  1. You must have some very resilent fleas there in the US when I get a cat with fleas, all it takes to kill them all is a few dozes of a special medicine applied on fur and they're dead the next day. All of them...
  2. It's not the Volts that hurt you but the Ampers
  3. So there are two Delightfuls now, huh? Good thing the original has so much rep, that she's easy to recognize
  4. @Oversleep the problem with cutting a tank is not to make the edge cut the metal but rather for the wider part to follow between two very heavy and solid pieces of metal. Unless the blade is magically pushed it will get stuck. Just like when you take a normal knife and try to cut through big chunk of cold butter. At first the edge of the knife cuts into the butter smoothly, but then friction between the sides and the butter kicks in and your knife is stuck.
  5. @Pestis the Spider I think it would be best to tell him more or less just what you wrote here. It's your stuff, you don't want it to be touched by others and that's it. It's nothing personal or anything, you're just like that.
  6. "One of them bit my arm!" Rick shouted back at Kenshin, while Argon grabbed him to fly down to the ground. "Can someone please explain to me what was that?!" Argon asked once they landed, looking suspiciously at the bodies scattered around them. Corvallis was supposed to be a peaceful place of wealth and tranquility in this crazy world. This was definitely not something he had expected. "Who were they? I thought zombies belonged in movies from before Calamity..." "Yeah, we thought so too, until a day or two. I think those are fellow citizens that fell under influence of some Epic that want's to damage Rainmakers position by destroying what she tries to build here... Ouch, this bite really hurts...". Rick suddenly fell quiet, with horrid look on his face. "Do... do you think... do you think this might be contagious? Like in the movies?!"
  7. @Oversleep have you seen this? I think an edge which angle gets almost infinitely close to zero would be too fragile and wouldn't stay that sharp after contact with any other material.
  8. Maybe purchase some online backup solution? I use CrashPlan, that gives me unlimited storage for one machine, for something like $5 a month. I have > 500Gb safely backed up, somewhere safe.
  9. I visit the shard every day and I haven't seen any changes recently. There are two versions of the interface, one for desktop and one for mobile. Try resizing your browser window to see it change, maybe that's the whole source of the confusion?
  10. See, that's why you shouldn't have checked! Look what have you done! No free transport
  11. @ThirdGen you can still visit South America without jet lag
  12. I just watched the whole thing in 2 days. And I did not expect where volume 3 would lead to this show turned pretty dark pretty fast! Anyway, I can't wait for volume 4 now!
  13. <- is an atheist <- still doesn't know anything about coffee or alcohol I simply don't like the taste of anything containing alcohol or coffee. Anyway, I was curious, why do Americans, living somewhere where tornadoes are quite common, don't build hoses that are more wind-proof? I know that it's quite hard to build something that would withstand a tornado, but still, what I've seen in movies or TV reports after tornadoes, the houses build there have super thin walls. They look like if they were build so light, that a big car would be able to drive through them without slowing down. Wouldn't it be better to make a house using solid bricks and concrete, that would at least have a chance to survive the tornado?
  14. I'm not sure why, but I feel a bit sick when thinking about cheese in a can :/ I've never tried it and I don't want to. There's something wrong with making cheese in a spray... As for peanut butter, I don't like it. I love Nutella however. I can eat Nutella straight from the jar.
  15. Here's a video demonstrating how awesome european windows are
  16. I wonder why did the author of this image left out the whole eastern Europe from the comparison There is Poland, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, the Balkan countries etc missing. So the difference in size is smaller than sugested here. Anyway, I wonder, are cars with manual transmission really so rare in US?
  17. I have just got back from the cinema where I watched the newest Ice Age. The movie was fun and it was surprisingly good for a fifth movie in a franchise. The biggest problem of the Ice Age series is constantly growing amount of characters. We stated with 3 main characters, now we have a team of 11 I guess. Anyway, the best part of the movie was as usual Scrat and Sid's grandma I can recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the previous movies
  18. Everything is explained here:
  19. No you're not
  20. Turns out I did so good on the first question, that I just got a phone call inviting me for an on-site interview in their Warsaw office
  21. I had a technical phone interview with Google, I did one question OK, but screwed up the other one :/ I guess that would be my chances for working for Google saying bye bye, for the next year or so...
  22. More like a chasmfiend I think Here's the author: http://emmgoyer7.deviantart.com/art/Shallan-And-The-Chasmfiend-591805007
  23. Is this going to happen any time soon? It's a bit annoying to have to mark games in the General Discussion all the time...
  24. Oh how I wish this was real:
