  1. He made an in-world avatar called the God Beyond to give people something to look at while dealing with him because his true self will melt the brains of cosmere denizens in their attempts to comprehend him. However that avatar was too well made and possessed too much of Brandon's image, and thus became self-aware. He still does what Brandon says, however, out of reverence.
  2. It's never necessary to read anything else though. The cosmere references will just go way over your head, which defeats the point of reading cosmere books.
  3. I wonder if it's possible to administer lifeless command phrases over the phone? Then we can just install a miniature button in a sealed box as a detonator for a more mundane nuke with a lifeless cricket inside.
  4. Nobody said anything about Vasher being a worldhopper, but he was hardly the only person involved in the project . . .
  5. While there are probably people who would rather not see her in everything, you do have a point that the look works.
  6. And thus Khriss first introduces herself before her own books even get published in any form. So close too. She's a living character in White Sand right? Decking Ati in the face was strangely satisfying. I'm on with the Hoed thing. "Died but did not" sounds like the broken Shaod in a way. Frozen in a state where the physical body is basically dead but the connection of their soul to the physical realm is still intact, perhaps? Plus, dumping bodies into a shardpool is a stupid idea apparently.
  7. But what else would auditory static/censorship blurring sound like?
  8. Maybe feruchemy gives off very weak pulses? Allomancy is always dramatic and probably pulls a good-sized current of power from Preservation, and might be immediately obvious to bronze senses, while feruchemy always has the impression of deriving power from innate investiture (much weaker power source) in relatively small trickles and rarely released at an extreme pace except by compounders.
  9. Duralumin burns out almost instantly, I think, but there does appear to be a delay like with the metals the duralumin is flaring. Or I could be remembering it wrong. Of course it could mean that it is flaring itself by its own effects when burned. I don't think anyone has burned it without burning something else first so we've never seen it burning by itself.
  10. It helps thst being invested does not directly fuel their powers, but instead appears to affect how much of the real fuel they can draw into themselves in the same span of time. With stormlight what you see is what you get.
  11. The Lord Ruler never found any sort of bands. His powers were entirely his own and that which he gave himself using the the power of Ascension. If his bracers had similar properties to allow him to compound his power further though, I would not be surprised. Though I'm not sure procuring nicrosil would be possible in the Empire. This set of Bands were likely manufactured by the Sovereign, as there is a key fact about them that TLR wouldn't bother to build into his own tools: the feruchemical charges were all unkeyed to identity and were meant to be used by anyone.

    Harmonium

Well I suppose it's a scientific right for a discoverer of a new thing to get to name it. Naming conventions are more a formality to emphasize patterns or for convenience.
  13. It's not all that's there. She does all the excessive planning as before, but also starts to admit more that she realizes how little it helps and that she only does it to feel more secure. Her shining moments of attempting to pull her weight for the team in Bands are in fact mostly the ones where she tries to ad lib her way through things, like the deal with Allik's captain. Or trying to shoot a guy on top of a train.
  14. "Framed for murder" being on Page 17 as a delayed punchline made it even better.
  15. Atium doesn't explode though. Which isn't even a special trait, as an entire group of elements on the periodic table explodes in water at decent quantities. Perfectly natural phenomenon.
  16. Would it be possible for one to have metalborn children if the child was conceived while they were temporarily given power by medallions, maybe? I mean, they tap feruchemical brass constantly when they don't need to translate things.
  17. And all spren are splinters. I agree with your point, the Stormfather is likely not that simple in origin considering the strangeness surrounding the origin of Roshar itself, but that argument has issies.
  18. You know, considering what the handholding did to the Basin's development (or lack thereof) I actually would not be entirely surprised if Sazed seriously intended them to just die for a bit.
  19. Being fully weightless isn't as awesome as it sounds. Your ironminds still weigh you down after all.
  20. Did you just double post then re-double post with an edit? O_O I know I've read that fragment on the internet before, at least. No longer remember how though.
  21. Well, maybe Elantris.
  22. Implying everything else in the cosmere doesn't appear to be made out of investiture? With that confusing issue aside it seems Adonalsium himself shaped Roshar.
  23. Brandon Sanderson's #1 fan is the elusive individual called the God Beyond.
  24. We might as well just go with "Sovereign" as he was first introduced before Wax started assuming he was the Lord Ruler and began calling him that. Rolls off the tongue better than One Spike Man honestly. And doesn't make him sound like a certain guy who is a hero for fun and defeats enemies with just one punch.
  25. Because this "new" atmosphere is just the atmosphere before the World of Ash. Sazed merely fixed them to be like what humans were originally, as they were modified before by TLR. As the South was an unmodified backup he has nothing to fix in terms of respiratory systems, organ structure, etc. The temperature thing seems to be something else entirely compared to biology, because the coppermind of the Sovereign suggests that they were freezing up in what is actually a perfectly mild temperature that at most might be on the somewhat chilly side.
