    I've just started leaving separate pages for all my doodles... I'm partial to drawing wolfhounds everywhere, as TenSoon is one of my favorite characters, and the people of Roshar are also residents in my notebooks. Not to mention my recent obsession with writing in High Imperial. The other day I found the message "Wasing the want of sleep. Ever ising the potent lack." in one of my school notebooks that I'd forgotten I'd written at some point. You know you're a Sanderfan when you get a splinter and you think it's hilarious. (When people ask why you're laughing you say, "I have a Splinter!" or "I've been Splintered!") Also, when a friend tells you their orchestra is working on a song called "Brandenburg Concerto #3" but you hear "Brandonburg Concerto #3" and assume it's written as an anthem for the 17th Shard because that's clearly what Bach would have meant by "Brandonburg". It's the abbreviation of "Brandon-Sandersonburg". EDIT: Hooray for my first popular post!

    @Unhinged, I'd like to say that you've come to the right place to ask, but unfortunately I haven't had many opportunities to branch out. I can say that I've tried a few rather delicious artisan root beers, but I'm not familiar with Maine Root. @Elsa, Not much is new around here. I'm just trying to keep my head above the water root beer in school. Thanks for asking, though! Have a mug of root beer and some chocolates. Hopefully once things calm down I'll be able to be a bit more active around the 17th shard. Then I shall bring root beer to all people!

    Brightness had been sitting down to relax with a mug of soda and a novel when the assassins struck. She had been quite absorbed in The Way of Kings when Winter's cry of "Assassins!" had rung through the court. Within moments, the ball went from a party to a full out brawl that several civilians were smack in the middle of. One of the men in black crashed into the table Brightness was sitting at, knocking over her root beer. "Colors!" she swore, scooping up her precious book and tucking it away in her cloak. "Why is it," she asked herself in exasperation, ducking through the crowd towards the perimeter of the room, "that every single time I try to relax there's an attack on the palace?!" From her place near the wall, the duchess could now see a bit more of the battle without being trampled. "Now for the real question," she mused, fingering her novel, "do I make sure all the non-combatants get out to the Newcago streets safely or stay and summon my shardblade?"

    "What's this about spiking birthdays?" Brightness asked, entering with several large bags. "I heard there was gonna be a party over here, so I brought root beer and chocolate cake!"

    When someone's talking about renewing their membership for something and you hear "Renoux-ing their membership", and you immediately think, Wait, they're replacing someone who already has a membership with a kandra so they can get all the benefits without paying?!

    Alright folks, *dusts self off* I'm here, and I've brought doodles and a caffeine-free root beer fountain machine, as requested. I apologize for the awful picture quality. I was taking pictures of my drawings on my phone, so... yeah Anyway, thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Oaths of fealty...? Shouts of despair...?

    Welcome Devotion, to our humble guild! ...Want some root beer? ...Do Shards even drink root beer...? @ChullRider, I would be honored to oblige. Consider it done. (I'll stop by later). I have three questions though, 1. Care to stick around a bit for the party? 2....No A&W root beer? 3. Should I assume you didn't mean a root bear? When I read that last request, I thought, Shasta Black Cherry Root Bear = A black bear/cherry tree named Shasta. But don't worry. All our root bears are well trained and make excellent guard animals for your guild.

    Don't worry. You just need a very basic knowledge of windspren or honorspren to guess correctly. I did stumble upon this pun accidentally, after all. "Nope! One last guess, your majesty." Brightness said gleefully, picking up another chocolate and inspecting it, "Here's a hint, though. The answer to this pun, the punch line, if you will, is a rephrasing of some information on Syl in the coppermind wiki: She normally appears as a young woman about a handspan tall, glowing with a faint blue-white light, but is able to take a wide variety of appearances, such as a ribbon of light or blown leaves."

    "Yes, yes, yes, yes. Plenty of chocolate. Don't worry," Brightness assured, stunned by the thought of a party with no chocolate, "I just need to pull it out from the back room-" even as she said this, a servant disappeared into the back room, then reappeared a moment later with the first tray of chocolates. "Yes, here we are..." she said, popping a piece into her mouth. "That wasn't quite the answer I was looking for," she told the queen, "Though if I asked about Sylphrena, I think a "read" spren would be fitting, don't you? But no... two more guesses!"

