  1. This is pure torture for us poor saps who haven't actually read it yet. I hope you're all happy. On a 'side' note, I've shortened Falchion's weapon list to Butterfly Swords, Kunai, Sai, and Claymores. This should still give me some variety and let me do cool things with this character, while still being realistic.
  2. It'd only been two days in this smelly bar, but Sam had tired of it in the first few hours. There wasn't much to do, and he wasn't allowed out unless he was on a mission. So Sam kept to his room most of the time, setting up his remote network of information, hacking into street cameras, and extending the web of data. Three people had died in two days. Three people. Sam hadn't known them, but every life lost was a loss to everybody. Life was precious. Sometimes killing had to be done, to save someone else, but Sam had made a promise a long time ago that he would never be the one to save through killing. That's why he was a hacker instead. He could analyze, and sabotage, but he didn't kill. But someone out there had judged that there was something they wanted to save that was worth killing for. Maybe a person, maybe their own lives, maybe power, maybe just money. But whatever it was, by the way the bodies had turned up, Sam doubted it was really worth it. Three people dead in two days. That was another reason Sam was shut up in his room. It was his way of coping against the madness and darkness that was this rotten world. He knew, deep down, that more people died in a minute across the globe than had died here, but these were people that, even if he didn't know them, he acknowledged their existence. He had seen them move, breath, and live. And now they never would again. That thought set in once again, as it had several times over the past few hours, and Sam bowed his head, letting a tear for humanity fall. END EMOTIONAL RP HERE I'm a trustin' Lopen here, and voting on LUNA. The whole PM thing seems pretty suspicious, but there is always the chance that something happened so she couldn't respond. In a way, having the mission be a success is worse than having it fail, and having so many successes seems off to me. But I've never played the resistance, so I wouldn't know fully. I also think STINK is suspicious, but I'm going for LUNA for right now. We need to kill somebody at this rate, or we'll just bleed out. My thoughts on Maill's death. The fact that they used their most likely one assassin kill hints towards them wanting to kill Maill really fast, if they were using it second cycle. That just screams that they knew his job before hand, or he'd make a lucky (or analytical) guess, and they wanted him dead. But the whole thing seems rushed to me, them trying to take him because he was a threat. You don't use a one-use kill on someone random. You use it on a threat. But then why not just use their standard eliminator kill on him if that's true, is what I wonder about. possibly, the eliminator assassin was working separately from the others, and they didn't know he planned to assassinate the guy, or something along those lines.
  3. Switched profile pics after realizing mine was almost exactly like Phatt's.

  4. So, if Ada's not going to be around, should we lynch him? There's always a chance he's an eliminator, and he won't be helping out the village if he's inactive. Of course, wait until he's actually gone first, but if he's an eliminator, we got one, and if he's a villager, then almost no loss. (Of course we'll miss you, Ada, but the character can die.)
  5. I'm not so sure the attack on Burnt was "random." I've been on an eliminator team before in games, and we'd plan out exactly who we would attack, in which order, and our usual targets were people who had experience, but who didn't stand out too much. Also, preferably someone that had voted in a way that would incriminate someone else. So if the eliminators are using the same logic, that narrows down their next targets by quite a bit. I don't know too much about the players, but I'd say a tentative list of their targets might be: Phattemer Orlok Clanky LUNA(After successfully pulling off a mission.)(Very tentative.) Ripple Bridge Boy (At least I'd like to think so. I've been in it for a while, but usually don't add too much.) Hellscythe Adavantos(Experienced, but just came in after MR11 so hasn't done much so far.) Anamaximder (Used to be Venture Mistborn, who was a pretty good player, but the new name throws people off, so it might work for them.) Again, this is just a list of who I think potential targets may be. Of course, now that I've put this out there, this might lead to the eliminators changing their strategy and not go after those people, or they could double-bluff and do it after all. P.S. What's up with that tag? What did I do? Did I get a thing? Is it a cookie!?
  6. I've got a couple epics I thought up recently, and I figured I might as well share them here for you guys to give me feedback on. I don't plan to play these characters, they're just ideas I wanted to get out there. First: Ballad(That Old Dude) Babyface McGuire
  7. Ah. I've heard of the series, but never played it, and had no clue the "Falchion" existed. I just knew it was a type of sword, and sounded really cool. So sword knowledge, not knowledge about the game. I think I mentioned before he was very proficient, and I had tried to stay away from the actual term, "Mastered." It was someone else that first brought it up. But I could be wrong. It probably is still more realistic to limit him down to maybe 4 weapons though. P.S. Editing in quotes stinks.
