I saw a picture of "Shouldn't you be writing?" And got the urge to post some memes on it. (Spoilered for length) And the reason that I'm not feeling guilty? via Imgflip Meme Generator

Yeah, I've read the majority of Arifureta, and it's one of my favorite WNs. I never felt it was too heavy on the harem, mostly since he seems to stick to one girl as far as I can recall. The characters are pretty good as well, although some can be quite annoying. I will confess though that after I read the first arc, I was mostly reading the rest to see how the rest of the group reacts, and so can't remember too much past that. But I do highly recommend it. I got into the Death March a bit later on, and it kinda seemed like it was a rehashing of some WN cliches. The writing/translation is good, but I mostly just periodically check in to see how it's going rather than read it through all the way. Haven't read Only Sense, I'll have to check it out. Haven't seen Overlord either. (I should really get to that at some point.) A LN that I would recommend is Campione, a harem/action LN. While there is harem comedy antics, I don't remember there being much in the way of ecchi, and the harem tends to be present for framing the action. Part of the reason that I enjoyed it was because I'm a huge Mythology Nerd^TM and so I'll check out just about anything with that much mythology in it. It is a good series though. Another good one is The Zashiki Warashi of Intellectual Village and by extension, anything by Kamachi Kazuma. (Guy who wrote Certain Magical Index) I tend to like his stuff since the characters always solve their problems by using their wits instead of just sheer power. Zashiki Warashi has a mystery element to it as well that I enjoyed immensely. A couple more famous names are Steins;Gate (Mystery sci-fi with time travel (wooo~)) and Re:Zero (Psychological Action Mystery with time travel) both series are very good, although the plot can feel a tad slow at some times to me. The last one I would recommend is the Douluo Dalu (Spirit Land) series. The world and characters are very good, although translations aren't very good and the series is originally Chinese. After a certain point though, the series tend to seem to drag on and I tend to drop it at that point. The other thing is that I believe there is a 1, 2, 2.5, and 3, while none of them are complete, simply having the same premise and different timelines, but there's no real sense of completion in the series. Enjoyable read, but don't go expecting something that's going to stick with you for a long time. Oh man, can't believe I almost forgot! I definitely recommend Densetsu no Yuusha Densetsu. It has enthralling characters, an interesting world, and an amazing plot. Seriously. watch it. It's worth it. It has hidden depths, and it's one of the series that I still pay close attention to. The magic systems pretty cool too.

There is an abbreviated name of DanMachi for that one. Yeah, I originally put off watching it for several months due to the name, but it ended up virtually never mentioning it. Can't help but feel it was a bit of a misnomer. I can't remember what Hestia's nickname was, but I can't really remember anything ecchi in the series. Yeah, it seems nowadays that people figure that's what will get more people to buy the series, so they add more of it in, which is honestly pretty sad. It just ends up taking more time/space that could be used for plot and other things. One of the series that I've heard is really good (from so many sources) is the Monogatari series. I don't think it has any ecchiness, and mainly focuses on dialogue and plot, although I do think they give it some action later in the series. There's 4 or 5 seasons of it, and most people seem to say that it's an incredible series. I haven't watched it mainly since I want to have enough time to not just abandon it partway through with how long the whole thing is. Another one that I can think of is Magi. Good characters, great world, incredible plot, etc. I got through 2/3 of the first season, and haven't started it again, but everything about it was incredible. There's also another series about a character that shows up partway through. Even though I haven't finished it, I'd still highly recommend it. Probably the last one I can think of right now is One Punch Man. It's kinda a comedy/action anime with a bit of plot, and is a very fun watch. Of course, these are series that I've enjoyed, so again, not sure if they're you guyses cup o' tea or not.

Never seen Prison School, since I heard it had a lot of ecchi stuff, so I avoided it like the plague. Same thing goes for Highschool DxD. Incredible world, decent characters, but they focus on the ecchi so much that I won't watch it. So I just read fanfiction on it instead.

Yeah, I figured I might be partially biased since it was the first one I ever saw. What about FMA:B? (50% Action, 50% Plot, 150% Pure Epicness) Or Assassination Classroom? (Comedy+Slice of Life and a little bit of Action. Not sure how to describe it much after that.) Or Rokka no Yuusha? (Action and Mystery, not too long, but totally worth it.)

I tried watching the No Game No Life anime, but never made it past the first episode due to that, so I agree. Another anime that has the same basic concept (games, rules have to be followed) is Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? (Problem Children are coming from another world, aren't they?) Although I haven't seen the full thing yet. Another possibility is Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka or DanMachi (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) Which has a semi-rpg concept, and I liked the characters and storyline. Also, the title of the anime/LN has virtually nothing to do with the actual plot. Another one with the whole "game" concept is Sword Art Online (SAO) which was actually the first anime I ever watched. Not sure if it's your cup of tea, but I certainly enjoyed it.

