  1. I'm being very RP focused this game, and since I don't have any real suspicions yet, let me put it this way. Both I and my character despise Wilem's guts. The MoA would kill him and leave him for the vultures in a heartbeat. But he can't, so he's trying to inconvenience him as much as possible instead, hopefully getting him expelled. If a skindancer is revealed, he'll focus on that as his priority, but right now, he just wants Wilem dead/insane/expelled/all three. Three out of four, thank you very much. The first round was when I was actually going on minor RP suspicions as well as the tuition reduction. Now he just wants Wilem dead, so the double-vote.
  2. (Kill Wil Kill Wil Kill WIl Kill Wil.) or at least the crockery. After hearing the outburst, the MoA decided that he had more paperwork to fill out. Even if he couldn't directly kill the fool, due to his constraints, he would certainly do his best to make his life miserable. Before he left, he pointed in the direction where the shout had come from, and calmly stated "Break," while fixing his target in mind. Hopefully the idiot would step onto the now broken stair, and break his leg. One could only hope. The MoA sighed, resigned to his fate. Some times he would rather be the sword rather than the mind, but he had his duty, to sniff out the skindancers and kill them. He leapt from the roof, murmuring under his breath as wind gusted in a powerful wave, first slowing his fall, and then pushing him up and outwards, propelling him to another roof, where he repeated the process. He thought as he soared through the air, avoiding busy sections attempting to avoid being spotted as he traveled in low arcs across the campus. He had followed several different students so far, but had seen no sign of a drop-off, whispered muttering with another student, or anything of the like. Either he was picking the wrong targets, or the skindancers had a method of doing things that was abnormal. Says the guy flying through the sky to save time like it was nothing, he thought sarcastically. He couldn't rule out telepathy as an option, and nobody really knew the full capabilities of skindancers. Akasha had chosen to keep that information hidden. Sometimes, he really despised that repository of knowledge. "Go on and kill these things before they take over the planet, they are very dangerous and will kill without a second thought! What, tell you who they are? Or what they can do? or how they do it? Or any information besides the fact that they exist? But that would take all the fun out of it! This is your first job, and it has to be exciting, thrilling, and action-packed. I want to be glued to the edge of my seat as I stuff popcorn into my mouth! Now go forth, and save the world!" ... he really despised Akasha sometimes. Apparently one world was only worth entertainment to her. Well, even if he failed, he though, she can probably send someone else. But that might end up being a lot more... deadly... to the people of the area, so the MoA would do this job to the best of his ability. So that no one else here would have to die again.
  3. Yeah, no cosmere, but I find it very possible that megan could check out the other YA worlds after the apocalypse guard series. (Mini-hoid!) As it seems to me that whenever she dies, she accesses an omniverse, and accessing a multiverse is just a step away from that.
  4. The MoA watched from a hidden cubbyhole around the university as he saw Wilem approaching a young girl on a roof, and took note of the almost savage leer upon his face at the time. It was obvious his intentions were less that pure, as if he was trying to be kind, he could have used a multitude of methods to place the dress on the roof without going up personally. The MoA wanted to interfere very badly, but he was commanded to not interfere, so he was forced to grit his teeth and watch the meeting from the shadows, clenching and unclenching his fists. Even if Wilem wasn't a skindancer, he wasn't someone the MoA would miss if he happened to fall from grace in the university. A few anonymous notes in certain offices, and the masters would get the point... The MoA slipped away through the shadows once more, glad that at least this action hadn't been foiled. There are... SO many people revealing where they are staying. Is this a trend? Giving out free information? Because that is free information. I have no way of telling if your location is real or not, but the less information shared with potential skindancers, the better I'd say. I'm all for sharing suspicions and complaints, and this might just be me here, but I tend to hold all my cards close to my chest, so I get a little paranoid when people start giving out information. This is probably just me being insane here, but I've shared my view, and I'm not taking it back.