  8. Okay, I'll thin it down to a couple weapons. (Crying here guys. So many cool swords D': (that's a weird emoticon, but I kinda think it fits. Kinda. Okay, maybe not so much, but I'm keepin' it.)) I do plan to make another character, with an idea that I got from my research, but I want the two to be different, so the way he uses swords will be radically different from Falchion. P.S. What's FE?
  9. His sword abilities are actually worse than Kenshin's. He's not supernaturally gifted with the ability, just very good at what he does. Which is swords. And yeah, he kinda does have access to them. He has a portal hooked up to an underground vault that's usually unlinked, so in a battle, he could open a portal to there, reach in, and grab the weapon of his choice. But he usually only has about 4-6 weapons on him at a time. Something I thought of when I read up on Kenshin, I don't know if you've done this before, but if she can sense where attacks are coming from, couldn't she just make a sword appear in that direction to block, without even having to look, and then remove it once the shot or whatever had been removed? Just something I came up with, not sure if you've used it before or want to use it. Edit: The "You" I'm referring to there is the owner of Kenshin, who I believe is Edgedancer. But the paragraph before that is aimed at Mestiv.
  10. Sam was just fine with going on the mission. It would be a whole lot better than sitting here in this foul-smelling place and waiting around to be either hacked or attacked by the police. And if Sam had been hired by Yolen, even if he didn't trust the man, he would fulfill the contract. And the faster he went about doing that the better. I also noticed there was no D1 lynch, but I actually prefer that a bit more. Unless we accidentally manage to kill an eliminator, they are usually not too helpful in the act of actually killing someone, the advantage is in the votes. So long as the votes people placed were sincere, we can get some good information out of it. (By "we" here, I mean one of the many who enjoy doing tons of analysis. I can't do that stuff. I just get hunches and get killed by butter knives.)
  11. I know that this wasn't pointed at me, but this is a good opportunity to mention that I understand that many swords handle very differently. (Sadly, I have never held any kind of sword, just researched them and read books ) There are some swords that are similar enough though that they do handle the same, but have different traits. Like a rapier vs. flamberge. A flamberge is a rapier that has a "wavy" blade that rattles the opponents blade while parrying, and can throw them off. But it still handles the same as an actual rapier, just with a different trait. So there are enough like that in his collection that I feel he could have proficiency in the different types after 30 years with him being a prodigy.
  12. I was increasing his age by quite a bit, which gave him a lot more leeway with them, while still trying to keep him writable for me. I also decreased his weapons by a large amount, he was basically left with daggers, longswords, broadswords, rapiers, katana, and a pistol sword. (Because that's cool. He can't use it hardly at all. He has no training in guns at all, he basically just uses it as a pistol to use a short range that comes with a blade if he needs to parry while using it.) I could probably remove the estoc as well, as that's a bit trickier to use, but that leaves him with maybe 10 different enough weapons to require separate training, and saying that he's been training for 30 years, that gives him 3 years per weapon, which I think is pretty realistic, so I'm not quite sure what else I could change without taking out even more weapons. (Which will make me cry a little. These weapons are seriously cool, and I was really looking forward to using them.)
  13. I have been taking your concerns seriously, and altering things where I think they need to be, I just think that I tend to not change things if, from my point of view, they already meet your criteria. I really do want to create a character that can fit into this, but I've seen some characters that can do amazing things, and I don't want my character to be less cool than them in my mind, so I guess I'm kinda competing against them to try and make my character cool, while not making him too OP from my point of view, while sticking to my original vision of him. But after this long, and so many concerns about his balance, I don't think I can manage all of those, and I might end up coming up with a new char, and leaving this one behind. If anyone that's seen this part of the thread wants to pick him up and try to make him work, you're more than welcome to, and I'd love to see him come to be a reality, but I'm not sure I can make it happen. Edit: I'll also be making my next character sword related as well, just to warn you.
