Oathbringer goal: finish the webpage I'm currently working on and develop ABS I don't really like the idea of forcing myself to read anything specific in a given amount of time. I'm reading for fun, not for a challenge

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

*hugs* I don't know your family, but whatever they say, there's nothing wrong with you and you shouldn't be ashamed or anything -
Is anyone on the Shard perhaps using Habitica (habitica.com)? I've recently started to use it again, and I'd love to try out the new team-working features they've implemented, but I have no friends, soo... What is Habitica? It's a simple game, that helps you manage your tasks, develop positive habits, remember about some regular tasks and have fun while doing so! You gain EXP for keeping to your habits etc. It has mobile app for iOS and Android, so yeah... try it out if you have problems with remembering things or managing your tasks

After reading your pet peeves, here's mine: The way programming and generally computer science is portrayed in movies. No, that's not how it looks. No, you don't hack into Pentagon in 6 minutes, smashing keyboard non-stop. No, your computer doesn't display a neat graphs or any other "visualization" of cracking an encryption or anything... There is so much wrong with how they show how computers work that it's ridiculous. And I don't mean like Tony Stark style computer use. Marvel movies aren't in any way trying to be realistic in any other aspect, so it's fine for him to have Jarvis for help and to handle complicated software with hand gestures and voice commands. I mean movies like James Bond, where they try to show everything as quite realistic.

My parents never tried to make me believe in tooth fairy... but that's not really surprising as it's not common in Poland. I remember that I was < 9 when I figured out that the Santa Claus is a fairy tale told to kids. It didn't make me sad at all, because the presents were still there -

If you like buying cheap books, have you heard of nieprzeczytane.pl? That's the cheapest online bookstore there is. Usually cheaper than other stores during their sales.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

Unfortunately they're still the most supported party at the moment (25%, the next one has only 15%). Mainly thanks to their 500+ programme (~130 USD for every second and next child every month). They're buying support using money taken from next generations The national debt is growing faster than ever before since 1989. I have a feeling that majority of poles don't like what they're doing with history, but that's based only on my social circles. I have no idea how it's viewed by those who voted for them. -

They just want to speak about Lech Kaczyński on every occasion they have. The bigger the audience the better. They praise his bravery, brilliance and whatever else they can think off, assigning all kinds of great deeds to him. They're making use of the saying: "A lie told often enough becomes the truth.". They try to make a hero of Lech Kaczyński, so that Jarosław Kaczyński (leader of L&J) feels better (they were twins). Many people in Poland believe that the catastrophe in Smoleńsk was actually Russians fault. That it was a terrorist attack/assassination made by them. Making a martyr out of the dead president (he was from L&J) gives them more prestige and plays well with russophobic moods of many poles, so they use his name and memory in their political games when they see it fit. Soon they will probably put him on the same shelf as Piłsudski, Poniatowski or Jan III Sobieski :/ -

Today we have an anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. That is not something that would normally make my day bad, because up to this year, the commemorations were always something that brought people together and were a beautiful display that we remember about those that died fighting for our freedom. This year however, the ruling party Law and Justice is poisoning another important part of our culture/memory/identity. Every year, there was an appeal read with the assist of army, honoring the soldiers and civilians that died in 1944. With each year, fewer and fewer surviving soldiers could make it, but they always had their representation at the ceremony. This year however, our minister of defense, Antoni Macierewicz, made a decision, that every ceremony that has assistance of our army, has to have an appeal about the catastrophe in Smoleńsk. The L&J party is trying to make a national hero of Lech Kaczyński, our president that died in the plane crush at Smoleńsk and they have no shame while trying to do so... After an uproar in the media, Macierewicz met with some of the the uprising survivors and forced them to agree to have Lech Kaczyński mentioned as the biggest contributor to the memory of the uprising. It is just sickening what they're trying to do. Mentioning a politician that died in a plane crash among people that gave their life to free the city from occupation... There is another sick thing that they're doing with the Smoleńsk appeal. In Polish we have a word "poległ" which can be translated as "died in battle". They are using this word to describe what happened to people that died in that plane crash. They apparently "died in battle" while their plane crashed... That's just insulting for every man and woman that died in any war. Anyway, here's a short, beautiful video, showing how we commemorate the uprising in Warsaw. At 17:00 when the sirens start the whole city stops for a minute. This video puts tears in my eyes every time I see it. EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention. The L&J party, is trying to take one of the uprising soldiers general Ścibor-Rylski to court, because he cooperated with Communist agents some short time after WW2. The man is 99 years old, got decorated 2 times with Virtuti Militari Order (the highest polish military decoration) and it is just totally vile and wicked to dig out such things now, just because he is criticizing the ruling party He has already stood before court for his mistakes before and it should be over, but the L&J party has no honor and will stop at nothing to attack those who criticize them EDIT2: Google is hosting a site with photos from the uprising: https://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/beta/u/0/exhibit/AQCTpPsp?utm_campaign=warsawrising&utm_source=google&utm_medium=stella -
You just haven't seen my signature enough times from one device. If you want to to learn your name really fast, just refresh this page a couple of times. It just needs to successfully associate you with a request 10 times to decide you are you. There is one session associated with you that viewed the signature 6 times, so you're not that far

Another way to put it from atheist point of view: So you're telling me, you haven't killed me yet, because your imaginary friend wouldn't like it? Anyway, my pet peeve currently is the temperature in my flat :/ It's cold outside, but despite opened windows and AC running it's still pretty hot inside :/ Seriously, what's wrong with my flat? o.O At least in the winter I don't have problems with heating...

People like that are a little scary to me. It's like if she was admitting that all that's stoping her from murdering all the patients in the hospital is a book...

It is possible to see TOP 25: here Unfortunately, if I try to make this list longer it goes back to TOP 5. You'd have to add some HTTP GET parameters for paging I guess to see next pages.