  5. The MoA felt excitement from behind him and the corner of his mouth quirked upwards almost imperceptibly. It looked like he had accidentally done something good. Well, he really didn't mind, as that one under the table didn't seem as bad as the others. The MoA did sneeze right afterwards though. Nope, I remembered, which is why I phrased it so that they fell down, I never said anything about them actually hitting. I actually thought about your character being under the table, and decided to let it be, instead of doing something that would attack all three of you. Happy that I could help.
  6. The MoA (Mind of Akasha) was mildly disgusted at the students of this school. They called themselves a university, and were here to study, not stalk each other in libraries, or throw suspicion like mud at their fellow students in hopes of earning favor from the masters and spending less money. Didn't any of them realize that the skindancers were among them, and had already started killing? Money was worth nothing to the dead, and at this rate, many of the students would be before this was resolved. But that was why the MoA had been called, to stop this before it spread. But it was not time yet to reveal himself. He had to stay hidden for now, play his cards from the shadows, and only take action when it was necessary. That was wisdom. He murmured "Vanish," and his outline slowly faded into the shadows of the stacks, leaving no trace of his presence, but not before mentally marking Touka Kirishima. Touka couldn't run now, and as soon as it was time, MoA would make his move. But it was not time yet, and the MoA would let the so called "masters" of this school handle the inquiry themselves. They had no idea what they were getting into, but they would be useful while they survived. As the MoA left the library, still completely translucent, he calmly said "shake," and one of the bookcases in the stacks began to shift from side to side, dropping a load of books upon the three in the library. It wasn't the MoA's mission, but he took a small amount of pleasure from the action anyway.
  7. Adavantos, when you get back, to respond to your last post, one of said people rooting for my death is you, so.... yeah. Your point is kinda backfiring there. Also, no godmodding other people's chars to drink when they don't want to Wyrm. Just no.
  8. Do I get a forum nickname? BB is more of an abbreviation than anything, really. And now I'm feeling slightly left out of the forum loop.
  9. How has my playstyle changed? I thought I'd been pretty standard with this style in the last couple of games. (I was a villager in said last couple of games, for the record.) Also, could you explain the "Rae-BB-Kyn Connection" to those of us who don't get it? (Like me. I haven't talked to those two at all besides in the thread, and I can assure you there is no connection.) *Looks back at last two posts* *Nods in agreement*
  10. You will notice that I responded to other people as well, not just the person who voted for me. You voting on me and me posting are unconnected. I also notice that you didn't remove your vote after saying that the vote had already done it's job, which insinuates you either still don't trust me, and want me to die, or that you just didn't care enough to change your vote. (I have done that before, and that was a game I seriously regretted.) Check my post last page for why I didn't switch my vote. If anything, if I was an eliminator, and you are suspecting me of intentionally not voting on Rae, then it would make more sense to vote for them, as they would die anywhere, and it would throw suspicion off of me. Trust me, I had no idea that Rae's allegiance had been revealed at all until earlier today.