  14. Okay, but I don't think that the number of weapons he has really makes him more powerful, they were mostly for variety in the RPs. And my character still can't really kill any high epics, so I still think he's only high epic standard, and not ridiculously powerful. Not to mention his high epicness is even flawed, so certain epics he goes against can kill him for sure. I think he's got quite a few limitations, with his fighting and who he fights with. I do have a personality ready for him to use, It's just hard to give an example of when I'm not actually doing it, but he does have a personality, and who he is. I just want what he can do be cool and useful. I don't want him getting pushed around by some curveball, but he has plenty of flaws in his personality, I just haven't been pressed about them nearly as much to share them, and it's hard to do unless I'm actually RPing for him as I do, so I'm not quite sure what you're worried about. I've already said that his portals don't work on epics. They act like forcefields to them, so he couldn't instakill them, and if someone without a PI can't survive a little sword poking, how have they survived so far? My characters probably going to end up in Astoria, you know, land of high epics and whatnot. So not quite sure if there's anybody there without a PI, and if there is, they have other skills for keeping them safe, even if he was fighting them. For your first point, yeah, it does make much more sense to have him be older, 35-ish, but I have zero experience writing from that kind of POV, so I decided to go with a younger character. If this guy is 35, he has something that makes him look younger, which gives him a better body for fighting as well, and the fact that he is very childish in his mannerisms and conversations. They say to write what you know, and while I don't exactly know 18 yo's, it's so much closer than a 35 year old. So I could add another epic power that makes his body in peak condition, (which I set to be about 18 yo-ish,) and he's an eternal teenager-child-thing at heart. That way, the age problem is fixed, but I can still write with what I'm comfortable with. Edit: Well, I made one a while back that stole experimental tech and pretended to be an epic, but I doubt that's what you're looking for.
  15. That's a very good point. Of course, we don't know how we see them after Calamity, so maybe..... But as for the knowledge as we know it, it might be a bit much. I wanted him to have a large variety of weapons to use, (originally 12,) but hey, two hours of research later, I had 25-30, not including replicas of famous historical fictional and mythological swords. And that's just fun. I also wanted his main damage dealing to come from his own ability, not from any epic power, so I had to make him strong enough to battle other epics. And win. That kinda removes the sense of normality there, and I'm not sure that he'd ever be "normal," especially with the backstory he has right now. I can probably remove quite a few of the more... exotic... weapons from his arsenal though, giving him more copies of the ones he does use though. Right now, besides copies of the throwing weapons and his basic swords, he doesn't have more than one copy of each other weapon on hand, which I figured could mean if a weapon got destroyed or something, you wouldn't know which one he would pull out next. Here's the current weapon list: "a Spatha, a Claymore, a Rapier, a Cutlass, a Dirk, a sgian-dubh, a Sabre, a Pistol Sword, a Kaskara, a Jian, a pair of Butterfly Swords, a Miaodao, a Hook Sword, a Shinken, a Katana, a Pata, a Balisword, a Kalis, a Kampilan, a Dahong Palay, a Shaska, an Estoc, a Khopesh, a Longsword, a Shamshir, a Khanda, a Panabas, a Kujang, a Flambard and Flamberge, a Karambit, an Aruval, a Bolok, a Yatagan, a Broadsword, a Cavalry Sword, a Falchion, (He usually has this one on him) as well as various daggers, such as a Baselard, a Rondel, a Trident Dagger, a pair of crescent moon knives, a Facon, (weird accent above the "c") a Corvo, an Emeici, a switchblade or two, a Balisong, (A.K.A. Butterfly knife. A Balisword is a large version of this.) a Kaiken, a Katar, a Kukri, a Phurba, a Tanto, a Fairbairn Knife, a Push Dagger, a Bowie Knife, multiple copies, of ballistic knives, throwing knives, chakram, shuriken, kunai, not to mention a few versions of polearms and spears. There are also other weapons not specifically named in his collection. He also has copies of famous historical swords, mythological swords, and fictional swords. They don't possess any of the powers of their legends, but are still high quality replicas, and are fully capable of being used in combat. (I spent about two hours researching these. That was one of the best two hours of my life. I was almost giddy.) He also has a custom sword made that he carries that's about 1.5 meter long, with a straight blade about 3 inches thick, double-bladed, with a simple quillon guard, leather wrapped grip, and a type I pommel, that made it perfectly balanced to his hand. It was painted all black, except