    Random Orlion commentary: don't become risk averse. Taking risks is how you grow with new experiences and develop. Being smart about when to take risks is not the same as not taking any risks at all.

    Credit is easy (the concept, not actually getting it). The idea is that you want to appeal to creditors. This boils down to making payments on time AND paying plenty of interest. This translates into the creditors seeing that you are fiscally responsible AND that they can make money off of you. Debt is not necessarily bad, in fact, Hamilton was all for having a national debt. Debt implies an investment on someone's part, which leads to monetary growth and, more importantly for everyone, currency movement.

    It depends on the style. I was taught to write it without the 's' (so Elantris') but that can cause confusion because that's what you also do with possession by a plural noun (like cats' legal rights in Istanbul). For the sake of communication, and art, one can shuffle things around. The Hope of Elantris. The Kansas city's glyphs. The Elantrian streets.

So Twi would be a smidgen under homosexuality, but for most practical purposes can be considered gay. A helicopter is a vehicle that uses gyroscoptic witchcraft to fly.

    I feel I should offer a counterpoint: I abandoned many toxic beliefs in large part because they were ridiculed. This should not distract from Twi's point, I merely note that no method of illuminating the dark minds of our time is universal, though there are some common characteristics. The paramount characteristic: a willingness to share ideas and improve on them. Twi was open to sharing her ideas and allowing others to share theirs, as was I. I do not see Twimom doing the same, and any discussion with her or like individuals would be a tedious, irritating exercise in futility. And that is where you need to evaluate your friend. It's not so much, "Does she have an open mind" but "Does she allow other viewpoints to exist around her?"

    It should be noted that the whole "I don't want to go out, but I don't want to hurt their feelings" is pretty much wanting to have one's cake and eat it too. You just have to accept that a lot of times, it's not possible to do both at the same time. All you can do is act on your desire and follow Delightful's advice so that you aren't a jerk while doing so.
