Another pet peeve? The Lol, jk ending a lot of horror movies have. You know, the conflict is resolved, but wait...No it wasn't! That was a bald faced lie, and now Freddy is driving your school bus into a gorge. It's just terrible.

I have no idea what you're talking about. That's understandable, though, since I'm on a whole other level, I simply can not be bothered by vulgar Internet culture

No. Straight people would be right handed and gay people would be lefties. Sheesh! What do they teach people at schools these days?

That's just merely defining @Delightful You want a novel where everything is hunky dory? Writing healthy relationships is hard. It comes off as either too saccharine or too personal/intimate. It also isn't a good source of conflict or character development. Part of rooting for a character is that you want them to overcome and succeed. You can't have that if they are all ready perfectly successful. -

It's part of the escapist nature of genre fiction. People want to get the girl/guy, they want to be incredibly important, they want to be able to effectively combat their tormentors. Addressing those needs gives a work broader appeal. As a result, the protagonist tends to be an outcast because a lot of the audience feel outcast. The protagonist pursues a love interest because a lot of the audience want to pursue a love interest, and so forth. -

Only if you frame it as a dialog between Beaker and Dr Honeycutt. -

Well, I would consider the following: have you ever considered checking out the anthology series edited by Martin and Snodgrass called Wild Cards? -

"A guy that will hold me" and "social needs" are kinda two different desires, the latter being far less intimate than the previous. As a result, any friend that fulfils social needs will invariably fall short in the intimate needs. -
Kestrels seem considerably small! Is that about their average size?

Man, mobile posting is weird! But for the sake of jokes @Cognizantastic But there might be some hyperbole in her reaction...it's hard to tell when I do not know the person. What I mean is that some people are more expressive when they enjoy something. For example, when one eats something they find tasty, the reaction could be anywhere from saying "that was really good" to screaming "oh God, yes!" As soon as they taste the food. -

That's when you tag her in a photo of Johnny Cash giving the bird Remember, you are now adulting all by yourself, and have been for a few months now! You are almost at the point where the only power Twi mom will have over you is whatever you decide to give her. So though you may not be as confrontational as I would be, it may be time you treat your mother like the petulant child she is and give her a time out. -
Depends on your mood. Want something lighter? Read Stephen King. Want something heavier? Read Malazan. I've known people who love both. I've only read the first two books in the Dark Tower and the entirety of Malazan.

Just remember, it's not about the guy, it's about you. No one is entitled to your attention, even civil lunch room conversation. He might not like it, but you will be helping him learn important social cues. Personally, I would also let your best friend know. Particularly in high school, it's good to have allies in these sorts of situations. -

I am too. It's frustrating when people just don't have a clue. Like when I hear someone say "(someone other than Tom Baker) was the best actor to play the Doctor!"

Mine has a tray on the bottom that can be removed. Unplug, use a dry brush of some kind to get as much crumbs off the side as you can, and empty that tray. I never used water...simply because that seems like a bad idea.

Might need a little cleaning. My toaster did that recently, and now after I cleaned it, it's better.

That reminds me of a chapter from The Winds in the Willow. The relevant passage I've set up in the spoilers, though the entire chapter is great and I've linked to it. http://www.cleavebooks.co.uk/grol/grahame/wind09.htm -

The main issue with the Christmas thing I foresee is one where you lack transportation to get away if need be. If you had that, do what you want to do. You could always leave, and they would know that (hopefully). Other than that, I would minimize your stay there. That's just how I might react, though. Honestly, I think you underestimate your ability and capabilities to resolve your current quandaries.
