Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Mestiv replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
Yes there are and they are amazing! I can send you some photos once I get home -
I don't know what kind of advice or support would this hypothetical person require. So I'll just share my experience with a kind of similar matter. I know a person that is in the process of changing their gender. A male that's going to be a female. From what I see, the best support she gets is from other transgender people. They understand each other and know what she's going through. How could I help? By treating a friend as a friend, no matter the changes in appearance or switching from "he" to "she". How do you support someone that doesn't quite fit the "norm"? By treating them like everybody else, because they are not weirdos or something, they are people going through some hard times. So my advice for that hypothetical person is that he/she should find a group of gender fluid people, talk with them, make friends with them. My advice to you is to simply stay a friend, like you are now.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

You just drink, I don't know how does one exclude the other you can drink water, juices and fizzy drinks that are room temperature if you don't want anything cold. Tea is good to warm you, but I often still feel thirsty after it. Just a bottle of water standing on the desk works best for me. Get your warmth from warm clothes and calories you eat -
Nope, she's from Star Wars. From galaxy far, far away

Nah, I had a friend that used to bleach her hair and it wasn't that bad. Obviously you use a special bleach for hair, not the stuff used for clothes

Make your country's Internet your market! it's relatively easy and cheap to create an online shop using existing tools. you can run it from your home at the beginning or a garage Google started in a garage! -

You got some kind of law that forbids people under 16 to go on dates? o.O I'm sure someone will ask you out!

That reminds me about a book I'm planning to read That's on my shelve. It's the end of the world, the four horsemen have come, the leviathan has risen etc... however, they didn't receive the memo that human kind has advanced in technology. The leviathan got blasted into pieces with some missiles while people are outrunning the four horsemen on their bikes I hope this book will be as fun as it advertises itself.

Why not manual before auto? it's much easier to learn auto as the second one I think.
-
@Kaymyth it's quite hard to learn a different system when you have years of experience with the other. I remember I used to press the break every time I'd normally press clutch when I got to drive a car with automatic
-
I think often its not about the intellectual capabilities of those people. They just didn't have any chance or need to learn it before. Like many people in USA don't know how to drive cars with manual transmission, while its considered a basic driving skill here in Europe. That doesn't mean US drivers are dim or anything, right? They just didn't have a chance or need to learn it.

I'm not sure what this topic is meant to achieve. Convince general Shard population that there is a problem with equality? I don't think anyone needs to be convinced. If I recall correctly there was once a heated up discussion about wage gap, but I don't think anyone ever claimed that everything is ok. About the movement name: maybe Equalism would be more appropriate, but since Feminism is so popular I don't see it coming away. False rape accusations are a terrible thing, but on the other hand we have stories of rapists going out of court with almost no punishment ("to not hurt their career" or smth like that). I don't think it's a gender equality problem as much as justice system problem.

And what does you blood tastes like? Mine tastes like iron. I've heard that most people describe their blood as sweet.

With that Jar Jar smile? who knows but seriously, I think you two might use some private talk , possibly with a third party moderator to not get too emotional. i think it's not the first time your in conflict, right? -
I agree with the others that Python is a nice place to start. there are also some tools designed to teach you the basics in a form of a game. Those "games" might be worth giving a shot if studying from a plain tutorial is too boring or complicated.