for runes painted on the blade. (Purely for show.) He has multiple copies of these in storage as well. He also has copies of a custom-made shortsword in storage that has three prongs." Updated List: "a Claymore, a Rapier, a Cutlass, a Dirk, a Jian, a pair of Butterfly Swords, a Katana, a Shaska, an Estoc, a Khopesh, a Longsword, a Flamberge, a Broadsword, a Falchion, (He usually has this one on him) as well as various daggers, such as a Trident Dagger, a sgian-dubh, a Pistol Sword, a Kukri, a Tanto, a Karambit, a KM2000, and multiple copies of throwing knives. I removed the custom weapons, the historical, mythological, and fictional weapons, balisong, balisword, switchblade, the ballistic knives, the chakram, shuriken, kunai, spears/polearms, switched out the fairnbairn for a KM2000, (Modern combat knife used by the military,) removed the crescent moon knives, the push dagger, the bowie knife, the phurba, the katar, the kaiken, the emeici, the corvo, the facon, the rondel, the Baselard, the cavalry sword, the yatagan, the bolok, the aruval, correctly categorized the karambit as a dagger-type, removed the flambard in favor of the flamberge, removed the kujang, (almost cried at this one. Wikipedia it. It looks seriously awesome, and I had this mental image of him using it. ) the panabas, (judged it to not be close enough to a sword for him to use it with his sword training.) the khanda, the shamshir, the sabre, (in lieu of shashka,) moved pistol sword to dagger-type, removed spatha, once again moved sgian-dubh to dagger-type, removed kaskara, the miaodao, the hook sword, (difference in style too great, although it would be great for a change of pace during the fight.) the shinken, the pata, (slightly odd, and not exactly a sword, per say.) the kalis, the kampilan, and finally, the dahong palay. I figure this should be enough to limit his options, but still give him some variety. But now that he has less options, he has more of said fewer options, so that's happening. So while he still isn't "normal," this should improve it quite a bit.
  16. Fair point, fair point, but they really are all the same general type of weapon, so he doesn't have to change his entire style whenever he switches weapons. It's basically just swords and daggers, and all he would have to do is make minor alterations in his style whenever he swapped. I think it's fair that he could use 30 or more different weapons in 14 years of nonstop training. That's about 6 months per weapon, which is fine, because after the basics, that's plenty of spare time. And by master, I don't mean "best in the world." I mean, can use them with a great amount of skill. I heard of another epic who's powers are to summon swords and to use them amazingly. My guy's swordsmanship wouldn't be able to keep up with that guy's, but he could certainly battle it out for a while. (This is assuming no portals or sword creating are used.) Also assume that he's a prodigy. That should fix everything up. He does not. He can, if both portals are in his line of sight, but he can create one portal that's unlinked, create another portal later, and link them up. He has a sense of what portals he has and where they are and what they are linked to in his mind as part of his ability. I didn't give an example in the bio because I plan to basically copy/paste this in the "Epics of Oregon" thread afterwards, and don't want to give away any of his surprise moves in battle. He can make a portal ahead of him that links to behind the enemies back, while stabbing his sword forward, and impale them from a surprise direction. Same thing for slicing, but only part of the sword would go through, so it's hard to see coming. He can also have a portal linked to the ground, and then create a portal linked to that hanging in the air, ground side up, step on it, and then start running, and make the portal he was on disappear, then reappear where he was going to step. So he could run in the air. Or just create an infinite loop in midair, and then move the top portal to facing the side. (When I use move, I mean disappear+reappear very fast.) This shoots him off in a direction very fast. The difficulty is landing. He can also use his portals to consciously redirect his enemies weapons/projectiles back at themselves. (This might mean that this could even kill steelheart!) So lets say there's a reckoner ambush. They shoot, the defense portal activates, bullet absorbed. Falchion whips around for the sniper, let's assume he doesn't see it, they activate the weakness, it fails, he spots one close enough, portals right next to 'em and takes them out with his sword, sees a barrel flash, and creates a portal link that sends the bullet back at the reckoner, takin' 'em out. Reckoners begin the retreat, he creates a portal high up, a portal on the ground, jumps in, shoots down, portal below him and to the side, he goes through, lands on roof, and throws a kunai at one, taking that one out, and then simply chases down and kills the last one using his sword only, while the bullets are absorbed. That good enough?
