  1. Is it really introvertism or social awkwardness, a shortage of essential vitamins/minerals and a touch of stoicism?
  2. I would say Hoid has not really discussed anything philosophically...his attitude is more that of an older man imparting wisdom to some whippersnappers. He seems, to me, to be speaking about what he had learned from experience rather than from some analytical model.
  3. Reading Free Fall by William Golding. On a somewhat related note, it's interesting how "difficult" it is to find a Golding book that isn't Lord of the Flies.
  4. Well, at least I still have my Werther's!
  5. *Smack!* I don't *Smack!* see why *Smack!* this is such a *Smack!* big deal with you!
  6. That has a nice ring to it During that time, he was my favorite author. I had just finished State of Fear and NEXT... When I read that he had died, the bitterness and theme of NEXT made so much more sense to me... Crichton, even if I do not agree with him, had interesting ideas to convey and encouraged intelligent dialogue. The public lost something great that day, and to this day I will remember him from time to time, sigh, and state out loud "I miss Michael Crichton."
  7. Ugh...those are so annoying! It's one of those bs "I've proclaimed Jesus once this week, so I can return to being a terrible human being with no eternal consequences!" Jesus might call it being a "white washed tomb" if it wasn't closer to being white trash.
  8. You say "anti-social loner" I say "rational autonomous entity." You know, potato patato.
  9. Agreed on your spoilered portion, it worked at being a nice resolution and carrying Dipper along his three-dimensional development. And I also have to say, I think Toby Determined is one of the most entertaining side-characters I've seen in a while.
  10. I... not only agree but actually kinda care. The whole Wendip deal got dangerously close to being tediously annoying, whereas what we see in Northwestern Mansion Noir was fantastic. *sniff* Shame someone was cutting an onion during that episode...
  11. Don't forget iTunes! You can also find sped-up crappy versions on You-tube... so yeah... there's that. It also looks like Disney XD is going to do a marathon of them here soon... like Sunday? I don't know, I don't have cable.
  12. I prefer Dalinar and Hoid's Excellent Adventure.
  13. Finished my first watch-through of Gravity Falls... and now, the months wait between the final episodes begin!
  14. Yeah, Roshar isn't known for it's enlightenment on gender issues
  15. Yeah, it's probably not wise to enemize each other, what with being immune to each other's brand of existential terror.... but together, we can bring exquisite despair to the Shard!! Mwahaha!
  16. 23 %! Being this obsessive might be unhealthy...but hey, none of you are my real mom anyway!
  17. I kinda went waaaaay overboard last Feed your enemies to Relganosh day... I'm not sure if I'll be able to celebrate it when it comes around again!Which is why I need to make some new enemies... Hey, Morzathoth! Your mother wears combat boots!
  18. Morzathoth is in a sunny meadow, when he is swarmed by fluffy corgis in cute outfits and husky puppies. "We love you, Morzathoth...and we always will!" "No...no! Nooooooo!" Morzathoth wakes up in a cold sweat...thank the Abyss it was only a nightmare! He looks out a window and sees a corgi staring at him with love and understanding in its eyes. Morzathoth screams. End scene.
  19. For having an avatar that evolves!
