When her eyes adjusted to the darkness bellow the plant, she saw a black kitten. The only parts of it that weren't made of pure darkness were it's eyes and a single white whisker. Meow. Now that she could focus on the sounds the kitten made, it sounded a bit miserable. From what she could see, the cat was skinny and weak. She wasn't sure if it wasn't her imagination, but she felt like if it was looking at her with plea for help in it's eyes. Without thinking twice, she went back to the front of the house. This Argon guy still didn't arrive and his staff was wandering around, apparently bored of their whining and complaining. Many years have passed since the last can of cat food left a factory in the Fractured States, but fortunately Corvallis provided supplies for kitchens, including raw meat, currently stored in styrofoam container with ice. She managed to steal a small piece of it while pretending she was counting all the food containers. When she returned to the shrubbery the cat was still there. She cut off a little piece of meat using her pocket knife and held it in her hand to warm it. Then she threw it carefully in front of the kitten. After a quick sniff the kitten ate it and started to look around for more. She repeated the process many times, until the cat was no longer interested in food. Instead, the little ball of darkness slowly walked toward her and rubbed her hand with it's cheek, purring quietly. She rubbed it back. It seemed that Summer has found a new friend in Corvallis.

I don't know how any metal objects would pick up radio waves, if they weren't radios. However, if there are radios laying around in Elendel Basin, that means the people from South have already infiltrated the Basin unnoticed. If, judging by Harmony's words, they discovered radio around 100 years ago, that means that right now, the South is technologically somewhere around our 1990s. damnation, theoretically, they might have already landed on the moon (although they probably didn't as they didn't have anyone to compete like USA and Russia did)! Ohh, I can't wait to see the clash of the cultures... That reminds me of one Polish fantasy series, where the planet was divided in half by super-huge mountains and on one side there is magic, while on the other, people developed technology. One day, the technical half, blows their way through the mountains using nuclear weapons... The first contact of cultures: nuclear submarine vs wooden ship. I think I'll read it again!

Leave a piece of your underwear somewhere as a bait, but sprinkle it with some irritating substance. Depending on the colour, tabasco sauce might work, or if it's white, maybe some bleach. She'll think twice before stealing from you after spending some time away from home with burning sensations in her sensitive areas.
