  1. Sorry for falling off the grid there for a bit. As I mentioned before disappearing I have been having internet problems (now fixed) and then I was out of town for a while and busy with some friends. Now I am back home, sick and tired and with a pile of work do. I will be on a bit but I probably won't return to regular activity levels till at least Thursday. Now I read through everything today and while I am still trying to digest it all I do have a few thoughts. Firstly about PK, he voted for Kipper and claimed that kipper warned him he may die. Did we ever hear anything else about tat from kipper?(if we did I missed it) Also I find that Adavantos has been acting very odd this cycle such as talking about not lynching our main suspicions until they are scanned, talking about not voting on anyone unless you are sure, as well as expressing concern about being a leader while definitely becoming a leader(not the leader but one of them). Firstly I am of the opinion that you lynch your biggest suspicion and scan people you have no clue about or who you are thinking of trusting. If you are suspicious of someone and they claim a crucial role then sure you should wait and have them scanned but otherwise It is best to learn from lynching them. The second part just seems like he is subtly trying to get people not to vote as much. Voting lots and moving your vote around regardless of suspicion is the best way to learn more. The vote isn't just to kill people. I however will not be placing a vote since the majority of the suspicion revolves around the whole Wilson/STINK debacle and I still don't quite understand what is going on. I also probably won't be back on before the rollover so wouldn't even be able to remove a vote if someone responds to it. EDIT: Ninja'd several times. PK what did Kipper say to you about you maybe dying?
  2. I understand that and that is a reasonable reason to lynch someone. However the first lynch isn't really expected to be successful so lynching someone for not doing much on the first day doesn't give us the same amount of info as going for someone who has said stuff or interacted with people in ways that can be analyzed. Basically I think we gained less info lynching Shallan than we would have from Bridge or Adavantos and that's really what day one lynches are al about.
  3. Sorry for not getting in to place a vote last cycle. My internet has been down at my house all day. I think that it may actually be best for the HI to scan people who claim to them. That way you can catch them in a lie. Also I'm still confused after reading the end of last cycle what exactly Shallan was lynched for. It seems kind of like people just wanted to lynch an inactive but not someone who was fully inactive. I am all for lynching less active people but the whole point of a day 1 lynch is to generate discussion since it is unlikely we will actually find a traitor. So why did we lynch anyone then?
  4. I'm not sure what this is about. "Some people should be able to know why." Is that a reference to something that was said in the Eliminator doc of the renowned LG15a? If it is something that can actually help the Adavantos guilt/innocence discussion then it would be useful for everyone to know. One thing that you forget is that HI can check roles. If someone is going to be claiming false roles to the HI then they must do so knowing that they could be found out at anytime if the HI finds them suspicious. Is it really worth it? (I know I reminded someone of this in 15a, I can't recall if I did yet in this game, if I did sorry for being repetitive)
  5. I don't know about the rest of you guys but a Contribution Crusade lunch day sounds like one of the best ideas ever proposed in this game. "What did you bring to the Contribution Crusade lunch?" "Oh, I just brought a veggie platter, I'm no good at cooking" "What?! A veggie platter? That isn't really contributing much. You are definitely getting lynched for that."
  6. I am not suspicious of Adavantos*, I was just pointing out the problem with people saying "Eliminators would never do what I just did". That is just a general thing that just bothers me a bit. It isn't enough for me to want to kill him since he is doing a lot to promote discussion. I don't have the time at the moment to put the analysis in for a vote as I am going to a lab and I will be in their till potentially 10 tonight (8 hours from now). When I get back from that I will probably be putting down a vote. *Beyond the fact that everyone is suspicious as you said.
  7. You get sour milk! *Inserts 2 dollars and presses button to get Coke*
  8. See the problem with the defence of "Why would an eliminator do that" is exactly why an eliminator would do that. The whole point of being an eliminator is not to act like an eliminator. You won't find eliminators saying "Oh, I can't do that! An eliminator would never do that!" Also everyone can share opinions and thoughts. You don't have to be telling the truth about who you suspect and even an eliminator can have strategic ideas about the game. Also about you being currently tied for leading in votes, I don't think that is something that would worry you. Firstly there is still over a day left in the turn and secondly you are a good enough player to sway those votes away from you.
