Favourite character of Elantris
Bronzeheart replied to missionaryofgod's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
I loved Galladon. He was the perfect foil to Raoden's perpetual optimism and I thought his cynicism was hilarious. Hrathen was definitely a close second though, and I think he's among the most complex and sympathetic characters Brandon has ever written. -
I would totally love to see Liam Neeson as Prof! I'm not too optimistic either, but we can hope right?

One thing I've noticed is that stuff can escalate quickly around here. Not only that, but topics can move out to left field in ways you can't predict, even with ESP. Here, have an anti-logic muffin. I ate one for breakfast and ended up walking on the ceiling.

Got to admit...that's one of the more colorful expressions I've heard. And yet it's strangely appropriate.

That's actually one of the best explanations of Allomantic mechanics that I've heard. It definitely makes it easier for me to understand. Thanks.

Yes I would get it down, because turtles are awesome and don't deserve that . Doesn't change the fact though that I'd probably laugh while I was putting it back on the ground.

Welcome to the 17th Shard, my friend! I present to you a delicious muffin and an upvote. I would love to hear your theory. Sometimes even the most boring of theories can give us another angle to think about.

Here are some of my all-time favorite characters from the fictional realm. Books: Sazed, Vin (Mistborn Trilogy) Wayne (Alloy of Law) Deryn Sharp (Leviathan Trilogy) Severus Snape (Harry Potter) Stephanie Plum (One for the Money) Games: Mega Man (Mega Man series) Kite (.hack series) Toan (Dark Cloud) Cliff Fittir (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time)

I believe you're right. When Wax tapped all of his weight at once at the end of AoL, he weighed enough to smash an entire building with his Push. It's almost like that card game War in that the higher card (or weight in this instance) wins the battle. When the weights are equal, then it probably comes down to who is pushing harder rather than luck.

Interesting simile. I see it kinda like a post turtle (for those not in the know, a turtle that has been put upside down on a fence post). You feel bad for laughing at it, don't know how the blasted thing got there in the first place, and you just can't help but feel sorry for it.

Hello all! Any other BYU grads out there?
Bronzeheart replied to Sdg10's topic in Introduce Yourself!
Tempting idea, but no. I know a guy who knows a guy though that could get ya some shrooms. Either that or you could find a certain fat Italian plumber lol -

My muffins contain no spikes, though you may become temporarily immune to logic after eating them. I had one this morning and found that I could divide by 0. -

I didn't graduate from BYU but I did attend for a year trying to apply to the business school. That didn't work out due to personal issues I had at the time, but I did have a chance to meet Brandon personally and I have 4 of my books autographed by him. On a completely different tangent, have a banana blueberry muffin -
Yes Panda I'm dead serious. He had apparently given himself a concussion before trying to get out of his car, so he decided to take extreme caution afterwards.

One bad thing about being tall is the whole "banging your head on everything" bit. I knew a guy that was 6'8" and had this habit of carrying a hard hat around with him.

I've never been into poetry, but that was masterful. This is the first time a poem made me laugh, and I thank you for that.

Yeah I noticed that and was appropriately shocked. They've got a meme now that says something like, "It took only six movies, but I finally ran out of arrows."

Playing Musical Instruments anyone ?
Bronzeheart replied to Queen Elsa Steelheart's topic in Entertainment Discussion
At the risk of sounding like a Legend of Zelda fanboy, I can play the ocarina. I'd also like to learn the drums in the future. -
I would highly recommend the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. It has some elements of romance, but I don't believe there is anything more serious than the occasional kiss scene. It's definitely one of my top two favorite non-Sanderson fantasy series.

Mistborn Character Poll Who would you be?
Bronzeheart replied to mistwannabeborn's topic in Mistborn
Definitely have to go with Sazed here. I really connected with him as I was reading the book and his desire to serve others. Also, I just think Feruchemy is awesome and would be the more practical than Allomancy. Then again, I'm something of an outdoorsman, so I might be slightly biased If I had to choose one of the above metals to burn, I'd pick Copper. Being able to hide myself from other Allomancers would be useful, plus there's the upside of being immune to Soothers and Rioters. -
Finally decided to officially join

Hey, Warbreaker is also really good. I'm slowly converting most of my co-workers into Sanderfans. Resistance is futile *cue maniacal laughter* -
Welcome! I offer delicious muffins of assorted varieties and friendship, no strings attached. I have to admit that I also geek out over Brandon's books. In fact, I've converted a few of my co-workers and family members to the light.

Yay! I always loved watching the Roadrunner and Coyote growing up. I also like reading Dilbert and realizing that I've actually had bosses in the past that are just as dumb as the Pointy-Haired Evil One
