  1. So I'm watching Daredevil season 2 right now and I just had this thought: When a certain woman is trying to walk into heavily guarded and secured place, they can't let her even bring the paper clips* with her. But they do let her wear high heels. Why? You can totally kill someone with high heels. O.o EDIT: Forgot the word "clips".
  2. Oh, I totally do rude gestures. My phone has seen so many rude gestures, I can't even count. xD But they do drive me crazy. They are still insisting that I am imagining my depression, because I don't "sound depressed" when I talk to them once a week (oh well). And apparently they think that by constantly critizicing me and shouting at me, and telling me that I gave up, they are supportive. They also said I'm lying to them (I'm not, but I'm not telling whole truth, because I do have self-preservation instincts). They are absolutely ridiculous and ignorant, and I fight with them for my whole life, and now I'm just done. I can't do it anymore. A good thing is that when I am angry with my parents my depression gets better, because I hate them and not myself. That's a good side of it. As soon as I am financially independent from my parents (after I finish university, which probably is going to be a year longer than I wanted, but I'll manage hopefully) I plan on escaping somewhere. Maybe I'll just move into another flat in Scotland and won't give them address, or maybe I'll move to Switzerland, because Switzerland seems cosy. But I'm done with these people. I don't want to know them.
  3. My flatmate doesn't spend a lot of time at the flat. But still he confirmed today that whenever he hears shouting from my room, he knows I'm talking with my parents on Skype. My parents are so bad, omg. I can't take them.
  4. Every Goverment ever: "You owe us money". Nothing surprising here, really.
  5. I bought myself a new pillow. It's soft. Now I can die happy.
  6. That was me. But I only look like mature 12, in fact I am 21, but no one ever believes me. It's not my fault I am immortal. Obviously it's a joke... or is it? xD
  7. Oh, we're talking about Australia. Now it makes sense. Sorry, I just imagined something, and it didn't make sense and I've got totally confused here. Too much fan fiction... O.o
  8. What never happens? O.o
  9. Something with Sherlock Holmes?
  10. Guys, I really need help. I like this trailer, but I can't understand it fully, because they talk a lot off-screen. Like a lot, and the voices that talk are similar. And I am really, really bad at recognising voices, so I have ansolutely no idea, which sentence is said by who in this trailer (unless I see it). I need a transctiprion/description of this trailer that states clearly (in writing) who's saying what. Do you maybe know where I can find such a thing? So far google didn't help. Or maybe there is a kind soul here that could write it down for me? I'd be super grateful.
  11. Well, I don't know how it is in Poland, or other unis in UK, but my uni specifically states that they almost never allow repeating of the year. O.o
  12. I'm pretty sure everyone wants a plant that they can't see outside the window. If you have lots of cacti outside the window, you don't want potted cacti. Well, in Poland we have no wild cacti. I just seek exotic (for me) stuff. But I have to admit that everytime I need to plant my cacti in a bigger pot I suddenly start to hate them.
  13. As the owner of 3 lovely cacti, I have to disagree. I love my cacti. I want more.
  14. Am I the only ones that doesn't like pugs? O.o
  15. Ooooh. Now I understand it. Though I haven't see the movie.
  16. I don't know. I'll need to ask if the whole repeat idea is even possible. But to be hinest I don't want to keep any credits I've earned this year. My marks are pathetic, I would love to improve them.
  17. I killed it. I'm a thread and conversation murderer. Hah, thanks a lot. And seriously it's not like I actually require people to reply to me, so don't worry. I just wanted to share my bad day somewhere, people don't need to reply to that. Also today I've got a really bad cold or something and highest fever I had in at least 5 or even 10 years. No it's not a high fever it's just 100 degrees F (37.8C) but I just never get fevers at all, so I feel really terrible. O.o Also I seriously started to think about taking an interruption from uni right now and then just repeat the whole year. That's just an idea so far, and I really need to think about it, but I'm just struggling so much that I actually started to think that it might be a reasonable thing to do.
  18. Mistborn? To be honest I have no idea.
  19. I have to say that I don't understand this attitude against older books. Really 1987 is not even that old, and there are plenty of great fantasy and sci-fi books published in XX century. I actually enjoy some of them more than Sanderson's books. Yeah, some of the older books might feel a little cliche, but it's because they created the cliche.
  20. Well. So I just came back from an appointment with a clinical psychologist. Now I'm officialy weird. She said I'm going to get it in writing. O.o I seriously don't know what to feel about it. I kind of expected that, to be honest, but it's still shocking.
  21. I don't know really. The plot was kinda weak for me, the main character was way to OP and Mary Sue for first two books (only in the third they explained any cons of his powers...). I also didn't like the way it was written. Maybe that's just my personal taste. I liked Robin Hobb's books (though the newest series is kinda meh), but I did not enjoy Naomi Novik much. Especially her Uprooted is just one big mistake. It's terrible, uhh. Why would you feign interest? I just plainly tell people "look, I don't read the books that I consider stupid"... Maybe that's why I have no friends. O.o
  22. I am actually constantly thinking whether I should read Lightbringer. Almost everyone seems to like it, but the Night Angel trilogy was simply so bad that I can't make myself read anything else by the same author.
  23. Well. I'm not from US, so the only thing I know about this guy is that he is a politician that says stuff that apparently no one likes, but I think the video was really funny.
  24. Not only "really big" families. I once knew a girl that have 2 brothers. One is 20 years older and the other 26 years older. And that's all the kids in the family. I also knew a guy that had a 30 year older sister and no ther siblings. He is actually younger than one of his nieces. And his parents are older than my grandparents. I also happen to have a 1st cousin once remoed (so basically like my distant uncle) that's like 6 years old now. But that's because my grandmother has a lot of siblings.