    Sometimes I have, though I've been pretty busy lately, so there's not been an awful lot of time for drawing. I doodled Rysn a while back, and I know I have a half draw Ryshadium somewhere... I think I'll try to dig up the drawings and post them, if only to finally get feedback from other Cosmere fans.

    "That would be wonderful, your majesty! The Bar's felt rather empty lately, so I'd appreciate the advertisement." Brightness glanced around at the servants, who were already finishing up with the streamers. "Thank you again for all your help, Elsa. And nice pun, by the way. I do so love a good pun. Or a bad pun." she paused for a moment, musing, "Particularly the bad ones, come to think of it." "Oh, here's a riddle for you!" the duchess exclaimed, " The answer's a pun, and I only just thought of it earlier today, so I've been hoping to test it out on someone." she cleared her throat, trying unsuccessfully to get over her excitement. "Okay, so, what color is an honorspren? You get three guesses at most, but I'm fine just telling you, if that's what you'd like."

    Thanks so much! I'm not too good at realism, so I just hit the cartoons hard and fast and hope no one notices. I have a lot of goofy little drawings like that if anyone's interested in seeing some, though I'm rather old fashioned so their all done completely by hand. Anytime I look through the gallery I feel completely outclassed by all the fancy pictures... I really specialize in doodles and sketches.

    "Ah, yes! Thank you so much, Elsa," Brightness said in relief, "That would be absolutely... root-tastic." she said with a grin. She glanced back to the breweries in the back. "Want a root beer float? I've not pulled the ice cream out for fear it would melt before anyone arrives, but I think with your particular set of powers it should be okay."

    Brightness stepped out of the back room carrying a tray of clean mugs just soon enough to hear the queen's proclamation. "I know! This is going to be great!" she said, setting the tray down on a table. She poured two mugs full of root beer, wiped her hands on her apron, then offered one to the queen. "Oh! You brought the streamers! Perfect..." she said with a smile, noticing the baskets, "Here, let's trade, root beer for streamers." The duchess looked around the room, taking in the wide space and high ceiling, then glancing back down to the baskets. "This... might just take a while..." she said, feeling daunted.

    "I think we've got just about everything...Could you bring streamers?" Brightness asked, smiling broadly, "In root beer brown and vanilla if you can manage it." She lept off the table, rushing forward to give the queen a quick hug, "Thank you so much, your majesty! That would be fantastic!" The duchess laughed and grabbed another mug of root beer. "I'm so excited for this party!"

    "Alright, everyone, listen up!" Brightness called, climbing up onto a table, "As of tomorrow, March 1st, the Root Beer Bar will be holding a celebration. It will be a grand, month long, root beer themed, going away party for Snoopy, our honorable founder. I don't know if he'll be able to attend, but we'll have a party anyway." the duchess paused, frowning to herself. "Not that we'll be celebrating the fact that Snoopy's gone," she clarified, "just celebrating his time here with us and recognizing his accomplishments. Hmm, but that sounds more like a funeral.... Okay, well anyway, it's all March long and we'll have lots of delicious root beer." She stepped down from the table onto a chair, then sat down on the tabletop, mug of root beer in hand. "Have any of you guys tried root beer on snow or shaved ice?" Brightness asked, taking a sip, "It's delicious."

    Sounds like a fun guild! I'd noticed a lack of art focused guilds around here, so I'm glad someone finally decided to take action. What sort of stuff would we do?

    When you see an advertisement for sharbade and the only reason you realize that it's not a dueling team for shardbearers is that the description says it's a "fun, teambuilding scooter sport".

    I've never heard it said that way either, I just read a bottle wrong and thought it said "Crem Soda". *cue double take and thoughts of is this what happens when you don't let the water sit overnight?* But back to the main topic. Would you say that when Kaladin joined Bridge 4 they were the crem de la crem of the warcamp? EDIT: Also, care for some crem brûlée?

    I'd actually thought of this before. When "cream" becomes "crem", foods don't sound quite so appetizing anymore. Crem cheese for your bagel? Sour crem for your taco? Whipped crem on your ice crem sundae? Crem soda?
