Serena complained. "And who are you outside of school?" Victor asked genuinely interested, he was eager to know more about how life after classes and outside of Hogwart looks like for it's students. "I've wondered what do you do in your free time in a boarding school in the middle of nowhere. Are we even allowed to leave the school premises?" Victor worried that school rules may be too restricting for his taste. He was used to his Muggle school, where after classes he was free to do whatever he wanted, go wherever he wished, before coming home. He didn't have problems with rules in general, they usually were reasonable and he could see the reasons behind them. However, if the rules were stupid and in conflict with what he believed was right, then too bad for the rules... Unfortunately, he had a feeling, that he'll find some of the rules in Hogwart unacceptable.

    Well, after lots of reading I came to conclusion that Victor is double Slytherin... so, he'll be joining the "bad guys"

    I'm fine with whatever you decide although I can't say how long you'll wait. The activity suddenly dropped in last couple of days, it might take some time before others are fine to make the train arrive.

    So, when I had my first idea for character for the RP I wanted a Ravenclaw, but now I have Victor and I have no idea what house fits him best and how will his conversation with sorting hat go. Could you all point me to some good sources about houses and their characteristics? Or maybe I'll write more about what kind of person he is and you'll advice?

    Shannon's reaction made Victor feel proud. He always found it very satisfying to make someone laugh, if it was a girl it was even better. Serena however didn't show almost any reaction to his question. I guess they don't teach humor in Hogwarts... "Sorry, no." Shannon answered after dealing with her water incident, "I thought about submitting that as my career plan this year, but I figured that'd be kind of insensitive. I don't think most people set out to become evil warlock overlords, any….well, except for You-Know-Who. And Lestrange, from what I hear. And the Carrows. Actually, never mind. I guess being an evil warlock overlord is something you plan for." "I personally would rather become a benevolent ruler of the whole magical world, worshiped and loved everywhere I went. It seems easier that way... I wonder what classes should I take to get there..." Victor tried to continue the joke for a while longer, although he was aware that it wasn't too clever. So, not to make it awkward, he switched the subject back to Houses. "So, Slytherins are the bad guys, Gryffindors are the good guys... Judging by Serena here, Ravens are the ones who know too much. What about Hufflepuff? Anything interesting about them?" He made sure to say it in a light, almost silly tone to not offend anyone.

    If you won't be able to finish one of the reports on time, try sending a corrupted (broken) file. Then you have time until they contact you that there is something wrong with the file to finish the report you then send them the finished report blaming the evil machines for corrupting your file.

    "So yeah, that's what happened." Serena finished her monologue. "Huh, that was more interesting than I thought" Victor had to admit. "They should have made a series of movies about this Harry Potter guy. I bet they would be very popular..." Victor sat quiet for a second, playing with Mefistofeles, who started to hunt one of the drawstrings of his hoodie. Then, to lighten up the mood after the somewhat serious and dark story asked with a smile: "So, Shannon, you're from Slytherin. Are you considering the career path of an evil warlock overlord?"

    Just a note: Drainer didn't report the theft. He was too ashamed to do so But they may definitely confront ThunderSpear about his fight with Drainer. His lightning attack must have been flashy and hard to miss by everyone around.

    If Gregory would settle with only long-term schemes, it's wouldn't have much influence on our gameplay. The RP is going for 2,5 weeks and the train has barely left London Any real long-term plan would be executed in about a year from now? Of course, preparations for it may be interesting, but let's keep in mind how slowly paced this RP is. I think we need short-term schemes and conflicts too.

    But what about naming after Star Wars films? Now we have renamed "Holiday Special", we still have "Rogue One" and "Clone Wars" (the animated movie) to use... "Admin One" and "Clone Admins" or "Admin Wars" are waiting and will be sad it we abandon the tradition!

    Finding a way to calculate prime numbers wouldn't break all encryption software. Only the most popular asymetric algorythms like RSA. Symetric cryptography would still be safe as far as I know. Although, symetric cryptography is far less usefull.

    Victor sat there listening to the lecture about war with Voldemort. It was long. Very long. The train left London already and was now traveling through some loosely populated areas with lovely scenery. The weather was nice and Victor wished that he could go for a hike, see some of the countryside. Back in Poland he loved to travel and would frequently go camping with his parents. When he came to England he hoped he'd be able to visit Scottish mountains, see the wild nature of the northern parts of the island. He also hoped he'd be able to leave the Hogwart castle during the weekends to spend some time sightseeing. His daydreaming got interrupted when Shannon spoke. "Come on, Lockhart, skip to the cool part. The part where Potter literally rose from the dead to beat You-Know-Who for good." That sounded interesting, people rising from the dead to defeat evil wizards wasn't something you'd hear about often. Victor also recognised the name Potter. That was some celebrity auror who's biographies were always available in every magic bookstore he'd visit. Victor vaguely remembered that it was this Potter that defeated Voldemort and now he was about to learn more about that...