  17. Not at all. Epic Name: Falchion Real Name: Dirk Alder Age: 19 yo. Appearance: 5' 7," with black hair and pure white eyes. They still work just fine, and nobody knows why they are white. He has been working out and using swords since he was three, so he has plenty of muscle to use them, and it shows. He usually wears light clothing, a t-shirt and jeans that don't inhibit his movement, as he has no need for armor. The t-shirt is usually bright red with a single black spot at the center. His jeans usually have holes in the knees, but whether that's intentional or purely happenstance is unknown. Primary Power: Can create 10 sets of portals, and an extra unlinked one. To create a portal, he just wishes that it exists, where, what size, (size is limited to be about his size, but can be bigger) shape, facing, and what portal it connects to. He can travel through his portals, as well as his portals transporting matter and energy. His portals don't affect other epics, acting as a forcefield instead. A smaller portal can connect to a larger portal, but if the small one is too small, he wouldn't be able to go through. but light and sound still go through. He has to see somewhere to create a portal there, and he can dismiss them at will, without having to see them. He is able to use these portals in multiple other ways not stated here, but those are the basic abilities of using them. One portal can only link to one other portal. (Think invertible function.) Passive Defensive Power: when he would be hit by something, a portal appears automatically, the perfect size to absorb it. This is not constrained in size, but he cannot activate it consciously. There is no limit to how many of these portals can be summoned at a time. These portals are permanently linked to an alternate "Void" dimension, so anything that would hit him ends up in there. The portals are only open as long as something is going through them, and shuts as soon as there isn't. They react to epics the same way as his standard portals. These only activate to damage that would be inflicted, even indirectly, or accidentally, by something sentient besides himself. (So him stubbing his toe in the morning still happens.) Minor Passive Power: Has the ability to know when, the general direction, and the range when somebody is talking bad about his swords. Weakness: Not having a sword/knife within 10 meters of him. Luckily, this isn't too much of a problem, because... Weapons: He has about 6 weapons on his person at virtually all times that vary depending on which he is carrying, but he has many more in his collection, including a Spatha, a Claymore, a Rapier, a Cutlass, a Dirk, a sgian-dubh, a Sabre, a Pistol Sword, a Kaskara, a Jian, a pair of Butterfly Swords, a Miaodao, a Hook Sword, a Shinken, a Katana, a Pata, a Balisword, a Kalis, a Kampilan, a Dahong Palay, a Shaska, an Estoc, a Khopesh, a Longsword, a Shamshir, a Khanda, a Panabas, a Kujang, a Flambard and Flamberge, a Karambit, an Aruval, a Bolok, a Yatagan, a Broadsword, a Cavalry Sword, a Falchion, (He usually has this one on him) as well as various daggers, such as a Baselard, a Rondel, a Trident Dagger, a pair of crescent moon knives, a Facon, (weird accent above the "c") a Corvo, an Emeici, a switchblade or two, a Balisong, (A.K.A. He also has copies of a custom-made shortsword in storage that has three prongs. Abilities: He has trained exclusively in bladed weapons since he was a young child, and has achieved almost perfect mastery in them. His particular style involves destroying the enemies opportunities to attack, (take out their arms, weapon, etc.) and then deal the final blow. But when attacking epics, he always goes for the kill first, and then tries to keep distance while dealing damage with hit-and-run maneuvers, trying to figure out the enemies capabilities. He is also extremely capable with his portals, and uses them while fighting to great extent, making it possible to attack from any angle. Backstory: His father grew up as part of a group that promoted sword mastery above all else, and learned the forms, but due to an injury at an early age, he was not able to use them all. So when he had a son, he began planning the training regime to bring up his son to participate in world tournaments and win, showing their style of swords to be the best. This continued until the boy was about 17, and had mastered virtually all of the weapon types, when he became an epic. He had always silently grumbled that he never had a choice in his life, (he loved swords, and would have followed them anyway, but hey, the kid wants to at least have the opportunity to make that decision,) and when he became an epic, he killed his father first. After his spree, he settled down for a while to train further with swords and with his new powers. Now he feels that he is ready, and has set his sights upon (Insert city name here.) Personality: Quite easy-going as epics go, and has no problem making light (Think feather, but lighter. This guys conversations flit around like a hummingbird on caffeine.) conversation with other people he deems his "equal." His epicness emerges when someone mentions his swords in a bad light, or talks bad about them, etc. In that case, he will immediately turn "dark," and attempt to kill them, unless he is sure that he cannot beat them, in which case he barely restrains himself, and asks them to remove their comment. If they continue, he will attack them regardless of strength. Doesn't seek after money or power, but does pursue great swords with a vengeance, doing almost anything to add them to his collection. Did I miss anything?
  18. Not to be in the way or anything guys, but I'm still waiting for confirmation on my character, if that's not too much trouble...
