"You," the Koch brother, have very different social interests from "you," the regular person. A hands-off attitude benefits the ones who can enforce power their own way (through money, ownership of media outlets and places of employment, etc.).

    What you're describing as an "ideal" libertarian is a right libertarian. Essentially, freedom of everyone to do anything, including dominating and suppressing the freedom of others. That's why the apparent contradiction of right on one axis, left on the other. Trotskyist with the occasional tiny anarchist leaning.