I don't have any official ones either, but a few spots I use are: https://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/?title=Main_Page http://www.readlightnovel.com/ and http://www.novelupdates.com/ Not to mention that a good portion of incredible LNs have been made into anime or manga

I've read some, though mostly web novels, and seen a good bit of anime as well. I'm no connoisseur, by a long shot, but I've got the basics down. The main thing is that there are so many out there, it's a good idea to figure out what genre you enjoy and then mostly stick to those. One that I would wholeheartedly recommend is Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index) which has an anime as well. It's one of the best reads I've had of light novels, and the characters+comedy make it really enjoyable. As for anime, the few that I would advocate are Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Mindblowing. Seriously.) and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Mini P.S: I would also recommend Acchi Kocchi (Place to Place) if you enjoy the most adorable purely comedy anime you will ever see. I know there are many more I simply haven't gotten to or aren't in my tastes, so take a look around and figure out what you're into.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Elithanathile replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
So my sister wanted me to post this one And I decided to post this one as well. You know you're a sanderfan when your first reaction to hearing your sister has finished Mistborn 1 is to grab her in a bear hug, and then drag her away to talk about *SPOILERS* for the next half hour. She's making me so proud! -
Ecthelion And before you die, how'd you come up with the name Ecthelion anyway? Does it have some kind of meaning? The closest I could get was Ec(Name) The Lion.

All I knew was that there was something about a squirrel, and sending it to someone, and I was too lazy to go and look it up. But I have an excuse! I have midterms this week! Ha! I have plausible deniability! (For something. Haven't quite figured out what yet, but if I do commit a crime, I have plausible deniability. (And yes I know that's not how it works.))

PK just likes collecting clothes. He's already taken your hats, now you clothes, what next? I plead to you, members of the cosmere, assist me in defeating this foul creature before he takes our entire lives away from us! This menace must be stopped, and you are the only ones that can do it! Don't let pesky things like emotions get in the way of doing what's necessary for your home, nay, your galaxy! Come, my brothers, and let us lynch him, before he can turn his odd hat n' clothes techniques upon us! (Note, everything above is meant to be a joke, I do not intend to lynch PK.) And to the 'Wilson has a lifeless squirell!' thing, sending it to Roshar was discussed in the WPM last cycle, and it's not evil at all. It's for a good purpose, so no need to freak out about it.

Orlok's on Sel, and Conq is on Nalthis. And yes, I'm basically selling them out. But hey, they were inactive anyway. And I need my Revenge!

Cycle 2-4, and I was there with Orlok, who's been inactive the whole time, Burnt for 3 and 4, Dowanx in 4. There were two others who were there for just 3.

Isn't that more of a compliment? "Hi Sally! You're a terrible murderer today!" ... Yeah, I can see how that might backfire.

I would just like to note that SansSparkles posts, and gets 6 upvotes within a matter of hours. Everyone else is still at zero upvotes. Welcome to the shard. I'll tell Breeze you stole his wine. Soul stamp you so hard you'll think you're a table! Push you in between one of Vin and Elend's cuddle sessions. (They totally have those.) Frame you for taking Wayne's lucky hat. (He killed the last guy that did that, remember?)

I'll wait until a highstorm, then throw you into a chasm and sit back as the chasmfiends rip you to pieces. Leave you in a room with Taln for a week. I'll just go ahead and give Tonk Fah a call then... I hear the inquisitors are looking for new meat. Insinuate to Sadeas that you might possibly have thought about doing something to get in his way. Leave you in Kharbranth's slums with a cold.

So, I was a PM in a SE game, and I realized that what we really need are some good ol' cosmere death threats! Here's the one I used in the PM: So feel free to post any that seem particularly... creative... to you here! "Kill you so hard that you seem lifeless to a Lifeless" (Not one of my better ones) "Kill you, and then force Endowment to bring you back so I can kill you again." "Soulcast you into a dart board, so that every time I stick a knife into it, I don't have to imagine it's your face." These are just some starting ones, so go crazy! (NotLiterallyPleaseDon'tHurtMe)

Since everyone else seems to be revealing their goals, here's mine: Goal 1: Make sure than Shai survives, give her the essence mark I've been holding onto for her, and craft a new one to give to her. I still have no idea where she is, even if she's alive. FAIL Goal 2: End the game with the politician essence mark and items of combined value 20 or more. I have one item with a value of 0. FAIL Goal 3: Master soul forgery, and craft two essence marks to give to other people, who aren't from Sel, and aren't evil. Yeah, I haven't even started to craft one yet, and I don't have mastery yet either. FAIL Are you sure that these goals are balanced, GM people? Because their goals all seem so much easier! Look at STINK! All he had to do was die! (Mini rant over. You can all come back now.)