  9. With seven player and about 20-25% eliminators you would be unlucky not to guess at least one eliminator if you just used a RNG to decide who you think is guilty. Also I agree With Deathclutch about Kandras checking for roles. That is not nearly as important as searching for Traitors. It is generally understood that you cannot trust a seeker to be good since the Eliminators always know your role. Also if the Traitors have a Kandra they can just scan your role and say that they scanned both your role and alignment much easier than a loyal Kandra can
  10. Yay Haelbarde! Winter, I'm sorry if I seem to be being rude. All that I am trying to say is that playing to make me less suspicious won't be what makes me less suspicious of you. I just want you to give your thoughts on the game and play as if you don't care about my suspicions. Also where'd everyone else go? Even if you have decided that Deaths last list is the be all and end all of who is Skaa and who is not we still need people to vote. People aren't just going to start dying by themselves for having their name on the list, deathclucth didn't have a Deathnote.
  11. What points last cycle? The ones were you tried to defend yourself? This one, this one, this one or this one? Or maybe you mean this one? What did you say that helped the inquisitors at any time? What did you say that wasn't "I always act this way" "what do I have to do to defend myself" "did you even read my posts" "I already defended myself. My point is that if all you do is try and defend yourself why would that make me less suspicious? All that means is that you are trying to survive. Surviving isn't the main goal of the game. The main goal is to help your team win.
  12. There isn't really any set amount of RP here. Some people like to stay in character all game while others never do any RPing. Anything is acceptable and really only depends on the character. @Wyrm: When a player who has been forged dies do they show up with their original role shown or the forged role?
  13. Lots of my suspicion involves you not really saying your suspicions or actually taking a firm stance on anyone. If you spend more time trying to be helpful to the inquisitors rather than just saying "your suspicious of me anyways what can I do?" then I would be less suspicious. I don't like telling people what they should do to get me to remove my vote or be less suspicious. What is the point of that? "Hey I am suspicious of you because of this, but if you do this I won't be" Then people always just try and do stuff to check off the list so that they are no longer suspicious. What they do means nothing after that and doesn't help anyone! If someone is going to be less suspicious to me they should try and be helpful to the team and not just try and defend themselves.
  14. I didn't ask for you to defend yourself, I was just asking everyone left to say their suspicions or whatever they think no matter how small it may be. We can't have everyone following one player, especially a dead one. but that seems to be what is happening: @Creccio: We still do have a coinshot out there. If they are good we don't want to narrow down who it is so that the Skaa can kill them especially now that we don't have any more lurchers.
  15. What type of information do you want Creccio? Just peoples roles and what if anything they have learned? There isn't really any vital information that people can really get from their role that should alter how we go about this this turn. Also when you say "i would refrain from killing him yet" do you mean don't vote for anyone yet or that we should keep Zeph alive? I disagree with both of those statements either way. We need to start voting asap since we get more info the more people vote and defend themselves. Ripple, a rioter is a very interesting role and quite useful especially for the Skaa. I see that the coinshot decided not to take another shot which still leaves me with my suspicions mainly focused on Zephrer and Winter. I don't really have anything new to add to my suspicions about them but I would appreciate the opinions of other people since most voting has been done based of off others reasoning. Everyone must have something to say at this point, even if it is something small or seemingly insignificant that you have noticed or that seems to be wrong.
  16. This game has an interesting premise but I don't really like all the roles that limit posting ability. There is often already problems with inactivity and people not posting and having game mechanics that further limit posting would only compound this.
  17. Jerry very joyously gives brilliant xylophones yearly for underground gentlemen. Only hilarious kale huggers live better in free yurts. Did you deny your every young, short hockey cat? Jump vigorously if gaolers just get jobs for joining xenon hemiacetals freely. Higher I said! You only drive under gigantic grounded impossible gates. Keep giving killers vexing knives. 18. @Meandbooks: Glad you are feeling better! I am also glad that you share the same concerns as me. The Skaa could not make a kill in order to confuse everyone. However in situations such as this miscommunication, forgetfulness and inactivity are much more likely. @Polking: I'm sorry if I sounded like I wanted you to vote for alfa. I was trying to say that you should be voting for someone at this point and if you had a better target you should share but if you didn't then there is no reason not to vote for alfa since he is your biggest suspicion. I wasn't trying to pressure you into voting for Alfa which is what it looks like now that I reread it.
  19. Yep thanks Ripple, I completely forgot that there was no vote manipulation. I guess I am used to soothing and rioting affecting votes in many allomancy games. Still a two vote cushion isn't enough that someones vote is worthless. I also do agree that it is slightly disconcerting that many people are just following Deaths lead without offering their own opinions. I understand that he is the only confirmed (almost) player and he has coinshot two Skaa but that doesn't mean you should blindly follow him without at least giving your own opinions. EDIT: Meandbooks! I see you checking the thread! Thoughts?