  19. I already mentioned that Sam didn't drink because of the many and variable health issues that might keep him from doing his job effectively. And even if he was an undercover cop, he wouldn't be working with the Corps. He hates those guys! Especially Jinteki. Have you seen what those guys do to old clones!?!? They call it retiring them, but it's just a quick trip to the incinerator! I voted that when there was less than a page of replies, and half of them were alcohol discussion. I had nothing to go on, but I wanted to do something, to be useful, as well as to not be accused of inactivity, as I don't see RP being truly active. People tend to get called on it in the late-game. So now that I have more to go off of, Kynedath. Now that there are more crazy folks running around, you're much farther down my hit(vote) list. I'll probably post soonish with a vote.
  20. I've never played the resistance either, I just have a general Idea of the rules. I do know it's a board game though, so that's good enough for me to trust it. Sam Flynn had never had a drink in his life. It makes you dull, as well as bringing trouble, such as numerous health issues including crippling addiction, and when you're in this kind of business, the less extra trouble you have the better you'll be. You can always trust the Corps to bring plenty trouble of their own. Hopefully you can pay 'em back in kind though, and that's why Flynn was one of the best in this line of work. And looking for his dad. During the presentation, he leaned against the wall in a shadowy corner of the bar, staying out of the way. he'd linked up to the laptop via infrared and tried to trace the signal of the broadcast. He found a few outbound signals, but there was always the option the message was a recording, not an actual broadcast, he tried tracing a few of them on his pad, pretending to pay attention to the message, while his phone transcribed the message into text for him to read later. He only had enough time to attempt to trace a few of the signals, but they all had high encryption, as well as node jumping around the country, leaving a multitude of possible locations for the origin of the line. It also switched encryption methods every node, which made it a pain for the handheld pad to decrypt in the limited time. With this kind of security, it meant that either Yolen had money to spare and was very paranoid about his security, which was reasonable, as one of the people under his pay was attempting to hack him now, or he had something to hide. This kind of code was definitely professional level, which meant this character had a large amount of backing, or was the head of some kind of syndicate. Or the head of a Corp. Sam certainly hoped he wasn't, but even if Yolen was, Sam had already signed on, and he never went back on his word. Soon after the broadcast, a man named Dragonsight started a huge racket, attacking one of the guards that were there for leak prevention, apparently showing off. He placed himself in a position of power, where more would follow him, while he voiced the suspicions many had. This man was dangerous. He'd keep an eye on him just in case. He pocketed the pad, the trace having failed, and began reading the speech transcription. Reasons for voting for Dragonsight. Posts a long RP, which is fine, but didn't add too much to the conversation. I know I can't say much to that after this post, but he still seems kinda off to me, especially from a RP perspective. (I know that doesn't matter, but it definitely steered me more against him,) As well as the fact that Day 1 Lynch's can give Villagers a huge amount of information, as the lynch's are the main point of info we have. This is an LG, so I understand we don't have to try and rush things, but the more information we have faster, the better we end up.
  21. I wanted to keep his defense portally, as prof's whole forcefield defense thing had already been done, but pure portals was way too OP. If the epic used a weapon, the weapon would be absorbed by the portal, (If he stabbed with a sword, the part of the sword that would have hit him would end up in the portal, but it could be pulled out just fine afterwards.) but if the epics fist, while holding a weapon, would continue, it would stop as soon as it hit the portal. So it's not that the portal turns into a forcefield, it's that the portal acts like a forcefield to epics.
  22. It basically is a fix, because being able to suck epics into an alternate dimension is balanced... how? So the portals don't work on epics, that's decided. But epics can't totally ignore them, as that basically makes his defenses useless against most epics. And so somebody had brought up the idea of them acting as forcefields in certain situations, so I figured this was a good was to do it. Got any other way that this could work? Yeah, if he actually punched it, but he tried to use wind or an energy bolt, those would get absorbed.
  23. It doesn't. It has previously been stated that his portals don't work on other epics, they just act like a forcefield. They could even be broken with enough force.
  24. The closing at lightspeed thing was a random idea for not letting heat through (if ported to the sun) but I knew it was unrealistic as the object wouldn't be able to go through in time. So I'll probably stick with The Void. It still is portal-y while being different, yet handling all the issues.
  25. But I don't want it to drop on anybody. Oh, I could have it redirect it upwards while being high in the sky. With luck, it'll make orbit!
