Well her hair changes color obviously. There are probably other things, but I doubt it's her physical DNA but her spiritual. But I'm not sure why you brought that up. The First Returned had to be Nalthian too.

The metals on Scadrial are 100% normal and no different from metal you'll find elsewhere. There's no power in it.

Doesn't answer the question. Are we talking about how big a deal it is that this thing is bad or is it just . . . a bit large in volume?
-
Only reason Preservation created atium mistings was to burn that atium. If they could do it regardless there'd be no point.
-
That's not really a modern application, combat is all atium has ever been good for Just look at that atium misting army.

Is this metaphorical "big" or physical big?

On the Seon bond thing, in Reckoner fashion I'll attempt a weird metaphor. So this bond I have is a really sweet sports care. Unfortunately I live floating in space, so it's useless due to the lack of a floor. Sparks man, what a piece of junk. Then I show up to Roshar. Suddenly the car is much more useful. Horses envy me, I feel like I found a potato in a minefield and scored myself a date. But nothing changed about the car. Or a Kryptonian on Krypton as opposed to one on Earth. I don't really read comics but IIRC Superman doesn't spontaneously change. It's the Sun that changed on him, and his preexisting genetics did what they were supposed to. Which under a red giant was essentially nothing, as opposed to the yellow sort of sun where he is pretty overpowered by human standards. There is something about Roshar that seems to cause bonds to splinters to manifest some form of a magic system, and it might do so indiscriminately to any such bond no matter the form. As for Vasher though, maybe looking into his trick to suppressing divine breath might be related too? He'd need a pretty big gemstone otherwise. How long is a Nalthian week actually?

That's what I always assumed the steel bubble to be; pushing everything at once, rather than an actual field of power. Think the Lord Ruler did something similar once, and in true Lord Ruler fashion even shook the glass windows. I guess the trick is to learn to actually push everything indiscriminately without having to consciously acknowledge the presence of every individual line?

Ah, but half the 16 are alloys, so you must count god metal alloys too. That's 32 more at least plus the pure god metals, then the alloy of the two. Depending on whether the Harmony metal is a unique substance or just the aforementioned alloy of atium-lerasium then that's potentially another god metal plus 16 more alloys, plus 2 for harmonium-atium and harmonium-lerasium. The total is between 51 and 70 if my sleepy self can maths right.

Because just because the bond does something extra in a different environment doesn't mean the bond itself is any different from before.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

When this doesn't seem weird at all. -
Or you could just use blowdarts? :/

I've been thinking. Isn't it impossible to determine speed/velocity without something to measure your displacement relative to? Steelminds don't seem to send you flying off the planet when storing, or Sazed would've had issues while he was storing everything at once in that chair before the battle. So is steelrunning relative to some frame of reference?

Discrepancy in the Epigraphs from Mistborn (HOA spoilers)

He's also kind of a rebel as a human though. Might be that. Or maybe that prophecy has yet to come to pass . . . nah. -
Miles survived dynamite in his own hand and regenerated. I'm sure limbs and digits are doable. Head, probably not so much. Though Hoid supposedly has grown a head before, but not with feruchemy. So magic in general can probably grow heads, but it's just the way tapping works. Parts of a head though are fine. Shotgun to the face doesn't even kill.

Now I actually wonder what happens when you spike yourself, become savant in that power, then take the spike out. The distortions would logically remain but the upside would be gone?

20 hours, I believe. Everything is 10 here.

[Theory] Taravangian's real way of saving mankind

Basically after a certain threshold of genius is reached you basically have enough of a grasp on psychology that you can predict people as if they were chess pieces. It's a bit scary. -

There is no moon orbiting Scadrial, so that'd be difficult. I think a steel compounder won't have much trouble getting to escape velocity honestly . . .

So Rashek is secretly Obliteration?

When you come here to post every time you're waiting on your respawn timer in a video game. -
I guess they either cause the investiture equivalent of heat death or they smash into the next closest shard and fuse?
-
Well that's the kind of thing you might as well tell kids to never do early on, worst case scenario. Could be worse. The book could've actually described it.
