But the Shard page is so big! And my phone screen is so tiny! I dislike scrunching down to read on tiny screen. Is annoying. Also, I am old. Again with the tiny screen. Anyway, it's a moot point. Apparently the Shard has been unblocked.

Heh. Indirectly, maybe. I think there's a cadre of IT people at Redacted, Inc who check out any websites regularly visited by employees and check to see if they're appropriate. They categorized the Shard as "entertainment" and thus unworthy. And yet they still allow YouTube. They SAY don't go there because bandwidth is precious, but they don't block it.

Things That Are True: 1. The Shard is now blocked at work. Boo. 2. I want to see the new Ghostbusters movie. I'm sure it will be terrible, and yet I don't care. 3. Tiny!Jasnah turned out awesome. 4. ConQuesT in a week and a half! And then I will be done with cons till August. Phew. 5. I have writing that needs done. 6. ??? 7. Profit!

It usually hits when I drift to a light enough level of sleep that I shift and stretch - the stretch catches and everything goes to hell. (Hint: it's usually dehydration. Sometimes potassium deficiency, but most of the time if you just drink more water it stops happening.) Blech, soymilk. Lactaid milk is actually real milk.

In the end, it's a matter of opinion. But - we're responding to a poster who is vehemently against reading spoilers. I think it's only right to err on the side of caution and recommend the least spoilery path. I know that if I had read Secret History on someone's advice claiming that it wasn't spoilery, I would've been...upset. -
I would actually respectfully disagree with this. Secret History contains a major spoiler for the end of Bands of Mourning. Brandon himself has said that he would prefer people read Bands before SH.

Leia had something similar happen to her when she was a puppy, only we're not actually sure if she got stung by something or she just had an allergic reaction to one of her vaccination shots. So now she gets an antihistamine whenever she gets a lepto booster, just to be safe.

I actually had to look it up to remember what happened to the puppy. It really is anticlimactic, it's just in there to make you feel worried. Heh. Sounds like Bruce ate something that stung him and he had an allergic reaction. Maybe now he won't be so quick to eat strange bugs!