  11. Could I get an explanation as to why you'd vote for me? We have more to go off of analysis wise if you give your reasons, as well as me being able to defend myself against your reasons. I usually try to RP a lot (and look! It's coming useful for LG18!) but I also try and have something useful in the majority of my posts. I have had exceptions to that this game though.I've never been good at the whole player analysis thing, so I mostly go off of minor things from memory, like changed patterns in playstyle, but since we have a few people I haven't played with before, it's tricky. I also try and read through the thread, and then if I get a general feeling of "Eliminator," from someone, I'll vote for them, but that just about never happens. As this is my playstyle, I do tend to agree with other people's votes quite a bit, especially if the vote is from someone who I got a feel of "good" from, as in my vote on LUNA. I often think "Oh yeah, their reasons make sense, so I'll agree with them, and try and kill this person." I do wish I was better at the actual analysis, but I tend to run by instinct more often, and I do believe I've nabbed a few Eliminators by it before. STINK revealed Arranae as a traitor? I don't have the email notifications, so I tend to miss things in the thread in the couple hours between visits, or more if it's between about 9:10 AM MST and 3:00 PM MST. And then if the cycle's switched over, I usually don't even look at the old one, and just read the results, as there's nothing I could do to change them at that point. So I had no idea that STINK had revealed Rae, and even if I did know, it would still be too late for me to change my vote, as the cycle had ended. On a side note of my schedule, I also won't get on or even look at the thread on Sunday. And in my opinion, your gut feeling is the best. You say you don't have much information on Kyn and me, but you put a vote on someone that you don't have much information on? I don't really have a problem with it, it just seems a little odd to me, as well as all the reasons you posted for your vote on me were things that I had done that were minorly useful to the village, not any actual reasons why I might be an eliminator, so I'm afraid I don't quite find your reasons sufficient for a vote on someone, but hey, it's your vote.As for myself, I'm going to vote on Kynedath. As someone already pointed out, I don't think that a "social experiment" is worth being intentionally inactive for multiple cycles. At least I'm trying to stay active. I also find it very suspicious that you leave for two cycles, then come back, say why you were gone, and then the next post is saying that you'll be inactive for even more cycles. At this point, even if you're not an eliminator, (and your playstyle so far fits with the "lurker" profile of eliminators) you're a detriment to the village, and I honestly think we're kinda better off without you, besides a possible meat shield that adds to our numbers against the eliminators. Edit: P.S. Haven't made a post this long in a while, and not certain if I ever have in SE.
  12. I have no idea what this even is. But 3 different posts for rules text?!?! I'm in. There were rumors of a student who had been the victim of sympathy gone wrong, who had gone mad from binding his mind to the Akashic records. He had been known as a genius, but now he never spoke, barely ate, and spent his time in the rookery drawing strange symbols on the floor and walls. Then one day, he looked up, his long black hair shadowing his eyes, ragged clothing showing ribs clearly visible through his skin. He cocked his head to the side as if listening to some nonexistent sound. Then he faced the wall, and spoke for the first time in years. "Break," he commanded, his voice filled with power to crush mountains and bury seas. The wall shattered outwards into pieces, none bigger than a fingernail. He spoke again. "Repair," his clothing stitching itself back up, gaining thread from nowhere, until it was once again the uniform of a El'the. "Firm," and the air shimmered outside his new doorway, forming a path to into the sky. The Mind of Akasha strode out. There was going to be bloodshed at this school, and he was commanded to put a stop to it. Using whatever means possible. Yes, I'm putting his name down as "Mind of Akasha."
  13. Sorry about not being on for 29 hours, yesterday was Sunday, and I don't usually get on the computer at all on Sunday. I was talking about the write up, not the actual act of dying. I'm fine with dying, but do you know how hard it is to properly stab someone with a butter knife? Let me tell you, it is hard. And very, very wimpy for the guy who stood there and let someone slowly attempt to grind a butter knife into him right outside the door to the inn. I don't feel I was represented properly there. So yeah, revenge. I will aim for Elbereth though now. Glad to have the right target for my evil plot.
