  1. Just curious, but could any one tell me from which generation WalDo is from?
  2. Felt isn't kandra. His first apperance was in a time that all kandra followed the Contract. If Felt were a kandra, Straff would hve paied for two, and even the ventures don't have that much atium(even if they did, why would you need two kandra). Unless Felt were a spy on the Ventures... (Why must I always kill my own theories?) Regrdes of that, if Felt were a kandra, why would he keep such an odd name on roshar? Let alone the same bones from three hundred year old dead person? it is much more likely that Felt is a world hopper all his own.
  3. Holy Stormfather! I realy can't storming read any of this. Well, storm on friends!
  4. I mean the returned is awake, and has been around for a year. would they change their form to match a drawing of them that they "know" is actuate, but is actually slightly off? Like their nose is shaped differently in the drawing than it actually is. Sorry for not clarifying.
  5. I recall Syl being a group of leaves, does that mean she could also be a hand full of shap triangular thingies (mistborn)? What would be the point of dual wielding? It is rather hard to do and fairly impracticable in combat. It was done, but the best way to use them is likely as hook blades, not masive swords ment to kill 12" tall beats, and I doubt they had hook blades on Roshar.
  6. I think that consciousness probably has something to do with it, or mabey it is perception and sense of identity. Syl has a strong sense of identity, and there for cannot be influenced by a drawing, and flamespren have basically no sense of identity, and that is why they are static when measured... I think that is where I was going with this. I really should go to cosmere theories with this next question, but I'm to lazy. What would happen is you drew a Returned slightly from their original form?
  7. Thank you for correcting me. Though I am still curious as to I'd you could soulcast a spren. And I'm sure soulcasting is the same for Jasna as it is for shallan, as it is the same surge.
  8. In WoR (it was WoR, right?) a pair of ardents were messuring flame spren, and then they were bound in their current form. what would happen if Shallan tried to draw Syl in her sharditem form, or her in the form of a bunch of leaves?
  9. If it is true that you could invest your own spren, could someone force Shallan to soulcast Pattern, or is the investing consensual? @redbird Rock doesn't fight, so you're stuck with the pelagic untill he starts glowing some more. Go The Lopen!
  10. I think the fourth entity removed is a descendent. I think that because it says ,"Forth entity removed," and not, "Fourth entity, removed." The comma implies that it is an action to be made, and the former is stating a fact about the shadowblaze. Also if the author were talking about removing things, why not just say ," having removed the fourth entity," just to clear it all up?
  11. @shardcellit And there goes that theory...maybe. The gem has always acted as an intermediary of investiture. Maybe the gem is the cap stone in the relationship. The spren were linked directly to the human via spirit relm. I am now thinking that the gem is substituting for the spirit relm in this particular relationship.
  12. @lumen You bring up a fair point, and it is feasible that the gems investiture, or rather stormlight, is what allows the semi-bond to grow.
  13. When the radients killed their spren, the swords were left, I think that makes that the form they remember and wish to emulate. I think that they are bonding to the spirit web of man when he holds the blade for the prerequisite week. Then they feel the bond (nahle?) again and want to emulate the relationship they had with their knight.
  14. Zahale isn't bonded, so I would assume he would only be able to use breaths. And stormlight usege is dependent on the spren. it isn't like rithmatics, where you have to know the use of the line, or like bio-chroma where you have to comand with specific things in mind. It is like allomancy, meaning the usage is fixed. When Kal full lashed for the first time he didn't know what would happen. according to this, zahale wouldn't be able to use stormlight in a similar fassion to breath.
  15. If the heart beat syncing brings the blade to bear, why does it stay in, or come back to, the physical realm when the shard holder dies?
  16. Oh, that is true, it isnt just going to sit there and let you die. thanks for the correction.
  17. Thanks. Rubix you rock.
  18. Realy? Ok.
  19. Zahel? Is he not an ardent? also, invested clothing would only protect from shardblades, not regular wepons, and a fist would still crush your skull in.
  20. Ok. Makes sence. Just trying to spark conversation on this topic.
  21. Ok, ok I see where your going with that, but the cryptics and honor spren seem to only inhabit the cognitive, untill one they are willing to bond with shows up (speculation, no WoB). WoR spoiler This makes me think shardblades are only kept out of the physical world thru shear will of the barer, and then when tha barer dies the blade reverts to its normal form.
  22. I didnt reply to kirks quote, I saw that after I had posted mine. I replied to green hoodie. I will admit I likely jumped to conclusions saying the blade would vanish, but Warbreaker spoiler and they were transmutted into smoke (it was smoke right?) In spite of their investiture. That was my thought process anyways.
  23. Would an awakened cloak stop a shard blade?
  24. Thank you.
