When you and your sister can carry out an entire conversation about character traits/development all in terms of different Brandon Sanderson characters.
For Example:
Sister: What should my character be like?
Me: You could make him a good leader like Kaladin.
Sister: Actually, I think I'll make him a mix of Elend and Raoden, so he'll be kind of nerdy, but also a natural leader and really nice person.

Granted, but somehow, Rory dies again along with all of your favorite characters. *shakes fist* MOFFAT!!!
I wish I could get into my college of choice without having to apply.

Granted, but you make the rookie mistake of pointing it at your face and lose an eye.
I wish I was capable of writing good books.

I have found truth. I have found peace. I have found Stick.
We should all try to be like Stick. He teaches us not to change for those evil Firebringers, but to remain as our true selves. As sticks, united in maintaining and spreading the word of Stick.
I AM A STICK.

Granted, but you can never get close enough to Elantris for it to be useful.
I wish Lift is my best friend.

When you think, "aww, 'sanderfan.' Why didn't I call dibs on that name??"
That's what happens when you read this thread before you actually make an account.
When one day, you decide that you just have to know how to write in the Alethi women's script, and spend hours practicing.
When you spend most of school contemplating what sort of powers you would have in each different world of the Cosmere.

Thanks everyone! I've sort of been on this site for a while, so I know about Hoid, Realmatics, Adonalsium, and all that jazz. I'm actually in the process of rereading all of the books I've already read so I can catch all of the easter eggs I missed the first time.
I also enjoy playing with white text. It's loads of fun.

Welcome! Which Sanderson books have you read and which are your favourite?
I've read all of the Mistborn books, Elantris, Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians and SA. And SA is my favorite.
Welcome to the insane world of the 17th Shard where ponies, theories and
spikescookies are available to all!Care for a cookie?*
*May cause loss of sanity, life or allomantic powers.
Hmm, loss of sanity and allomntic powers, or no? I definitely want this cookie.

Shard of Fiber. The magic to get things moving.
Upvote because I seriously laughed for about five minutes because of the Shard of Fiber.
Shard of Fabulousness- obviously, the more fabulous, the more invested. Sadeas could totally hold this shard. (Sadeas speaking) "'...his fashion sense is absolutely repulsive. Red and orange? Not even a burnt orange, but a blatant, eye-breaking orange. And the rent style hasn't been fashionable for ages.'" (WoK, Ch 58, pg. 821, paragraph 4) Sadeas is just too fabulous for Roshar.

When you've been on these forums for a while now and finally decide to create an account so you can fangirl with all of the other sanderfans out there.
Also, I've discovered this hiding stuff in white text thing now, so that's cool, I guess.
When you automatically try to soothe someone when they start freaking out about something and then you remember you're not an allomancer.

Hello! I'm new to this. I've been reading Sanderson's books for a few months now and I'm already crazy obsessed. Of course, these forums will only worsen said obsession, but hey, it'll be fun.

I'm not the most knowledgable on this topic, so sorry if I get some of this stuff wrong.
Maybe her killing her mother is what she thinks broke her, but maybe the thing that actually broke her was when she realized that her mother wanted to kill her. I imagine that could be traumatic enough for a bond to happen.
I never noticed this before, so I don't really know, but that's what I'm thinking.