  14. You know, Sam thought, I really do have a history with bad employers. There was Dogan, who ended up leading him into an ambush, Brax, who was unknowingly hired by the feds, and Upstad, who tried to get him to hack into a system that would overwrite his brain, not to mention blowing up the city. And possibly Yolen, Sam mentally added to the list. Sam never went back on a contract, but he was seriously rethinking his policy at this point. Six dead now, and one a confirmed cop. You'd think Yolen's screening would be better. Unless this was on purpose. Drag rumors of a big job through the underworld for a while, steadily building up to it, attracting the best mistrunners like sharks to chum. Then get them in one spot, give them meaningless tasks to do to occupy them, (This last one was only half working) and kill them off one by one with your own plants. (Spies, moles, saboteurs, however you will.) And honestly, it didn't help that half the people killed so far were due to mistrunners killing each other. Just take five minutes to hack into their pad, honestly, and you could probably find out something from that, instead of shooting a killing someone in a messed up mockup of a "duel." If you're going to kill someone to go through his pockets to see if he's a traitor, why not just go through his pockets before he has a while through his head. Or stomach. Or anywhere on his anatomy. Sam was starting to wonder whether all these people were the professionals the professed to be. He was wondering the same thing about Yolen. Sam woke up an opened his eyes, stretching after his long nap. He had some more tracing on Yolen. It seemed like his name was a fake, but Sam had expected that. There was always something past that. There is always another secret. (In all seriousness, I have had a GM turned evil before in these games, and it wouldn't surprise me if Yolen turned out the same. Remember Meal? Because I remember. A butter knife Mailliw. A butter knife. I still have the PM of that. I will get you for that one day.)
  15. I would just like to add to this insightful conversation... All the :P's.... Seriously. Go back and look at them all. It's insane.
  16. Only one epic as of now, but hopefully more in the future. Corvallis
  17. About to first post Corvallis with PK. Any issues with that, or are we free to go. It shouldn't interrupt any action sequences going on, just introduce the characters.
  18. Yeah, Murphy. Not sure why I thought there was a "B." That's my bad. But it was fun seeing you all try and figure out who it was with my wrongly erroneous description. I could also make a Corvallis post, as I think I'll be joining there, although Salem also looks like a blast. "Come on Seef, we got some reckoners to kill/toy with until they give up on life."
  19. So what is the general situation in Corvallis and Salem? I also heard to stay away from a certain epic, (Name started with "B," makes all my swords disappear) And I don't want to end up in the same city as him.
  20. So if Portland is closed to epics, and I think the Dalles might be too, which ones are open, and why should my character go there. I'm aware of Astoria's availability, but I want to team up with Cannon Fodder, and I don't think ol' CF could survive there.
  21. I don't know yet. I'm still trying to figure it out, but yeah, sword skills can't beat a powerful precog. It could probably take out fortuity though. I am thinking I'll send him to Portland or the Dalles though. Anyone have any issues with that? Yeah, I know I wouldn't get a carte blanche (whatever that is) on massacring them, I just figured I could do some basic cleanup, while doing some writing, while hopefully furthering the plot. And I was planning to contact the epic ex-owners before I killed any. And I'm referring to PK my brother.
  22. Okay, so now I just need to figure out the city I'll be in... Thanks everyone for all the feedback you gave me so I could make this character awesome! P.S. My brother brought up that there are a lot of dropped epics that nobody uses anymore in cities. Would it be possible to take those, and have my guy fight against them, if they have been dropped? I'm guessing I'd have to contact the owners of the epics, but it would be a chance to practice with my char and to give some closure to the dropped guys. Not all of them, but hopefully some of them.
  23. That happened? That's interesting, but probably trying to get you to suspect us. I have no connection to Rae at all, and have no idea why they would do that. (For the record, I could totally fix that tablet in 30 seconds normally. I was just told to never accept tablets from strangers. And mom was right!) Edit: I was told in a PM that some of my posts might look like me roleclaiming hacker. I'm not intentionally roleclaiming at all, that's just my character, and I planned for him to act like that from the beginning.
  24. My brother is getting the audiobook of it. So after he listens to it, which will take a month or so, I can listen to it. And until then.... Have you guys heard of the calamity spoiler board? I think you put spoilers there. As opposed to here, where poor saps like me who haven't actually read the book yet lurk. Just a suggestion... I have no idea what you put in there, but I have this urge to click on a spoiler tag every time I see one, and you guys aren't helping. So please, be kind, and don't kill me slowly any more than you already have. On a side note, now that I've drastically reduced Falchions weapons, could I bring his age down again?
